To know how lead, first you got to learn how to follow. Knowing that quote help me understand my mentor Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith was my coach at first when I started Middle School at Paul Public Charter School. Mr. Smith had taught me to not put sports over education and to respect others. I learned to put education first by getting a lecture by my mentor Mr. Smith. It started when he noticed that my grades was slipping. I had started out with a 3.0 gpa in the first semester of the tenth grade. Once I started to play football my grades was slipping, the reason why my grades was slipping is because I had put sports over school.
