Heroes are defined differently depending on who you are asking. Heroes are based on backgrounds, families, perspectives, and so much more. Based on what I have witnessed and been through, I believe a hero is someone who positively makes a difference in the lives of others through their actions and experiences. Heroes are supposed to make us feel safer and are supposed to make us feel better about ourselves. A hero is supposed to overcome difficult situations and help everyone believe that anything is possible. Bo Meagher is my hero of Scott County. Bo is someone who has overcome obstacles and cancer, when he couldn’t do much about his condition. When Bo was first diagnosed when he was born, he had no control over what was happening, …show more content…
He makes a lot of people realize that they have it better than some. Some people fight battles everyday that we don’t know about and we take our blessings for granted. I think Bo positively changed my life for sure. Yes, I may have some rough patches in my life, but that definitely should not take away from all of the good things. I have a family that supports me in everything I do. I have two parents that have been married for fourteen years, who give me everything in this world that I ask for. I have to outstanding siblings who have joined me on this ride of life for a good time, and in my life I have people who love me and that would do anything for me if I needed it. I am a victim of taking things for granted, but Bo has made me realize that we should count each blessing every single day because one day it may not be there. Bo helped me understand that when something tragic happens, people do reach out to help. He helped me realize that the comfort of out family, friends, and community help us get through tough times. Bo made me feel safer in my position because I know that if something were to happen I would have an abundance of people that would be willing to help. He also helped me feel better about myself as an individual because I now realize that it should never be just about you. You should always think about others as well as yourself in a respectful manner, and thanks to Bo I can now fulfill
Being an active member of Beulah Baptist Church has impacted my life in so many ways; spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. It has helped me grown stronger in loving, worshipping, knowing of God through my praise, dance, and mime. As, a member I have the ability to learn about God and how he can impact not just my life, but other people around me and witness how God can influence their lives. Especially, those who are outside of my family. Attending Beulah has placed myself with people whom have a God-First mind frame. Even, meeting new people has taught me to welcome others with big arms and a huge smile. At Beulah Baptist, it gives me a stable, supportive, and friendly environment filled with loving and caring people.
My life and beliefs would not be the same without his help changing
He helped me believe that I was doing the right thing by making sure everyone was safe. While standing at the corner of a street that was interfered with the race, many cars tried to come through to the race. I helped the adults in cars turn around to go in the right direction to avoid hitting the runners or walkers. I also helped set up the food for everyone who may have been hungry. This helped in the long run because no one got injured throughout the race, and God helped me. Although I felt God only in my heart, I knew that he was helping me become a better person in the long
My trip to a third world country opened my eyes to see that everyone is not as blessed as we are here in America. Nicaragua is a very poor country. People in Nicaragua are robbed of the luxuries we Americans have. Such as, simply, having three meals a day. Most people have to travel far just to find food to bring home to their families. I felt like God had called me to go to these people not so I can bless them, yet so they can bless me and my eyes would be opened.
Throughout my life, I have impacted the lives of few people. Growing up around non-Christian relatives it was hard to express my faith around people who never heard about God. Although it was a challenge for me, I was able to reach out to one my closest cousins.
Now my mom realizes that God does not give her anything she cannot handle and it has made her stronger because of it. My family has put their trust in God and His plan for each of us and now instead of complaining to
I remember looking for decorations for my room and I saw a canvas with the quote “When you see only one set of footprints in the sand, it was then that he carried you.” I immediately fell in love with it, it has impacted my life tremendously. God carried me through a situation most people would think of as not a big deal, the situation was having to give my dog away. It was really hard and God helped me get through it.
The book Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus: How the Jewishness of Jesus Can Transform Your Faith inspired me to become a better Christian and to live faithfully in God. My favorite chapter was chapter seven, For Everything a Blessing. This chapter was about the followers of Judaism who go about their life and have a blessing for everything. This inspired me to be thankful for even the minute events that occur in my life. For example, waking up in the morning is seen to be an ordinary action. However, it is an amazing event that your body is still living. There are thirty-seven trillion cells in an adult’s body, and each cell is working to make the body live as a whole. The fact that each cell can work together to perform daily activities
Whether it’s to the community, the world or to another person there is only so much that one person can do to make a difference. In the book “The Five People You Meet In Heaven” by Mitch Albom there are many people who made a difference in other people’s lives.
I was able to learn how to control my mind and also understand how my beliefs influenced my life. Finally today it is vital for me to question my beliefs right from my childhood.

helped me come to terms with something that I had struggled with for 10 years. I was able to express feelings that I had bottled up inside, and discover new things about myself. I was able to develop a healthy coping mechanism and inspire others around me as well as help myself.
Meeting God impacted me so much that it changed my way of thinking. Since that day, all the problems that I encounter in my life have solutions, I am not feeling depressed anymore, and my mind is always thinking positively. Through the process, I understood other people’s behavior, their angriness, their fears, and the way they think situations were only negatives on their lives. I also learned how God teaches you the right way to express yourself and your thoughts to others. Even for your beliefs you were being criticized and rejected from

Church and the opportunity they give us to participate in their activities to help others in need have changed my life. I was in a church class for two years and when I was down, my class and I helped others by donating money, handing out food and toys and that helped me. That’s how I knew helping others in a way would be my thing. And the way I felt is the way I want to feel forever.
