To be a hero can can be defined in many ways. Heros are usually associated with courage, fearlessness, noble qualities, outstanding achievements, and a kind heart. These traits are what make up an ideal contributor to society helping those in need. The word hero can have a different meaning for cultures and religions. Osama Bin Laden may be considered a hero to the radical islams but he is a horrible human being to the rest of the world. It all depends on the views of the people.

helped me come to terms with something that I had struggled with for 10 years. I was able to express feelings that I had bottled up inside, and discover new things about myself. I was able to develop a healthy coping mechanism and inspire others around me as well as help myself.

Being an active member of Beulah Baptist Church has impacted my life in so many ways; spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. It has helped me grown stronger in loving, worshipping, knowing of God through my praise, dance, and mime. As, a member I have the ability to learn about God and how he can impact not just my life, but other people around me and witness how God can influence their lives. Especially, those who are outside of my family. Attending Beulah has placed myself with people whom have a God-First mind frame. Even, meeting new people has taught me to welcome others with big arms and a huge smile. At Beulah Baptist, it gives me a stable, supportive, and friendly environment filled with loving and caring people.

My trip to a third world country opened my eyes to see that everyone is not as blessed as we are here in America. Nicaragua is a very poor country. People in Nicaragua are robbed of the luxuries we Americans have. Such as, simply, having three meals a day. Most people have to travel far just to find food to bring home to their families. I felt like God had called me to go to these people not so I can bless them, yet so they can bless me and my eyes would be opened.

He helped me believe that I was doing the right thing by making sure everyone was safe. While standing at the corner of a street that was interfered with the race, many cars tried to come through to the race. I helped the adults in cars turn around to go in the right direction to avoid hitting the runners or walkers. I also helped set up the food for everyone who may have been hungry. This helped in the long run because no one got injured throughout the race, and God helped me. Although I felt God only in my heart, I knew that he was helping me become a better person in the long

I remember looking for decorations for my room and I saw a canvas with the quote “When you see only one set of footprints in the sand, it was then that he carried you.” I immediately fell in love with it, it has impacted my life tremendously. God carried me through a situation most people would think of as not a big deal, the situation was having to give my dog away. It was really hard and God helped me get through it.

What exactly is a hero? To some it’s a fictional character with a cape who possesses a special power that helps them do great things for others; and to others it a completely different story. To me, a hero is someone who has made a good difference on not just my life, but others as well and has inspired us to never give up, to better ourselves, and to try and live life to the fullest. For example, Josh Hamilton, he has made a big difference and has had a good impact on my life in probably every aspect you can think of and not only that, but he has shown me that you can always get back up and fight, you can always overcome your life’s obstacles, also he has shown me that you should always have your faith in the Lord.

Throughout my life, I have impacted the lives of few people. Growing up around non-Christian relatives it was hard to express my faith around people who never heard about God. Although it was a challenge for me, I was able to reach out to one my closest cousins.

I was able to learn how to control my mind and also understand how my beliefs influenced my life. Finally today it is vital for me to question my beliefs right from my childhood.

Meeting God impacted me so much that it changed my way of thinking. Since that day, all the problems that I encounter in my life have solutions, I am not feeling depressed anymore, and my mind is always thinking positively. Through the process, I understood other people’s behavior, their angriness, their fears, and the way they think situations were only negatives on their lives. Church and the opportunity they give us to participate in their activities to help others in need have changed my life. I was in a church class for two years and when I was down, my class and I helped others by donating money, handing out food and toys and that helped me. That’s how I knew helping others in a way would be my thing. And the way I felt is the way I want to feel forever.
