Although there was no institutional action given, this paragraph is to follow up with the conversation I had among Dr. Emil Chuck and Mr. Steven Scherger about the first academic violation I had at Case Western Reserve University. At the end of my spring semester of sophomore year, I had to sign a form of misconduct because I did not know clearly about the rules in using my own work more than once. Because it was my first offense in my academic career and I have been a good student throughout the semester and the professor knew it was not an intentional offence through meetings we had weekly to develop the paper, no action was taken but fail in my final paper of the course. This experience was a turning point in my academic career because
There are several things I hope to gain from my experience as a student at California Baptist University. Such things include, a community of God loving, supporting and encoring friends, a Christian based education and opportunities to grow into the person God created me to be.

The quick responded from the college was not something that he expected. He believes that each faculty should bring with the rules and policies in their field.
During the month of January 2013, Carlton Berry was accused of opening fire at Lone Star College. He was accused of shooting two people before wounding himself in the leg. Even though it came to be known in the course of the investigation that it was really not Carlton Berry who was involved, but Trey Foster, the question arises as to whether guns should be allowed in colleges. This lone incidence that happened at Lone Star Community College reflects the April 16th, the year 2007 where there was a shooting on the campus of Virginia Polytechnic Institute along with State University. In this incidence, a student by the name Seung-hui opened fire on unsuspecting scholars killing approximately 32 people and wounding many others before he
they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please
I looked like a deer in the headlights during my 8 grade graduation, especially after they told me that I was no longer in the national honor society that same day. The worst thing was the reason why I was kicked out. I had finished all the requirements; completed more community service hour than I should have, but dropped one of my class grades down by one point .I was blindsided by the thought of hearing it .Nothing made since as, I was in national honor society for a long time and for it to be taken away was something I couldn’t wrap my head around. And there I was walking up the stair to the stage thinking about what I did wrong .Where was that one point in, between which test or essay was it in .As thoughts of failure were rushing through
According to The United States Department of Justice, Sexual assault is any type of sexual contact or behavior that occurs without the explicit consent of the recipient. Falling under the definition of sexual assault are sexual activities such as forced sexual intercourse, forcible sodomy, child molestation, incest, fondling, and attempted rape. (Department of Justice) 90 percent of the victims of sexual assault are women and 10 percent are men, and nearly 99 percent of offenders in single-victim assaults are men (Bureau of Justice Statistics 2010). Sexual Assault can happen to anyone, not just women. Sexual Assault these days are a big trouble and it is not being addressed in good order, and it is especially a big problem at the University of Kentucky campus. Although, many people think sexual assault on campus is not a huge issue, it really is and it is not properly spoken of. Even though people have different opinions on sexual assault, sexual assault is a big issue on campus and alcohol is largely to blame.
“Among undergraduate students, 23.1% of females and 5.4% of males experience rape or sexual assault” (RAINN). Rape is a threat virtually anywhere people go, but no place has a higher risk for sexual assault than college campuses. However, many of these occurrences go without penalties against the attacker, and even more are not reported at all. The lack of consequences for the accused indirectly suggests that rape and other forms of sexual assault are allowable and create further problems for the victims of the horrendous actions. Harsher punishments need to be given out for sexual assault on campus, as the current rulings are biased and immoral.
At the student conduct office, I came to know where I have done a mistake and I felt that I am responsible for violation of section B.01.d Academic Misconduct: Plagiarism in the second hearing along with the professor. At this point I came to know how important to be responsible to keep up academic integrity while doing the assignments and home works given by the professors.
Did you know that a woman in college have the same chances of getting sexually assaulted as getting the flu? Did you know that one out of every six women has been assaulted or is the victim of an attempted assault? Sexual assault is a very real problem in todays society. I chose this subject because I have been personally affected by it.
A lawsuit was filed this year in January against Northern Kentucky University in which a female student is suing the university for mishandling her sexual assault that occurred on campus in 2013. The female, who identifies as Jane Doe in the lawsuit in order to hide her identity, claims that NKU did not do enough to make her feel safe on campus because she feels the university neglected her and did not do anything to stop her attacker from having everyday contact with her. The university feels as if they did as much as they possibly could to help the female student and that they are not at fault for what has happened (Pilcher par. 4-7). Although there has not been a ruling on the case yet, NKU is at fault for the events that have transpired and should be ashamed of what they have allowed to occur.
Recently while reading Rolling Stone and looking for an article for this paper, and came across an article called “A Rape on Campus: A Brutal Assault and Struggle for Justice at UVA.” In summary, a freshman at the University of Virginia was at a frat party and her date was a member of that certain frat. She chose against drinking which is uncommon in most rape cases that occur on campuses. He later asks her to join him upstairs, and being an innocent naïve girl she decided to follow him. As soon as she entered the dark room and he did not turn on the lights she knew that something was wrong. Soon after she heard many different voices in the room and after seven different frat boys did horrid things to her she understood that this was something that some of these boys were doing this as an initiation into that frat. Of course, her friends who were so-called ‘loyal’ to their college urged her to keep quiet for fear that “she may never be allowed in a frat again” or “put a bad light on the university.” Furthermore, the UVA is under a federal investigation to try to determine if there have been other cases of rape that may have been ‘swept under the rug.’ In this essay I want to investigate the psychology of rape and the rapist, why it happens largely in college campuses and specifically fraternities, and also to understand the “rape culture.”
A college student submits a plagiarized essay. The professor contacts the student to inform them that the plagiarism has been identified, and that the offense will be reported to the college. The student explains that they have been working 2 jobs because their spouse is unemployed, and that because there is a previous offense this may result in the student being placed on academic probation. The student asks for the professor to not follow the course policy of reporting offenses of plagiarism.
I was in trouble. I had broken the urinal. First I got suspended by the principle for 2 days. Sure not going to school is fun but I had to work outside all day as punishment. I was also sure that it would go on my record so I was sad about that. Secondly i got a ticket . If you did not know tickets are very expensive. I was going to have to work off that bill. Finally I had to go to court. It was 240$ which is a lot but what could i do. That is how I got in trouble in 8th grade.
