I was not really into reading at the time, but I remember that my teacher made us read for at least fifteen minutes at the beginning of every class. If we did not have a book there were many books from her library to choose from. I believe this was one of the first books that I read in her class, and think I chose this book in particular because it stood out. I mean the title itself already piqued my interest. I honestly did not think that I was going to enjoy it as much as I did, It was such a bizarre read with all the strange events and abnormal characters. And in a weird way, the strangeness of the story was what I really liked. I do not think I would have liked it as much if it was not for that. It was one of the first chapter books that I did not have to force myself to finish. This was also one of the first books I read that really got me into loving to read. I just loved getting lost in another world and I wanted to keep reading books that did that for me.
There were a few points in this book that taught me about life and how crazy it can be sometimes. The photographer named Fulgencio was very afraid of hitch hiking to Mexico City with a stranger, especially with all of us expensive equipment. On the ride, Fulgencio is so paranoid that the guy is going to kill him, he grabs a machete out of the back of the truck. In doing so he gets kicked out of the car and loses all of his photography equipment anyways. This taught me that we need to trust each other more, Just because there are a few crazy people in the world, we shouldn't let them give us all a bad name. I mean, the guy picked Fulgencio up when he was in desperate need of a car, and gives him a ride. He should have been thankful, not picked up a machete and threaten the guy. Another thing this book taught me was that just because your sister doesn't want your kid anymore because she
When I found out that I had to read and write a paper prior to our first summer class, I was not too thrilled. However, once I began to sit down and immerse myself in this book, I did not find myself putting it down anytime soon. To be honest, I have not read anything like this book before. The work definitely struck me, raised questions, and made me think a lot outside of this book.
Personally, the book taught me a lot about how people deal with situations when under pressure, people’s need for power and how easy it really if for a war to break out and I found that in my mind I could easily link what was going
The book I chose to read is Bull Rider it is written by Suzanne williams. The book Bull Rider has 128 pages it took me about 1 day to read the entire book. I learned that when times are tough and it is hard to get out of bed in the morning you have to grit your teeth put your feet on the floor and keep stepping forward or the world is going to pass you by.
I had chosen the book Eating Mindfully (Second Edition), by Susan Albers. Albers is a US-based psychologist who not only specializes in mindful eating, but also, eating issues, weight loss, and body image concerns. On top of creating these books Albers organizes mindful eating workshops across the country and internationally to assist people from all over the world.
The book to me was interesting. The author use make history sounds more exciting than the
Over the summer when I was sitting home and reading, The book was extremely hard and confusing to me. The book was so boring it was hard for my brain to stay focused on it. After a few chapters that I read I was hoping I could go look up some notes online to see if i get what was actually happening in the book, but no there was nothing on it. The whole summer I had to read that book and read chapters over and over again until I really understood the book and what was happening in the chapters.
This novel taught me alot. I loved all of the concepts but practice and purpose had the most effect on me. I will continue to use them in life and never forget
I found this book to be an eye opener to many things that I never really paid attitude to. We all want to believe that where we come from and who we are does not affect what we will be come. Yes all have heard it before you can be what you want to be as long as you work hard for it. But really many things that people would like to be are out of reached for the simple fact that you are not in the right class of people. Even thought
After finishing the book, I think I finally understood myself better, why I smoked, why it was so hard to free myself from the addiction, and how I could quit smoking for good. I used the book's advice and resources and set my cold-turkey quit date. Something felt different this time, as if I was armed with knowledge I never had before, and that gave made me gave me a powerful feeling before my quit date.
Honestly when I started reading the book I was kind of bored with it maybe it’s because I hate reading but I’m trying to break out of that stage so as I continued to read it got very interesting especially in Early Awareness Chapter it started to make me think about all the things I was taught in life and how I never asked question I think I was too young to realize.
This isn’t technically a book that I read when I was in the properly defined age group, but looking back at this book it is probably the book that has had the largest impact on my life, and had it been out when I was younger would have been a book that I would have read. I read this book after I had finished reading Tuesdays with Morie by the same author. Now I have read a lot of books in my life and I can’t think of one that has had a more profound affect on me than The Five People you Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom.
I really liked the book. It was very enjoyable to read. I would recommend it to my friends, because I think they
I really like the book because it shows that we should just be grateful for every moment
