Open Carry of Firearms Is Beneficial In America we have a constitution that states all the rights and restrictions upon citizens. In the constitution, there is a huge controversy going on about the second amendment, the right to bear arms. This amendment states that along with meeting regulations, the American citizen is allowed to own and possess weapons of many forms. This amendment is now under large amounts of scrutiny because of many things that have taken place in recent history. In today’s society, there are two sides to this controversy. There is the side that says that gun rights should be heavily restricted and nearly taken away, and you have the side that says that it is our right to own firearms. The side that says that America should restrict gun rights basically blames all of the major events that happen for the worse on guns. The other side says that all these major events are the result of poor decisions made by criminals that can get their hands on weapons no matter what the law says. Openly carrying in America could help eliminate this problem by making criminals think twice. In America there are many different views on the ownership, transaction, and possession of firearms. In the United States Bill Of Rights it says in the second amendment that, “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” This is a very vague statement that says no matter what the
