Personal Narrative: Investigating The Car

I can remember how excited I was when I bought my very own first car. I spent hours and hours fixing up my car exactly how I wanted it. I waited a very long time to buy my own car. I worked for hours and hours, saving money to buy a good running car. I did not want to buy a cheap car. I wanted to buy one I know would last and didn’t have anything more than minor mechanical problems, if any. I knew if I bought one of the streets it was bound to come with something needing to be repaired or replaced. Having proper maintenance done to the car was also my way of guaranteeing my car would at least run okay for a little while. My first car was a 2002 Hyundai Sonata featured with 19’ black rims, with clean interior and dark tinted windows. During our first run Taylor and I noticed that the car was turning way to the left. So in order to fix this we started our car as far to the right of the track as possible. After our first trials we realized that we needed to fix our string. We needed to cut the string we had attached off of our car and make a new one. When we made a new one me made it a little bit longer than the car and only hot glued it to the hook, not to the frame. Our new string had a loop in the end of it so we could put that on the toothpick. So now we understood that the toothpick did have a real purpose and we couldn’t glue the string to the mousetrap. After we made these changes we ran our car three more times.

Say I was old enough, I want my mom and step dad to buy me a brand new car. In fact, One of the main obvious reasons my mom should get me a new car is… It’ll save money in the long run to not have to fix it all the time, when it breaks down. It will probably also last longer, unless I total it but I’ll be a safe driver. I promise. For example, If I have a brand new car I will fit in with all of the other kids. I can drive all my friends around in my super cool car. Y’all would be the absolute best. It would be super great to drive around in. Another example, You know how you’re always complaining about drive me around? Well complain no more, I could drive myself. I would be able to get places without your help. I wouldn’t need you too. One of the most important events that happened in my life was just recently, and that was buying my second car. This thought process was in the making for quite a while, considering that I was getting tired of taking my silver Hyundai Elantra in the garage every four months for repairs. For that reason, it made sense that it was time for a new car or a used one, I did not care which all I cared about was that it had to be a manual transmission. In addition, the fact that I outright hate going car shopping, I put it off and off until this past January. Since my mom had surgery that month, she was home and could go car shopping for me, well searching on the computer shopping. Since she was doing that, I did not have to worry about it and she knew what I wanted for a car.

In conclusion, my 1st car was a bust traveling 9.8 cm/s, my 2nd car did pretty well traveling 35.86 cm/s, but wasn’t built very well and lastly my 3rd car was the most successful, traveling 50.16 cm/s. Over the time that I worked on this project my skills really did advance. In the beginning, I was clueless and now, with the materials, I could make another car in a day. I learned a lot from trial and error.

The car is a servant to the man is vivid to me because you can take a car to get places. The man drives the car like a jet is also vivid to me. I can see a man driving his car like a jet. The car is a restaurant another unusual one to me because I can’t picture it in my mind. The car is a word of the device would be another unusual one to me because I am not sure what it means. When I turned sixteen, my parents and I went looking for a car for me. We looked all over the town of Austin, MN. Until, we pulled up to Southwest Sales. While we were driving around the Southwest Sales lot, I found that car I wanted. This car was a maroon 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse. When I saw the car I told my mom “That is the one I want.”

In my heart, I knew it couldn’t be true, but they all said she was dead. I was at her funeral and everyone told me to move on, but I couldn’t. It didn’t feel right.

It was a normal friday morning here in Dallas, I walk out to my condo balcony to breathe in the the fresh hot air, with a hint of cut lawn clippings. It is a perfect day for a parade through downtown Dallas with Mr. Kennedy. I walked over a few rooms to do my routinely check on Mr. President, and as usual his confident self just shooed me away and told me to do my own thing. I begin to start my breakfast that I usually cook for him and his family when we are on campaign. In life we go through many changes and for that instance it is the same situation with my car. During the 1 year that I had my car many things stayed the same, however some changes have been made. Some of the changes were major and some were minor. I take a really good care of my car and throughout my experience with my car I think it looks really good. I have spent a lot of money on it but it was worth it. This is my project car so there is a lot of progress already done to the way I want it to look and perform, but still far away from being fully done.

I started up my car, just like any other normal day. Just a normal day I told myself, a normal day. I forgot the gift I bought for Lindsey, which I had been meaning to give her, but she hadn’t been to work for a couple days. I quickly hopped out and grabbed it. It was a T-Shirt of her favorite band, Green Day. As the traffic sauntered along at the normal traffic jam pace, acting like they had nowhere to be, my hands grew sweaty and my stomach twisted into knots. My hand slipped as I was turning and I almost lost control of the car. Just a normal day. I tried looking in the glove compartment for a couple smokes before work, but found my gun. The power such a small thing contained. The ability to take someone’s life, silence them forever. It felt too powerful. That’s why I have to carry one. We all carry one, but so do they.

Today we just pulled into the race track in florida or Palm Beach International Raceway. The forecast does not look very good for racing this week because it has already rained all over the track. So we waited like 4 hours for them to get the track dry for us to be able to race safety.

As I was on my way to work today, the car in front of me, suddenly made a stop for no reason. I was on the left lane, and there was truck on the right lane so I couldn’t switch lanes. Instead, I made a sharp turn on to the opposite lane, there wasn’t any cars. That was the dumbest thing that I had ever done, as driving on the opposite lane a car was driving real fast my direction. I stepped on the gas pedal so I could speed up and get back on my regular lane, but the driver that had suddenly stopped decided to step on the gas too. So, as I’m speeding up trying to switch lanes this guy isn’t letting me and the guy that’s heading my way is real close to colliding with me. At this point I’m scared, now I have two choices either I risk it speed

The car ride over was one of the longest I have ever been in, answering questions and looking out of the window of the beat up red Honda truck. "How long has this been going on?" he asked "Since my mother died when I was five" I replied my voice thick with anxiety.We pulled into the drive way and he walked me to the door, sticking as lose to me as he could get. As we walked through the door and into the cramped living room I froze.
