I just wanted to take a little time to thank you for talking to me and Tej or an extensive period of time yesterday. It was very nice to have a genuine conversation that went beyond the realm of accounting, and I appreciate you not only telling me about your life and your experiences but also asking about my life as well. I specifically enjoyed hearing about your experiences in college as well as your recent adventures on the Zipline in Vegas. Culture is very important to me as I go through the recruiting process and meeting you as well as many other PwC professionals definitely enhanced my already high interest in the firm.
My trip to the Grand Canyon was the best experience I ever had so far in my life. My grandparents from Korea came along with us. Even though I saw them last year it was still an enjoyable moment that I had. Grand Canyon is located in Arizona so what our family did was fly to Las Vegas early in the morning and arrive in Nevada around 9 o’clock am. Driving to Grand Canyon was also five hours with heavy traffic. Driving and stopping every hour was hard to do but at the end it was all worth it. It was good that I had couple electronic devices and my family to keep me in company.
I got to go to Six Flags in the summer with my parents. I loved all of the rides in Six Flags except for roller coasters. Why don’t I like roller coasters? Well, the main reasons why I don’t like roller coasters was that I am scared of heights. I remember seeing the roller coasters and they towered up so high. My family and I went to Six Flags together because we thought that it would be fun to spend time with each other.
On October 28th, 2017 my mother said “here” and gave me $30. “What’s this for?” I asked. “$10 is for lunch and the other $20 is for you to go to Six Flags with your friends (Keion Flenoid, Kamaurion Stokes, and Kelly Dang.) after your chess tournament.” The next morning, my mother took me to my chess tournament where me and my team (Gateway Middle Chess club) placed fourth in the tournament.
One summer, my friends thought it would be a great idea to go to Six Flags. Me, I thought it was a dreadful idea. I don’t like rollercoasters at all, so I found no point in wanting to go. But, they insisted I go with the group for fun. So, here I was, scared of rollercoasters and on my way to Six Flags. Go figure.
So one of the best thing I have ever gotten to do is go to Six Flags. The one I got to go to is in Van Texas. It is a crazy amusement park that has the third fastest roller coaster in the country.I got to go with some people too. Me Anne Mae, Jack, Jonathan, Mason, Alison, Olle, Davis, and my mom. It is a very cool amusement park. My favorite part was the Mr. Freeze ride. Jonathan said, “Mr. Freeze was his favorite too”.
This past fall break, I got a chance to take a trip to Arizona to visit Grand Canyon University with a friend, Anthony Ward. I thought it would be an awesome opportunity to open up my options for colleges. What I loved most about the program, Discover GCU, is that they covered all the expenses to Arizona and all I payed for was a plane ticket to Oahu. I was so stoked to go but also nervous because I was the only girl from my school and didn't know anyone. Eventually I made friends with a couple girls from Oahu and we became room mates. I have never been to Arizona, I honestly don't fly up to the mainland very often, I have always been here on the Big Island or on the other islands.
As I woke up at 7am on what was supposed one of the best days of my life, I had not idea that as the day went on it would actually turn into a disaster.
Every year during New Years Eve my family and I go to Lake Tahoe to see the snow and watch the annual fireworks at the Heavenly Village along with the concerts that they host. We also like to go ice skating and sledding because we always go there from December 30 to January 2. When we go sledding we usually go to the beach that is about five minutes away since that is where we have always gone and it’s always covered in a blanket of snow along with ice on top of the water. One day on our way to Lake Tahoe we noticed a snowmobile shop where you could rent one and ride them as long as you wanted. The next day we got our sleds and snow gear and went to the place only to find out that there was an hour to two hour wait. No one in my family wanted to wait, but we also didn’t want to drive back half and hour to go sledding at the beach since it was so far. My uncle asked the worker if there another place to go sledding and he recommended a place that was about
I froze in fear and started sprinting towards the house like a rabbit running from a coyote, I was not prepared for this to happen! It started off a nice day in Lake Tahoe, where my family was on vacation with my brother's baseball team. Besides the insects and spiders that crawled around all over the place, there was nothing really bad about it. What I didn't know, was that those little bugs and spiders were the least of my worries.
I’m from Tucson, Arizona; I’ve lived here my whole life. I travel to California every other year due to having family there. I have two young siblings, one is named Cole, he is one-year-old and the other is Koen, a 5-year-old. I dislike getting called on to speak in front of the class I get anxiety and feel like throwing up… My mom is a fourth grade teacher, I live with her, her boyfriend, who is a sheriff, and my two brothers. For hobbies, I listen to music, do puzzles, read, eat, play with my dogs and draw. As a student, my weaknesses are; test anxiety, time-restrictions, I procrastinate and I get distracted easily. However, last year a 504-plan was installed, so that’s taken care of. I’m inspired by Malala Yousafzai to continue school and
I would like to sincerely thank you for the time that you spent with me last Thursday, briefing me on your company’s background and operations, and interviewing me for the position of entry level accountant.
“Are we there yet are we there yet?” My brother screamed into my ear. I turned around half awake and quickly said “no”. For some reason I was completely freezing and I looked out my window and saw snow. Finally the little cogs in my brain started turning and I realized that I was in Lake Tahoe. My family takes a trip to Lake Tahoe every winter and we were almost there. My brother turning five this year it would probably be the first trip he remembers. What seemed like an eternity later we finally arrived at our hotel. Just like every 10 year old I was pretending to be asleep when we arrived so my dad would carry me into our room. Unfortunately it was about -100000 degrees and I was only wearing a pair of pants and short sleeves. My dad was carrying me for so long I actually fell asleep and then awoke the next day.
Dalton and I were planning our fall break. We decided that we wanted to go somewhere fun for vacation. We talked to our families and we all went to Las Vegas. I’ve been there before with my brother and we were in a weightlifting competition. This time it was just for fun.
I can’t believe that it is finally July 27, 2018! My mom and I are going to Las Vegas to see the Backstreet Boys in concert. My mom and I can’t wait to get to the Airport. It would be our first time going to Las Vegas. Our plane was to leave from Gerald R. Ford International Airport at 9:00 AM.
I don't know how I am going to get home. Worse yet, I am alone in the Las Vegas, soaking wet and have no shoes. I know what you're thinking, why does she not have any shoes well let me start from the beginning . I live in the city of sin, Las Vegas and tonight was the night my girlfriends and I were supposed to have the time of our life ,but everything was ruined. The plan was to meet at 7 and then hit the town while the night was still young. As my best friend Elizabeth and I were getting ready I realized my brand new shoes were still in my truck and they were the ones that matched perfectly with my outfit ,so I went outside and grabbed my shoes. We were finally ready to start our night and headed out the door. After what felt like eight hours
