Hi Professor Prescott, I visited Nora Sterry Elementary School on Friday and had such an awesome day with Miss Reese and her first grade class! I could tell you all about it in an email, but I would rather tell you in person tomorrow! Visiting the site helped inspire me about some topics I could research, but I am still figuring out what I should do. Andrea Guzman
Ever since I was young, I had always dreamed of playing college volleyball. After playing volleyball for 10 years college letters were finally beginning to flood my mailbox everyday and college coaches were sending emails to me left and right. This all began in January of last year. At my first tournament of the year in Columbus, college coaches were swarming the courts. They were like worker bees after the first bloom of spring. I remember crossing paths with one coach, in particular. That coach was Pete Hoyer of North Carolina State University (NCSU). I vividly remember greeting Pete with a smile and a simple hello. Pete Hoyer did not return the greeting.
My name is Brayden Edwards and I was a freshman last year on the varcity lacrosse team. My brother was Drew Edwards who was one of the captins on the team. I was just wondering if l missed anything on getting a ring. This is because in the past my brother would get sized and get his name on the side and was wondering if i missed something or this just hasnt been issued yet. Last year I was the 6th leading points holder on the team behind 5 senors.
It was a complete transition from inner city schools to the rural countryside, this school was a turning point on respective of my previous school's education, the school curriculum was alien to me as was agriculture, school sports, cross-country running, the teacher that taught Agriculture, also taught Physical Training. It's hard to explain, coming from the inner city, and all of a sudden you’re plowing your first furrow with a cultivator, this was a totally new concept for me, the school had a snack bar that opened twice a day, and all in all, school was not too bad after all.
I moved to Crawford my 7th grade year. I attended Crawford Middle School that year. That year went by exceptionally well, but the next year the school closed for 7th and 8th graders, so I had to join Hotchkiss Middle School. I found the Hotchkiss kids very welcoming, and friendly. I instantly became friends with almost all of them. There was just something so welcoming about that school from the friendly teachers who all cared very deeply about each individual student. The happy and friendly attitude wasn’t just at the school, it seemed everyone everywhere was just so happy to be in a beautiful place. Hotchkiss has always been a home for me from that day on because of the welcoming attitudes.
Wellesley College is an extraordinary college that provides all I could ever seek in a college. It has various majors to choose from, extraordinary interactions with professors and students, and an inspirational atmosphere full of great women from various backgrounds. I never knew that such college would have all the preferences I wanted. The more I learned about Wellesley the more I realized that this is a true college in which I could work in and get to where I want to be. As the first in my family to go to college it is vital for me to remain true to myself and empower myself as a hispanic woman. Education is essential to everyone, but to me I believe is a way in which I could represent my capacity. Though there is
Thank you for your letter. I could definitely write more, I just felt like I was out of time. I wanted to send you a message before you went to bed for the night. We had the same cold front come through. I am so ready for it to feel like spring again and stay warm this time. At least, it is officially spring now. Spring and summer are my favorite seasons.
Professor Gayle, there are many key information that will be implemented in a resume. It is important to provide your reviewer with information that will allow an employer to be interested in your resume. For example provide a professional summary of your skills, provide summary of your professional experience, so that an employee can be aware of your abilities, list your formal and technical education and list all of your licenses and certifications. Each section you will want to provide a summary and bullet point detail information.
I find myself in a perpetual whirlwind of phases so the only concrete things I have to bandage together some sort of identity are the things my therapist has noticed about my speech patterns and thought process. I love to (over) analyze, (over) think, and (under) achieve. It’s possible the reason I have phases with music, film, and taste in clothing or art has come with the realization that there’s so much stuff, and I don’t want to miss out on anything. I grew up reading fantasy and watching films like Labyrinth, which I credit to the beginning of my interest in literature and film. Last year I had a mild obsession with haikus, especially that of Kobayashi Issa, and watched cheesy 90s sci-fi. As of late I’ve been on a biography and documentary

During Spring 2015 term, I withdrew from Middlebury College due to severe thyroid infection. I had contracted the illness during Fall 2014 academic term, but my doctors, both personal and emergency, failed to understand its severe nature. So, I was cleared to go back to school for the spring term. Unfortunately for me, however, I was readmitted to Porter Hospital in Middlebury within weeks. My illness prevented me from attending classes, fulfilling my duties as a student assistant, and made me severely weak. Hence, upon pressure from the doctors and my family, I withdrew from the college and treated my illness during the spring
Howdy, Y’all! Is a phrase that many of my family members up north believe that this is the phrase that Nashvillian’s use to greet each other. Though I have heard the phrase before around town I have heard the word “hello” used more than any other word in a day. According to the Hunting Post in 2016 Nashville was ranked the most “Friendliest City in America” which I agree. I often find myself saying hello from the time I walk into my company, at the grocery store, in the gym after work to my neighbor sitting on her front porch when I finally make it home for the day. Therefore, it would be hard to break this cycle when I open my business in London for they are not too fond of speaking to one another especially on the Tube which is similar to
Scholarly personal narrative (SPN) was developed by Robert Nash who integrated the personal story into resect. SPN study tells a story that can clarify an issue beyond a specific case studied (p. 127, Brookfield). SPN is a research method that brings the researcher’s personal experience as a legitimate study form (p. 1, Heidelberger & Uecker).
The best teacher I’ve ever had was my Honors English teacher, who was the strictest and harshest grader I’ve ever come across. With her as my teacher, I spent the majority of my sophomore year stressed out. What I didn’t realize, however, was that the only reason I was struggling, was because I refused to acknowledge that what she was doing was teaching. The teachers I had previously, never challenged me in the way that she did and, because of that, I could do the bare minimum and still pass. After I finished her class, I realized that she didn’t just set me up to pass her class, but set me up to excel in the future. She changed the way I looked at education, and made me acknowledge that having trouble in a class didn’t mean that I was incapable;
Growing up in Southeastern Kentucky, a kid doesn’t have many expectations from their parents, school teachers, or themselves. When a student walks by two teachers talking they say, “This group of 5th graders are the worst, every one of them are as dumb as a box of rocks.” This is the sad reality of what happened in my elementary school at Marie Roberts-Caney. Our school slogan is, “No student left behind.” Ever since 3rd grade I knew it was a bunch or bologna. Don’t get me wrong, I had great parents who cared about me, but they didn’t expect much from me. Neither of my parents attended college and I was afraid of it. Even as a young student, I knew I wasn’t the brightest kid in the classroom. Now that I look back, I realize how hard I worked
The school I went to visit was Public School 69. It was my little brothers elementary school. The reason I chose the school, was because I remember seeing him happy every time he came home from kindergarten. Every day he would come home and have a different project he did in class to show off. The outside of the school looked like a regular public school, but inside Miss Suzy’s* (not her real name) classroom was bright, warm, and inviting. My visitation was in the morning, right when the children began school at 8:00am. When I walked inside, the class room was baby blue with all kinds of art projects on the walls. Miss Suzy welcomed me very kindly, and discussed with me, her srtudents and what they have been learning. You can not help but
