“Can you tell us your name?” A female voice said as it jolted me back to consciousness. As my eyes adjust to the bombard of light I wince in pain. I sat up and looked at my surroundings in shock. I am strapped to a stretcher as I being carried into an ambulance. In front of me is a destroyed building along with several other hurt civilians. “Can you tell us your name?” The voice repeats, a bit more urgent. I try to respond, but I fall unconscious before I can get any words out. The last things I see are two hazel eyes dilating in panic. After a manner of what felt like seconds, I woke up in a hospital bed. I looked to my right to see a pink rose with a note attached. It read “Get well soon! Love, Jack.” I immediately recognized it as my
The dark wolf looked up from his coffee, his mind snapping back into reality. The warmth of the paper cup felt soothing upon his paw like hands. His thoughts had drifted elsewhere from the conversation thinking about alternative realities in contrast to the one he lived in.
Letting Bass talk her into getting dressed, Charlie ventured hesitantly down the stairs to have dinner with her family.
The voice drifted into the man’s consciousness, forcing him to open his eyes. Blinking he forced himself to focus on his surroundings. Strapped to the passenger seat he dangled across the cab, hanging into the driver’s side, which had mostly been torn away by the wall the vehicle was against. No, not a wall, the ground. He shook his head. The vehicle was on its side, crumpled with windows smashed and scattered across the cab. Blood was dripping past his face too. He reached up to the pain throbbing through his head and touched something sticky. Pulling his hand away coated in red he realized where the blood was dripping from.
I see my life flash before my eyes as i plummet down to the boundless ocean, but as i just about hit i feel something sharp grabbing me. i start moving farther and farther away from my certain death.
You’re scared aren’t you? You poor little bunny. Running away with your tail between your legs and hopping down into your safe haven. Your hidey-hole. You’re home. Never once did you try to think about what would happen to yourself if you stepped up. If you looked him in the eye. If you stood there. You don’t because you’re scared. You’ve seen what he can do. What he can say. What he will do. He will whisper in you’re ear that he won’t hurt you. Oh, that sly trickster. He will whisper in you’re ear that he wants to be you’re friend. Oh, that evil fiend. He will whisper in you’re ear that you will be safe with him. Oh, that false prophet. He will whisper in you’re ear the lies he has told his prey. He will slowly creep into you’re heart. You’re
Sky and asked. “How do you mean he is peculiar?” Edmond smiled. “Andrew believes in Fay magic, crystals, ruins stuff like that. I am always seeing him doing some kind of chant or magic with crystals and poems. When I told him of our situation he said he can help you get through this.” Sky looked sorrowful at Edmond and whispered. “Let’s hope so.” He could feel her fear and he hated it.
As I sat aimlessly rubbing my hands together, the walls trembled; taking in air sharply when I hear the reverberation. The sweat on my forehead drips off like an IV bag at the hospital.
“Hello. It is very nice to meet you. I’ve heard a lot about you from your daddy,” Anne whispered. She felt like she was dealing with a frightened animal. One loud noise and she would scamper away.
Jon had looked at Spike rather strangely when the dragon introduced himself. With a polite chuckle, he said, "In a manner of speaking... I'm the author." Of many things, including the dragon standing before him. However, Spike was quite a bit taller than he had envisioned in his detailed writings of Ponyville. It was the first blight on his otherwise perfect rendering of the town.
Conrad heard the panic in Claire’s voice. “No, he’s not going alone. He’s just going over the details of a mission that we have lined up for after you get out of here.”
Duane shook his head in response to Karmen's comment, then lifted his gaze to the deserted highway, the blue sky's and blazing sun overhead, before it made it's way back to her face, having not quite caught what it was she'd mumbled to herself, but assumed it was about him. He winked, and playfully poked his tongue out; even at this moment with their troubles feeling somewhat like a schoolboy with his first crush. Karmen was one of a kind, and for the first time in a long time, even though they'd only been acquainted less than a day, one he felt that he wanted to spend just more than one night in the sack with. Getting into her panties could wait, if it meant the first occasion wouldn't also be the last; he remained unsure if Karmen's teasing and apparent interest was in him, or just due to the fact that here was a man, unlike those from Redell, who was well-dressed, somewhat handsome, and clean.
The morning light is bright enough to awaken me from my sleep. My head is spinning with lies to tell Sarah. The only thing that is keeping me from disappearing from without a trace is the danger I could be putting her in if the wrong people come looking for me, but at the same time maybe that is the reason I should be leaving town. My hunger interrupted my train of thought. Soon after, I am starting to smell a sweet aroma of breakfast food. I follow the savory smell of breakfast food into the kitchen. Sarah is yawning over the stove while trying prepare breakfast. She looked at me and smiled before putting a plate in front of me. I am starting to wonder why is being so nice and patient. I always thought there is something weird about her from
To be honest, I feel like I’m being surveyed by this clerk; he’s just sitting watching my every move as I maneuver around the store. I mean, I know I’m probably offending some people at this store by my attire-- blue and white strapless bikini outfit and shoeless-- because the customers, but mostly the clerk, are not inspecting me. But oh well… I mean me and my girlfriends just came from the beach and we forgot our other changing outfits at home so I hope they’ll let it slide for them and me. As I was walking the aisle the, looking for something to snack and drink on, my other two companions was just sort of just joking and playing around in the store messing and harassing people under their whispers of insult. Then my tall, skinny friend,
I had been sitting perfectly still for what felt like hours, too scared to move or call out for fear of what may answer my call. My heart was pounding so hard in my chest that I was worried it was echoing through the room. I knew that there was someone in the cell next to me but she hadn’t woken up yet and I was beginning to worry that she might be dead.
After Delia’s dad had dropped me off I had a lot of things to think about. I went to my room and layed down feeling exhausted. I didn’t want to hurt Delia after all we’ve done together, or was it all fake? No, it couldn’t have been. If she was trying to make her parents mad she would’ve dumped me by now. Right? I shook those thoughts out of my head and decided I was going to sleep and figure out what to do.
