The majority of the time companies that panic over OSHA is organizations that are lacking knowledge regarding rules and policies. The OSHA website has an abundant amount of resources available for both employees and employers to conduct research as well as training. After visiting the www.OSHA.gov website, the additional recommendations are given to the Dynamic Duo Inc. owners to ensure the company is establishing a safety culture among their employees. One recommendation is organizing a safety committee. A safety committee can influence the behavior of other co-workers. They are a tremendous asset in identifying work hazards in the workplace since they perform these tasks on a daily basis (Bertinuson, 1981). Also, have the plant manager collaborate with the safety committee members to conduct monthly safety training. OSHA requires yearly training for all employees. Documentation is needed when training occurs. It is important to note that each mandatory training session depends on the type of product manufactured. Some firms may require more training while other may not. However, there are OSHA training topics required by every organization regardless of the type of organization or product they produce. A Work Health and Safety Policy is an explicit statement of business commitment to work health and safety.
