No one is a better you than yourself. It had took me a little more then 15 years for me to realize this, and all it took was an obsessive Kanye West phase. As I kept hearing his music I dove deeper into his life and was baffled. Kanye West had helped me speak up for what I believe in while being myself and try to better the community I live in. You should not be afraid to say what you believe in. Even if it can be the most controversial saying that might ever be said, you would still be sticking up for what you believe in. Through Kanye’s “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” I had realized that if no one had ever spoke up about any subject, the world would succumb into chaos as everyone would let people do whatever they want and no
Throughout history, the biggest reforms in government, philosophy, and behavior have been made by freethinking and outspoken people. People such as Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr., and Nelson Mandela changed the world with their actions and words. While others, including Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Walt Disney implement their talents to business to change the world. All are spoken highly of and are highly regarded. One name that is wrongly ostracized from this list is Kanye West. Kanye West is an intelligent person whose actions and outbursts, despite the media’s attempts to make them look incoherent and uncivilized, actually come from a place of goodwill and promote a platform of freethinking.
I once feared greatly of speaking my mind but I have reached the conclusion that I should always, no matter if people think I am wrong, rebellious, or alone, speak my truths as I know them to
Most people either extremely dig Kanye West, or they just down right hate him. Kanye is not only known for his incredible talent and beautiful wife, but also his cocky attitude and what some people would call narcissistic behavior. Regardless of what you may think about him, Mr.West is a pop culture phenomenon who's accomplishments and attitude are things each man, no matter what age, can draw inspiration from. Not only is he the newest recipient of the coveted Video Vanguard Award from MTVs VMAs(which aired this past Sunday), he's also expecting a baby boy with Kim K and has a highly anticipated album dropping very soon. I'm not sure who you look up, but Kanye should be on that list. Here are five reasons why you should admire Kanye West. From popped polo collars, to stylish retro shades, Kanye has always been a trendsetter in the fashion world.
Kanye had an intellectually challenging upbringing and was raised in a middle-class home. He was the only child of an English literature professor mother, and his father who was an award-winning photojournalist and an active Black Panther member. Before Kanye’s superstar days, he was just an ordinary kid from Chicago, Illinois striving to become a successful artist. He was attending the Chicago State University and was taking art classes at the American Academy of Art but decided to drop out to place all of his attention on his career in music. Kanye’s journey in music began by producing songs for local rap artists. Kanye obtained his first big break in 2001, producing songs for Jay-Z’s double-platinum selling album The Blueprint. In the early
Kanye West is an artist, rapper, and producer that has changed rap and hip hop for ages to come, with his different style of rapping and beats which has set the bar the highest for any upcoming rapper. Kanye West was born in Chicago Illinois on June 8th, 1977. His mother and father were divorced when he was just a baby. His Mother Donda West was a Professor at Clark Atlanta University, and the Chair of the English Department at Chicago State University. While his Father Ray West was a former Black Panther and was one of the first black photojournalists, and later became a Christian counselor. West began writing poetry when he was just 5 years old, his mother realized that he had a passion for music when he was in the third grade when he started rapping. When he hit seventh grade he started composing music, then at age 13 he begged his mother to pay $25 per hour in a recording studio. As he was recording his music he met producer No I.D., who became his mentor and taught him how to sample and program beats after Kanye got his first sampler. After he graduated from high school he was awarded a scholarship to go to Chicago 's American Academy of Art in 1996 but he only went there for a short period of time then transferred to Chicago State University as an English major. Then at age 20 he realized his musical dream was more important than what he was learning in college.
Kanye West was apparently "acting unpredictably" prior to he was required to medical facility and also positioned under analysis a day after terminating his Life of Saint Pablo Scenic tour.
Kanye West has many heroic traits about him. One of which, is his capability for
“Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you…I’ll let you finish. But Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time!” (West). Most people if they don’t know anything about Kanye West, they know this quote. When anybody hears his name everybody always has an opinion. Some people love him, while a lot of other people hate him, each for a variety of reasons. Though most people only see the arrogant and egotistic side of Kanye, the more important side that people don’t always see is the hardworking musician. In order to fully understand Kanye’s motives and to fully appreciate him, people have to know how he got to the point he is now today.
The celebrity that I've chosen to do a personality assessment on is Kanye West. Kanye West started out his career by helping others produce music, but soon he began making music himself. His debut album, The College Dropout propelled him into stardom as a hip hop and rap artist. In recent years, Kanye's relevancy to the public has stopped being about his music and more about his personal life. West has stayed relevant to the public through a marriage to reality star, Kim Kardashian and through his many outlandish speeches and interviews.
Words can build or break an individual. Growing up I was taught to keep any harmful comments to myself, nevertheless many individuals seem to have no regard of what others think or how their words can harm them. Through words Martin Luther King was able to stand up against segregation. Through words Abraham Lincoln was able to unite the nation after the civil war. Words are a powerful weapon and if used unjustly, it can be the downfall of someone or a nation. We have no right to libel, slander, or harm one another, yet when one does they say they were “voicing their opinions.” It is sad to see individuals “protesting” by breaking businesses windows, trashing the streets, harming police officers and harming other citizens. How is this voicing their opinion? Why shall one trash the streets of our nation, our home, and declare it’s freedom of speech. Like it or not we must understand that police officers and citizens who don’t see our view on things also have the right to voice their opinion. Our nation came together because of our differences; however, we gladly push someone down who doesn’t have the same mindset as
Kanye West likely seeks reinforcement and loves attention, negative or positive from individuals he does not know, or is not familiar with because of his constant need for attention. He acts the way he does due to his thought process and erratic personality/ personality disorders.
“There’s nothing I really wanted to do in life that I wasn’t able to get good at. That’s my skill. I’m not really specifically talented at anything except for the ability to learn. That’s what I do. That’s what I’m here for.”- Kanye West. Kanye West was able to extract the indescribable words of my thoughts and relate to me about what I want to do in my life. Growing up I had a wide variety of interests in learning about art, business, and fashion. Soon thereafter, trying to decide what college I wanted to attend felt impossible because there were no majors combined all of my interests. As a result, my future became blurry and lost, but I found new ways to create my future with inspiration from breaking my old habits.
Republicans and Democrats have been fighting over the issue of immigration since the 1900s. Immigration has been an issue declared by both Democrats and Republicans alike over debates, elections and even the presidency. Each political party has different viewpoints of immigration and how it effects society and the U.S. as a whole. Immigration is the great division between two opinions. These two sides are: one being people that are accepting with immigrants coming in and out of the U.S., while the others say there shouldn’t be any immigrants coming to the U.S. Both parties have different stances on these issues, however, neither are as reliable as the facts.
The movies Three Kings with The Siege of Jadotville, both war like movies, show two different types of political movies. Three Kings which is an overwhelmingly liberal film based on the first Gulf War under president George H. W. Bush and then there is The Siege of Jadotville which is based on the Katanga conflict in Congo-Léopoldville was a centrist film. There are certain criteria that a movie must fall into that enables them to be categorized as a conservative, liberal, revolutionary right, radical right, revolutionary left, and radical right and these films fell into their respective categories. So why were these films categorized like that and what did these films do that place them in these categories along with what being in this category means in terms of the criteria that are fulfilled.
Have you ever hesitated giving an answer to something out of fear that it would be wrong, only to find out that you were right all along? Speaking up is something that takes courage, be it answering a problem or even about an unpopular opinion. It’s important to speak up so that you can learn from your mistakes or get a different side to something that you may’ve not considered, rather than just be in an echo chamber of your own making.
