After class this topic made me rethink about a lot of my personal goals I wish to achieve and the way I look at them. To start with I relooked at the views I had on most of my goals and they were mostly finite and it should be infinite. Therefore leaving me to need to change these views that can help me in my personal and business life. For me school is my bridge to the next life not just from the classes I take but from the people I meet. For example when I meet with an advisor to add classes. They ask you question and you give the best result on what would be the best to meet them needs. The goal is to not just obtain a degree but for most to live a life for years to come. For me school has always been a question of why do I need it and why do I need to pay this much to obtain it. Not most have to do to obtain their successful lifestyle. For me on a personal level this will be an infinite experience and even better life goal. …show more content…
Finite goal. Now that I am actually here I get to put myself in places and events to meet people that are like minded. As a result I get to learn from actually people that knows more knowledge on subjects. There are unlimited options to attend; events, conventions, clubs, etc. Nevertheless a sea full on multiple sources to pick from which makes it an infinite sea of ways to help me learn the correct topics to get me in the right directions. By applying these theories to how I look at all my goal in life will not only make me work harder but it will make me work smarter. To know that life is not a game we play to win the best of all but to play a game and to stay two step ahead of the next player is how it should actually be played. All this is what I love to be learning about; this is material that is not just setting me up to set finite goals. Let alone to set up short term goals. This is where I need to be to become the person I know I was meant to
Whether we like to believe it goals play an important part in our lives. They keep us on track with what we want to accomplish in life. Some of my biggest goals were made as a child and others where just by surprise. However now I have much different goals set for myself. I have three main goals that can be separated into a personal, professional, and academic area. A personal goal is to become a great runner and roll model. A professional goal of mine is to become a nurse to help others in need and finally, my academic goal is to get a 3.5 GPA and graduate college. All these goals can be accomplished with hard work and dedication just like any other goal in life. We all want to strive for the best and sometimes we need smaller goals to help
Now that my goals are listed out and articulated into a time frame it really helps to put things into perspective of what needs to happen now. For instance I am just starting out in bobcats against hunger as an executive board member. I hope this position will bring out some more leaderships skills within me that will help me later in life, like when I apply for graduate schools and in the real world working hopefully doing my dream job. That is just yet another example of something that will help gear my towards my end goal. If no one ever set goals where would we be today? It is an interesting question and one that makes me thankful that we all set goals daily and achieve them. For example if I did not set a goal to review for a test then come that test I probably wouldn’t pass which would not further me along my aspirations to finish college. So therefore I’m glad I set goals and that everyone else does no matter how big or small they all eventually lead to something
Personal goals usually have theirs ups and downs but in the end the satisfaction of completing a goal is unmatchable. Goals are helpful guides in life that steer you towards achievements and goals can shape a person’s life. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life was shaped with his goal for equality of all races. King instead of being known as a baptist minister his goal shaped his legacy and now King is forever remembered as a leader of the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. The same can be said with my experience in building my computer which shaped my future forever. My personal achievement of building a computer is responsible for many decisions in life.
As one well knows, it is easy to make goals, but it takes a greater determination and effort to reach them.
My lifetime goal is to become a Humanitarian, but my lifetime career is to become an advanced nurse with specialties in various areas (in particular, the emergency room specialty.) Becoming a Humanitarian appealed to me greatly when I realized how much my community and family played a major part in my success. Which helped me realized that aiding someone in their success, just as my community did in mines, was a task I would enjoy reciprocating to others. My goal: to pursue a career I would enjoy greatly and during that time build my wealth properly and once I have a reasonable about of wealth, I plan to give that wealth back to various communities where I know that just a little extra belief in an individual could transform their life.
My professional goal is to attend a 4 year college in the Mainland to get a Pediatric degree. I chose this as my professional goal because I have personal experience of losing a baby. That made me even more love babies and help the ones in need. This professional goal is important to me because there is some people out there in the world that does not take care of their babies after they give birth or even while they are pregnant. They do not eat healthy or they drink alcohol or, even do drugs that will hurt the baby. It is also important to me because if your baby is born unhealthy or in pain some parents will not care or do anything to help the baby. Seeing babies unhealthy or not being taken care of hits home hard for me. This goal might
My personal goal I wish to attain within the next year is purchase my first home. I am not sure where I would like to purchase my first home at this particular time because I am not sure if I want to stay in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana or move to Atlanta, Georgia. By being the only child and not sure if I want to move back home to Marrero, Louisiana, but I will continue to way my options before deciding on the exact location. Also, my personal plan within in the next year is to purchase a new car. In the next 5 years, my personal goals are to be in a committee relationship and traveling to Hawaii, Jamaica, London, Paris, Africa, and Costa Rica. Also, I plan to take my immediate family on a cruise to the Bahamas as an appreciation for helping,
There are many different reasons that I have for going to school. My first and most impotant purpose, is setting a good exsample for my son. As he grows older I want him to undersand that education is key to success. I would like him to know that hard work pays off,and he can do anything he puts his mind to. My second purpose is creating a foundation for financial success, and better living. With a dagree I will be more likely to recive higher paying jobs then without one. I will be able to provide for my family and have a little fun. My last purpose is having somehting to be proud of by finishing what i started. My college journy started when i was 17 and inmuture. I wasnt studious or responable enough to hanle the college setting. Now that
A lifetime goal of mine is to become a coach of any kind. Being an athlete working hard and the feeling of success is great; sharing my talents with someone younger than me is something that I have always wanted to do. Help them become a champion, to be at the highest point in their game. Being a top rated athlete in the sport you play is a very good thing to have to look better for scouts or coaches. Training hard every day is a must staying focused is a major key in becoming a good athlete. Coaching kids to see they’re full potential and see they’re goals and reach them is a long time goal of mine.
I have gained so much knowledge from the schools I have gone to and would not be as smart as I am today if I did not acquire an education. Being a student has shaped me to be a hardworking individual. It has also pushed me to set goals for myself and have high expectations. Having the trait of being hardworking will get you very far in life. If you are hard working, you are not going to give up and will reach the goals you aim for. Setting goals for yourself is also very important because it gives you an idea of what you want to accomplish in a certain amount of time. Having high expectations will make you push yourself to be the best you, you can
I am going to tell you the steps to "Activate Your Personal Success." So, as you think of this outcome-whatever goal that you want to accomplish. Imagine if by accomplishing this goal or this outcome;
We have been taught to set goals for most of our lives. The goals have ranged from reading a certain book, to passing a class, to even getting into your dream school and earning a degree. Even now as we push forward to complete one of the long-term goals we must remember to set smaller goals for ourselves to keep from getting overwhelmed. When set properly, goals drive us forward in all that we do.
I feel as though I put more time into my personal goals than my professional goals. For my first personal goal, I definitely achieved it. I traveled to 8 different countries, sometimes traveling alone and I figured out how to navigate each and every one. Through a mix of confidence, google maps and trial and error, I figured out the best methods to travel in each country I was in. For my personal goals centered around Ireland, I feel as though I achieved those as well. I used public transportation with ease and knew which buses took me where I needed to go. I traveled to some touristy things and some lesser known things throughout Ireland, like the Powerscourt Estate which has one of the top gardens in the world according to National Geographic.
Setting goals has allowed has helped me to become a more successful and creative person. I’ve noticed when working on my assignments, I perform better and my grades have improved. Now that I am closer to my goals I am much happier and less stressed. Another thing I learned about goals are that they must be my own in order for them to work for me. Owning my own healthcare agency one day is one of my most important goal. Networking allowed me to get an idea of places I would like to work upon graduation. Some of the nursing homes in the area where I live would be a great place to start because it would give me a sense of direction. Visiting these places will be a critical part of my success. Preparing myself by setting goals and networking have made me a stronger candidate to enter the business
As a child and even as a teenager one tends to make dreams and set goals for life. On occasion these goals are far stretched and sometimes even fairy-tale like, we tend to see life through a rose-colored glass, not taking into account the many sidetracks life throws our way. At that stage in life our goals tend to be less focused and somewhat unreachable. However, the process of growing up, or maturing, tends organized and center our goals, we learn to make compromises and set goals for our goals. There are different types of goals, short term and long term. I have learned to separate the many goals I have into three main categories: family, professional and personal.
