On 09/15/2016, I, Chad Agnew, was working as a patrol officer for the Wichita State University Police Department, in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. At approxiametely 1412 hours I was in a meeting with Cpt. Herl in his office when I heard Officer Faison ask for another officer to his location on the radio. I got up and left Cpt. Herl's office and started running out to a patrol vehicle. I ran to vehicle 11 and got in the driver side. Officer Albert got in the front passenger side. I drove us to the physical plant where I saw Officer Faison talking to an elderly male outside of a vehicle. I exited the patrol vehicle and activated the dashcam. The male that Faison was speaking with was later identified as John Smarsh. He was very antimated and upset that he was involved in an accident. I noticed Sgt. Moyer and Officer Tener were backing up Officer Faison and it seemed to upset Smarsh more that so …show more content…
She also showed me the damage on Smarsh's vehicle too. Lacey wanted to show me out in the street where the accident occurred at. We walked down Perimeter close to the NIAR building. Lacey explained to me that she was driving her work vehicle south bound and she proceeded to go around the curve and drive west on Perimeter. She said there was a landscape truck that was stopped and pulled over to the side of the road somewhere on Perimeter when she was still driving south. She waited for the oncoming lane to be clear and she drove around the landscaping truck. She got back in her lane as soon as she could. She told me that she turned on her left turn signal to turn into the Physical Plant entrance. As she started to make the turn, the other vehicle driven by Smarsh ran into her. She explained that he was trying to pass her in the other lane. Lacey showed me where her skid marks were on the street from her vehicle sliding when the accident
She works evening as a food server and gets off around 11:00 PM. At about 9:30 PM, she receives a text message from Linda saying that she’s received a phone call from a former boyfriend, Anthony Moore, with who she recently broke up the relationship. She mentioned Anthony Moore being angry about the break up, while also sounding intoxicated on the phone. He didn’t make any threats when they spoke over the phone, but Linda claimed Anthony to be unpredictable when drinking. Linda sounded nervous and asked Lacy to stop by once she got off of work. Lacy went to the hospital to see if the woman found by the roadway was Linda. Officers standing by at the hospital phone me to report Lacy identified the victim as Linda Corbett. So at this time as other detectives are attempting to locate Anthony Moore, I obtained a search warrant to search the victim’s residence. I soon after served that search
Richard held Lexi's sweat-slicked body against his, tenderly kissing and caressing as they both came down from the heights of pleasure. Content to have seemingly satiated her needs as much as she had his, the Hacker possessed not the slightest inkling that her assumption of control stemmed not purely from desire, but because of Karl Williams. A man Richard despised, but who had also recently been allowed the satisfaction of bringing Lexi to orgasm by fucking her with a roughness much more brutal than that she'd denied him. Mustn't that mean, at least in some way, she'd enjoyed it? Despite his love for Alexandra, that question would likely always prey on Richard's mind if the truth ever emerged.
Over the course of the year, I received many writing assignments. Some assignments were relatively easy, while others challenged me. I learned a few lessons along the way, and I also enjoyed completing some of the pieces. Looking back on the year, and seeing my assignments graded on the Sage Day Holistic Writing Rubric, it is clear that this year was significant for me in terms of my writing.
1. When I was five years old I had lost my first tooth at the park. It was a sunny day and I was with my dad and we were going to fish. My tooth had been loose for a while and I had been wiggling it all day and my dad noticed instead of fishing I was messing with my tooth. We both stood up and he reached in my mouth and was able to pull it out, I heard a pop sound and fell down right after he pulled it out, so it looked like I fainted right after he did it. We laugh about it to this day but at the time I was scared when I first saw the blood but it’s still a funny story.
Sarah and I met in the second grade and immediately became best friends. At this point in my life, I genuinely needed her. Sure, I had friends, but I never truly fit in. At my Jewish private day school, I was the only Chinese student in my grade. My peers felt uncomfortable around me because they thought I was too "foreign." Many of them failed to understand that culturally, I was just like them. I converted to Judaism before I could speak and was raised by two Ashkenazi Jews since age one.
That weekend me and my friends were off having a blast in Minneapolis partying, drinking soda and eating pizza and snacks. I left minneapolis to go to my dad 's house and I drank more soda and played on my computer until ten when I went to bed.
My heart began to beat a little faster as the sound of the plane engine rumbled throughout the cabin. The day I’d fantasized about for weeks had finally arrived. I was aboard a plane headed to Orlando for one of the biggest cheer completions in the U.S. As we taxied down the runway and my stomach tightened. Was it excitement, anxiety, or nerves? I wasn’t sure, but I embraced it all with a smile.
Being a 15 year old kid in the tiny town of Walcott, Iowa, there isn’t very much adventure. The inability to drive, combined with the very few activities available in Walcott, creates a recipe for a teenager striving to find some form of independence. For me, this freeing feeling came through my trips to the town library over the summer.
My biggest enemy was myself, I was stopping myself from doing the one dream I’ve had my entire life. Maybe because I was scared, scared of being judged by those around me or maybe it was that I was scared of failure. “It is not failure itself that holds you back; it is the fear of failure that paralyzes you.” - Brian Tracy. Somehow I realized that if I wanted my dream to come true, I couldn’t keep waiting for me to be “ready” and that if I kept waiting to be ready I’d be waiting my whole life. So I took charge and I posted my first youtube video.
Sitting on top of the highest peak for miles, I feel the winter air whipping my face. The bitter cold makes my skin prickle and my breath, rapid and heavy after climbing to the top, freeze into my hair in beautiful, intricate flakes. They melt against my hot skin, leaving tear like drops spilling down my face. The cold feels wonderful, comforting even, after the strenuous climb. In this moment, I think of nothing but the air moving in and out of my body, like a river flowing quickly through a shallow stream; quick, yet quiet and relaxed.
October 31st,2015-Two years ago i was trick or treating with my friends. We had just come back from my freinds house at about 7pm,his parents were drunk and said we could stay out as long as we wanted.
My family and I just arrived at Dunroamin Park in Caledonia, Minnesota. We attend our annual family reunion campout here every year. My siblings and I went straight to the pool after we finished setting up the camper. I was playing in the pool with a bunch of my cousins and having a good time when my older brother tapped me on the shoulder.
My heartbeat pounded in my ears. I was breathing so heavily I was scared I would hyperventilate. It was silent other than the sounds of two sets of paws running over the crunchy autumn leaves on the dying forest floor.
I woke up on the ground bleeding, i can taste the concrete and i can hear someone saying get up you little B*tch. I woke with a start, excitement and anxiety bubbling inside of me. I kept trying to suppress my smile, but it kept etching its way onto my face. Last night, Christina, my sister, who is in college, came home, and today we were going to go on our annual snorkeling trip. I wanted to practice my swimming today, because I wanted to try out for the swim team. Christina was already on the college swim team, so I was hoping she could help me.
