Finally, after weeks of work, Erica was able to take my break from her job as a nurse. Erica and her boyfriend, James, sit on the couch having a movie day where all they’re gonna do is sit in and watch movies. All the sudden the doorbell ring, making them both jump a little. James goes to check who it is and comes back with some flowers. “They’re for you.” James said. The card attached to the flowers reads, To my one and only, Anonymous. , in a fancy cursive writing. “Who are those from?” James asked “My mom, just being nice.” Erica replied Feeling nervous, she set the flowers on the table wondering who they were really from. A few weeks later, after getting either flowers or love cards in the mail by delivery, one day pushed Erica and James off the edge. One day with Erica cleaning the …show more content…
Not so good as to what I’ve seen so far. Anyways lets get to the point, Erica is hidden somewhere in the city. I’ve given you a few challenges and riddle to get through to hint to where Erica really is. Think of this as a little game. The rules, only one, no cops, got that. Now, as for your first clue here it is - You go to the lake for fishing and fun, then you find treasure and it’s all done - Good luck, James.” James thought and it didn’t take him long to figure out he’s going to need a fishing pole, a fish finder and a boat. He went out to the only lake in Little Lake, California. He went around in the boat and the fish finder scanned the bottom of the lake, when he say something that looked strange he would try to see if he could snag it with the pole. He did this for weeks until finally he hit the jackpot. James snagged what looked like a treasure chest with a lock on the front. As soon as he got it out of the water he rushed home to open it. He got out a hammer and some wire cutters. He broke the lock with the hammer and inside was a plastic zip-lock bag a tape recorder. The recorder
Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, once said, “I attribute my success to this:—I never gave or took an excuse.” That is an outlook on life I try to live up to. I have had a few set backs in my college career to keep me from achieving my goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. I could have easily given up on my dream but I took those hardships and turned them into fuel to keep going. My father suffered a massive heart attack and went into cardiac arrest when I first started college. It completely flipped by life upside down. I spent weeks at a time in the hospital with him. Seeing him go in and out the hospital for years reaffirmed my need to become a nurse and help others like how those nurses took care of my father. Once I
We live in a world where the human race seems to be disconnected. Nowadays it feels that there are not enough people helping each other. I don’t treat life like a competition I look at it and I ask myself how may I help? What may I do to make this world a more suitable place for all to live a comfortable and peaceful life? I yearn to come forward and fulfill my role and contribute to our society in any way possible. Nursing is my calling for helping others. It sounds cliché, this I know, but it’s what I desire and what I decided to do with my body, mind, and soul.

People said they were Mayella Ewell's" (17.195). Mayella Ewell plants the geraniums in the Ewell household in order to see something of quality happening in her life. Furthermore, the geraniums represent a need for beauty in Mayella Ewell’s life, and a need to brighten the lives of those around her. “A young girl walked to the witness stand. As she raised her hand and swore that the evidence she gave would be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help her God, she seemed somehow fragile-looking, but when she sat facing us in the witness chair she became what she was, a thick-bodied girl accustomed to strenuous labor”(18.204). Geraniums symbolize esteem and gentility in the world of flowers. Similarly, Mayella Ewell symbolizes esteem and gentility by being strong despite being poor. "I got somethin' to say an' then I ain't gonna say no more. That nigger yonder took advantage of me an' if you fine fancy gentlemen don't wanta do nothin' about it
A lady or damsel involved in a courtly romance would bestow small gifts upon her suitor as a sign of her affection. The letter was in penciled printing and said “look out at what used to be your roses.” That's when Miss Strangeworth looked outside to see her no longer beautiful roses. It is shocking to find out that someone would do this since even Main Streets tourists admired these roses.

“That’s alright, I know what it means.” he had smiled lightly, and softly taken the flower from the blushing boys’ hands, only to snip the stem with the nearby clippers, and reached forward to put it behind Dipper’s ear. Which, at this point, had turned a deep red along with his face. Bill had looked at him and took his hand. He bowed slightly to place a soft kiss to it, then looked up at him with a grin.
Through this, she accuses the King and Queen of the guilt she wants them to feel, and using flowers in this indirect way is safer than directly stating her opinions. The people of those days found it difficult to express and communicate directly. This is based from fear and lack of polite and
It was a Wednesday night and my mother had left for her job at Manor Care again. The house felt hollow, mimicking my state of mind. I was lonely and could not find anything to occupy my time. I did not have any siblings and I was left all by myself in our home. Before she left, my mother said to me, “Najee, this is only temporary until I become a Registered Nurse.” Although I was happy that my mother wanted to pursue her career dreams, for me, the nights by myself filled me with an unparalleled void. I had this lingering feeling that I was locked in a bubble, insulating me from the outside world. A once happy boy had turned into a sad child; I had lost my joie de vivre. I no longer had any positive emotions towards anyone or anything. As a result, my grades began to slip and my once stellar academic record turned into something that I knew was not reflective of the type of student I was.
I want to see you smile, but you have not smiled since that day, the day that you learned that Holy Roma died and you have not love since then, I'm right” as Prussia spoke, he pulled out a bouquet of cornflower, dark crimson rose, white lily and lily-of-the-valley

She replied, “It's been a long time since anyone sent me roses, but I can't go to lunch. We need to remain just friends.” Gilbury told another teacher that she was uncomfortable about receiving the roses and card and that Lewiston would not leave her alone. She expressed concern that Lewiston might get “more romantic” with her.
