Perseus son of Danae and Zeus, was thrown into the ocean while locked in a chest at birth by his grandfather because of a prophecy. Later found by a fisherman named Dictys who raised Perseus with Danae. The ruler of the land Polydectes was the brothe of Dictys and wanted Danae, so he told Perseus that he wanted a gorgon head. Perseus went on a long journey trying to find a gorgon. Athena and Hermes help find the gorgons and give Perseus the Equipment to kill a gorgon. Perseus travels back home to
1. After Perseus has successfully attained the head of Medusa, along with losing many of his men, he is confronted by Calibos. During Perseus’ fight scene with Calibos, Perseus uses the sword granted to him by his father for the first time. The overall lighting of this scene is very dark to symbolize Calibos’ wickedness. However, once Perseus draws his sword, the lighting brightens only on Perseus, and he becomes the focal point of the scene. As a result, lighting is effectively used in this scene
If I were to summarize Clash of the Titans, it would be that Perseus, son of Zeus, watched his entire family die as a result of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, as a result of which he pursues the gorgon medusa in order to use her head to defeat the kraken. My summery of the Greek version would be that, Perseus; son of Zeus was cast out on the ocean with his mother in a trunk. After being discovered by a fisherman, Perseus grows up accepting his godly half, goes after medusa to save his
but Zeus impregnates her. Danaë, the daughter, gives birth to Perseus. The King locks Danaë and Perseus in a chest and casts them out to sea. The two eventually wash up at the home of Dictys, a kind fisherman, whose brother Polydectes, is the cruel ruler of the surrounding area. Polydectes wants to get rid of Perseus and marry Danaë, and asks Perseus to go kill Medusa, a horrible Gorgon (a supposed impossible task) The Gods favor Perseus and give him a mirrored shield, a sword. brave, Perseus has the same description. Perseus is the son of the god of all gods, Zeus. His mother is Danae who was locked away in a tower by her father so she would not have kids. Well, that does not work because she has Perseus. Her father puts her in a chest and throws her into sea (Rector 1). A man who saves them falls in love with Danae named King Polydectes, who hated Perseus being around. According to Rector, “He sent Perseus on a quest to kill the Gorgon, Medusa, knowing that Perseus would

Before these epics were written, Greek myths were passed along through spoken word. Also, when comparing and contrasting the Roman epic Aeneid to Homer’s Iliad and The Odyssey one will notice how similar they are. They both follow the story of the Trojan War. Aeneid follows the life
