I write to express my interest in the Office Administrative Assistant position at Baxter Korea because I have a few related work experiences: office admin, secretary and back-up receptionist. The personal assistant position at Chatswood Diagnostic Centre (CDC) enabled me to strengthen my ability to provide administrative support in a professional and confidential manner as I was in charge of managing both personal and company’s bank accounts, employees’ personal details including work histories, superannuation and medical conditions. This role demanded a high level of accuracy and attention to detail as I was responsible for calculating the working hours and wages of each employee. Moreover, I also had to monitor whether the all payments made by patients/customers had been correctly transacted into the company’s bank account. In addition, I was responsible …show more content…
In my previous role at Korean Cultural Office (KCO), I was able to prove my ability to work co-operatively in a small team environment and manage competing deadlines both independently and as a member of a team. Since other interns and I had to translate the newspaper articles and send it to the Consulate-General of the Republic of Korea in Sydney by 1pm nearly every, I tried to delegate the articles relevant to their university majors to improve the group performance and meet the deadline. Additionally, as a back-up receptionist, I was in charge of updating data entries, resolving inquires, redirecting phone call of a member of public to the appropriate areas, consulting parents about school holiday programs both in person and over the phone. This allowed me to strengthen my communication skills and phone manner skills. Therefore, as an Office Admin and Receptionist, I think I can deal with colleagues’ and visitors’ queries, and ensure all visitors are processed and received by the appropriate

The English poet William Ernest Henley ended his most famous poem with the line “I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.” I have embodied this phrase in my personal life for years, but in recent years it has come to reflect my passion and dedication to become a Physician Assistant (PA). Nevertheless, a simple quote did not spark my initial interest in becoming a PA. I was first inspired by Henley’s words through my own personal struggles in my early college years; an arduous journey of self-discovery and humility. In an effort to guide me on my way, my mother gave me a paperweight with the aforementioned words inscribed around a compass. This seemingly symbolic gift held much more power and inspiration than she could have ever imagined. While certainly not easy, overcoming these obstacles has taught me the true meaning of perseverance, resoluteness, and faith.

I am applying to be a Resident Assistant for the 2015-2016 academic year because I want to make a change and create an impact on this campus. Growing up, I have had so many amazing opportunities to develop into the person that I am today, and I want to give back and allow others to be as fortunate as I am. Having been born and raised in Athens, GA I have always admired the University of Georgia as I grew up around this community. It had always been my dream to attend this great university and ever since the day that I was accepted I have been working to make this university even better. Over the years I have had several seminars and conferences to learn more about leadership, but the leadership positions I have put myself in have allowed me
I interviewed Sheronda for my class project. I was very happy to interview and ask some interesting questions.
During my undergraduate internship at the Madison County Public Defender’s Office I became interested in social work. This internship lead to a full time position as an Administrative Assistant. While I was spending my days completing general legal office work, I began inquiring about efforts to prevent recidivism. It was evident that individuals and families the office served would benefit from engagement and structures to address life challenges and enhance their well-being. I became the office’s Client Advocate providing empowerment and promoting social change to clients in the mental health and drug court systems. Fast forward nearly ten years and I am still committed to promoting social change, development, cohesion, and empowerment. My goal for graduate study is to learn and apply critical thinking and human behavior principals. In
Coming into university can be scary and I think the role a residence assistant plays is monumental in helping new students adapt to university life and I would really like to be able to play a part in that. In addition, while I was only a residence assistant for one semester, it was one of the best semesters I have ever had. I could tell I was making a positive impact on the student's lives and helping them make important life decisions and enjoy their first year of university. I also feel that I missed out on a lot by only being a member of RLS for the second semester as I missed out on the team bonding and extensive training that summer training provides as well as building a community from the start. Therefore, as I am going into my final
