I’ve always had a love for science, and an interest in the human body. Ever since I was five, i’ve screamed about becoming a “baby doctor”. Now that I am older and I know that there are many physician tittle I could have that deal with children, I choose to be a Obstetric Gynecologist, because I don’t only want to treat babies, I want to deliver them. While having my first child I experienced how thrilling bringing a child into this world could be. There are screams, tears, laughter, and anger all at the same time. Then go on to medical school to pursue a doctorate degree in medicine. ( http://www.innerbody.com ). Before one can go to medical school they have to take the necessary college courses to qualify for the medical admissions test (MCAT). Those courses include but are not limited to , 2 semesters of general chemistry , organic chemistry, general physics, and general biology with labs, followed by 2 semesters of english, and 1 semester of calculus. Some medical schools may require a biochemistry or additional calculous credit. Some students are also encouraged to take a gender studies course in medical school to aid their knowledge of Obstetric Gynecology (http://www.startmedicine.com ). Once these classes are completed, the MCAT test is taken for placement into medical school. After the completion of medical school the last step to becoming a Licensed OBGYN is a four to eight year residency, in which the medical student will be paid to work with a licensed physician to learn more about that field of medicine (http://www.medicinenet.com) .
