I specifically searched for universities in entertainment hubs so that, alongside pursing my production degree, I could be working in the industry. This what I do in Austin currently: I perform with my two bands, rehearse, book shows, contribute to others or my own recording sessions, create bills for shows, and collaborate with other artists in the scene. It's been exciting to take my first audio engineering course with a respected, veteran Austin musician and engineer: Tim Dittmar. It's certainly got me further in the door of understanding and helped realize for certain that engineering and producing is a job I would enjoy. I've been able to apply some of what he has taught me into my mixes, though I'm still learning. Finding a mentor or
Throughout high school, I continuously explored a wide variety of courses in an attempt to figure out what career path I may want to pursue. As senior year drew closer, the business field became more enticing. Furthermore, my aspirations were significantly impacted on the evening of September 14, 2016. I woke up that day and left for school as if it were any other day. After school, I drove to the softball field because we had a game and it just so happened to be Senior Night: the last home game. When it came time for my first at bat, I stepped up to the plate and hit a line drive between the first and second basemen, successfully making it to first base. The next player up to bat hit a double; I rounded second and sprinted for third. I clearly remember my coach kneeling on the ground to signal me to slide into third base. For some unknown reason, I hesitated and slid too late. I knew it was a bad slide, but I was focusing on whether or not I was safe. Then reality set in, I was safe, but I was not physically capable of standing up.
Ask someone, and chances are, they’ll argue that health comes first. Doctors say it, parents repeat it, media promotes it, but in actuality, not many of those who suggest making health a priority can truly say that they’ve never jeopardized their health, whether that be through something as small as skimping on sleep or as big as stressing themselves out, for their job. While some might not consider it one, maintaining a certain BMI is another health benefit that goes neglected, especially in modeling, a career that carries the stigma of only consisting of starving girls who need to “eat a burger”. Luckily, I never had to worry about my weight mainly because I danced 22 hours a week, something I could maintain in middle school only because I was homeschooled. Once I started high school, however, I found it hard to stick to this rigorous schedule, so it wasn’t long
I feel like the music industry today is a far cry from the music industry of old. I feel like only within the last couple years, where being a songwriter has come back to being more popular, has the music industry, as a whole, taken a turn for the better. It has become more about the music for some artists and less about the money they could potentially earn. I feel like the genre of music that has the most amount of artist not making their own music is the pop genre. Sometimes, I hear songs sung by some of these boys and girls about love and relationships and I wonder if they’ve ever truly experienced what they’re singing about. Or, if the song was handed to them by one of the label executives and told “That will be a hit!” I feel like most
In 2005 I decided to call it quits. I retired from the military to only find myself back in the same shop I was leading rebuilding TF39 engines as a contractor. I did this for two years until I decided to pick up the family and move to Oklahoma City to work on the B-1 F101-GE engine at Tinker AFB. Soon after, the contract died and I had to find a new job. I got picked up as a civil service employee in the same shop. I then got promoted into the F117 Heavy Maintenance Center rebuilding engines for the C17. This was a new workload and we had to set up the shop. I’m not kidding about this, we had to order, build the tooling and set up the lean cells before we even started production.
Hello Andrew! Thank you for your service, Marine! What influenced you to choose Infantryman as your MOS? It’s great that you’re taking steps to improve your skills to be an asset in your business. What type of business do you have?
Growing up in a small town, like I did, you struggle to find what you want to do for the rest of your life, but as I got older I started to realize that this small town life was not for me. So I decided to go big, and introduce myself to the music industry, which in my opinion is the most difficult industry to make it big in. So, day in and day out, I taught myself how to use different music programs to further teach myself what I’m getting into. When I was more comfortable with what I was doing, I started looking at different colleges that could also help me to further my career of being a music producer. My love for music originated when I was younger, and would eventually lead me to where I am today, the energetic, fun loving, hardcore music lover that I am.
My lukewarm acting career in L.A. had turned cold. I was twenty-two and lost. Therefore, I got swayed to move to Berkeley with my boyfriend, Mark, after he received his acceptance letter from UC Berkeley.
In the past, I was informed by a college professor that in the state of Indiana only a select few colleges offer a music business major. While researching a position within the music industry, I’ve learned that this occupation is unique and takes a certain type of individual. After endless searching and finding things that interests me the most, I have chosen an occupation that I believe best suits me. Pursuing a career as a web content producer interest me because of multiple factors: a high salary that I could definitely live well on, the utilization of the skills required that I now possess, and music internships that could help me get ahead.
Growing up, I was just like the average child, one week I would say I wanted to be a doctor and the next I would say I wanted to be lawyer and then two days later, I would say I wanted to be an astronaut. All of this changed when I was in the sixth grade. I watched the movie "Harriet The Spy" for the first time and I was so intrigued. I remember saying,"This girl is pretending and she looks like she's having so much fun." From then on, I wanted to be an actress, but I didn't tell anyone. I thought people would make fun of me or say I wasn't good enough. This was a constant trepidation, so when people asked me what I wanted to be when I "grow up", I would say,"I don't know", and quickly change the subject. This went on for years, I would lie and say I didn't know what I wanted to be, when that was the farthest from the truth. I knew I wanted to be an actress. I stopped watching tv for entertainment and started watching so I could observe the actors. I would watch their movements and facial expressions, and I would even write down what they were saying and redo the scene how I thought it should be done.
I was about to fall asleep on my office’s desk drained from the procedure my colleagues and I did for the past 6 hours. My assistant walked into the office which reminded me that i am still working at the hospital. “I need my bed”, says the inner me overwork and irritated. I was thinking and then remembered the procedure. The intense and fast-paced environment still made my heart skip. The voices of my colleagues all talking at the same time, in addition to that, keeping up with the beeping of the ECG monitor made my palms sweat. The fear of losing your patient when you look into the eyes of the family and loved ones. Oh, the frustration! Then again the minute the beep goes back, comes the paralyzing feeling. It’s overwhelming, exciting and emotional all at the same time. I saved a person’s life. I saved a family from sorrow. Oh the fulfillment!
I was fired from one of my first jobs because I continuously forgot to put bananas on banana splits (9). I then became a model for Hattie Carnegia, under the name Diane Belmont (1). I also started appearing in very small film roles (1). The small films I appeared in included: Three Little Pigskins (1934), Room Service (1938), Roberta (1935), Top Hat (1935), Follow the Fleet (1936), Stage Door (1937), and Hey Diddle Diddle (1936) (1). My possible big break, Hey Diddle Diddle, ended very suddenly. Sadly, the star, Conway Tearle, because seriously ill one week before going to Broadway.
Acting isn’t for me, but theater is. I know that statement might seem a bit contradictory but hear me out.
I want to be a music producer because music is something I listen to daily when I can and it helps me relax and things when I’m angry or upset. Music is my dream and I want to make it a reality for me and music production and maybe a singer/songwriter is good for me also but I’m setting towards music production. A producer can be involved in the song-writing, audio engineering, recording, adding musical instruments and effects, hiring outside musicians if needed, help plan the overall promotion plan — including choosing album images and stage stunts. He can even advise the singers to get vocal coaching lessons

I have been trained to become a chemist since the first year of my high school. This is a challenging career, requiring analytical thinking, attention to details, and adaptability. It is also a well-paying and promising career. However, chemistry is not what I have always dreamt of doing the rest of my life. As someone who is concerned about the development of sub-Saharan Africa, I came to a conclusion that what this region needs is not only scientists but also people who know and understand leadership and international affairs. In this paper, I compare my strengths and abilities to the qualities that one should have in order to excel as a chemist and a diplomat.
