In my Strong Interest Inventory, my highest themes results were conventional, enterprising and artistic. For my MBTI results I was described to be introverted, rely on my intuition, feel rather than think, and perceive rather than judge. My results for the Five Factor Inventory were high neuroticism and agreeableness, low extraversion, very high openness, and moderate conscientiousness. Lastly, my Strength Finder results were: restorative, input, context, harmony and developer. These personality traits have helped me learn and succeed in different types of environments in high school. I believe my results are pretty accurate.
In high school, I was introverted, like the MBTI predicted, which allowed me to take in people’s personalities and
When I was in third grade my teacher assigned us to write a book titled “All About Me” and just about every word was spelled incorrectly. I remember my teacher reading it and asking what word I was trying to spell out and I got upset. I felt like I could not spell anything I was trying to write, put things into the right words, or into the correct order. However, in seventh grade my writing changed when my English teacher assigned us a paper to write about a book the class was assigned to read. My writing had improved, but still had its problems. My English teacher always told me that there is no such thing as a perfect paper. After he read my rough draft, he handed it back to me and there were red marks all over it, so I went home and fixed
As an educator and advisor, I am very interested in student interest inventories. Working in the classroom, it can be very difficult to assess interest of students when choosing thematic units or classroom project. As a college advisor, I am constantly searching for resources to help my students choose a future career path. I completed research and found three popular interest inventories- the Strong Interest Inventory, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Clifton Strengths Finder. Each of the three assessments analyze the same general theme of interest, personality and career choice. I have analyzed each to determine the best interest inventory to use with my students.
They suggest that measuring one’s characteristics such as sociability, drive, self-determination and demeanor can aid one to better interpret and discern them introspectively. By taking the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI) I am able to compare my personality traits to careers in which I may enjoy, will fit my individual personality and enable me to be successful say Drummond, Jones & Sheperis (2016). The results of my self-administered inventory are as follows; Introvert (I) 55%, Intuitive (N) 76%, Feeling (F) 86% and Perceiving (P) 67%. The four dimensions of the inventory seem to be very accurate for the manner in which I view myself. The result of INFP suggests that my personality shows a predominant association with being in a career in which I am able to care for others, such as a healer. This is a correlate with my first career as a firefighter and
The purpose of selection of the Strong Interest Inventory is to determine the interest of the students. On the other hand, the purpose of Myers-Briggs is to ensure determination of the personality type as well as the career they would most likely decide to undertake. The instruments that I have selected may offer proper results when I carry out my analysis. For instance, Myer-Briggs ensures the provision of an in-depth personalized account of personality preferences. The Strong Interest Inventory, on the other hand, ensures that there is the generation of an in-depth evaluation of interests among an extensive range of occupations, job leisure activities, and educational subjects. This is always the case to facilitate helping of individuals in matching their interests. They can be educational interests, occupational interests as well as leisure pursuits that are entirely compatible with those particular
According to the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), I am an ISTJ personality this means that I am an Introvert, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging person. ISTJ are very faithful, loyal and dependable. We are also reserved people who are interested in a secure and quiet life. ISTJ’s place importance in being honesty and can be trusted to do the right thing for their families and friends. There are some weaknesses to being an ISTJ personality we are stubborn, insensitive, and judgmental. This test is amazing it really nailed my personality.
After having taken the strong interest inventory assessment, I was given a theme code. My theme code is RSA, which provided me with valuable information that can help me in identifying career options with my interests. I totally agree with the results produced by the strong interest inventory, I felt that the results were very accurate. Furthermore, realistic personality types have good skills in working with tools, mechanical drawings, machines, and animals. More importantly, the ideal work place setting would be outdoors because they do not enjoy being stuck inside, so these individuals avoid office work. Additionally, they enjoy putting things together and also building stuff. For example, construction workers are of a realistic personality type because a construction workers responsibilities mainly consistent of
in the academic aspect of my MBTI, score which is; ENTJ, it means that in my academic life I have the tendency of being extroverted, which could also very well mean that I am whether looking for being the center of attention or feeling comfortable in situations in which I end up being somewhat related to the center of attention ( which, is how I identify with this personality type, ‘ I feel “comfortable” in situations in which I’m somewhat end up being in the center of attention’ ), I also feel very much in touch with my Intuitive side of personality trait, because I do like to ponder on the bigger picture in order to have a better understand the many different options
The most significant challenge I have faced in my academic career is dealing with the lack of a diverse environment against minority groups who pursue a stem related education. It is a situation that many people I converse with often dismiss. As an African-American male, I think that the people who fully understand are those who year after year are the sole person of color in the classroom or event. There is always a nervous feeling at the start of new advanced courses or competitions such as hackathons; I commonly ask myself, “Do I even belong here?” In classes, students ask peers for help. At hackathons, they form teams with one another. It is when I am overlooked or met with faces full of surprise upon sharing my ability to code, or coursework
I hide in his car laying down in the back seat. I hear his footsteps coming and then the key in the drivers door. He opens it and some light from the street lamps flood in but he still doesn't see me. Once he sits down I take the metal wire in my hands, holding it at each end, and wrap it around his neck. I pull tight so that he can't bring his head forward, its stuck against the headrest.
My biopsychosocial characteristics will determine how I will perform this semester. I believe that being an overall healthy person will aid me this semester (biological), I also have a very good grip of my emotions and feelings (psychological), but one thing that I struggle with is the fact that I am very introverted (social).
I have been figuring out piece by piece how my page will look when it is finished. I was somewhat frustrated by trying to add separate pages to my main page, but I figured it out.
When setting out on my search, I felt confident I would have the most luck on Google. There I searched for not only “Jocelyn Nadeau”, but my name along with each of the towns I have lived in. I was aware depending on the search engine used, different results can be found. Consequently, I used the same tactic on Yahoo. After searching on a large scale, I decided to scour to the online archives of my local newspaper. I also signed up for a free trial of Ancestry.com, in the hopes there would some exciting information there. And, a helpful friend recommended trying out Instant Checkmate, which although I had never heard of, was willing to give a try. My last course of action was to search social media sites. I do not use social media myself, nevertheless, I wanted to see if my name was out there. I checked Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, and Myspace.
His intriguing personality facinated and distracted me from the problem at hand; he could be dangerous. I should have known not to trust someone I didnt know to much about. I tried calling the police but signal was lost and all I heard was “Sorry, call was unavailable”. The cops were no help being out of reach. Being in a very obscure cabin away from the greater populous, nobody could hear me if I were to use a gun or more elaberate way to kill this conspicuous man. I knew deep down, something was wrong because it was obvious by the way he was acting. When I went to grab a knife, it wasnt as accessible as I thought. I could not obtain the knife because I wasn’t in reach of the table that it was on, a few feet further than expected, causing
The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) enables an individual to gain a deeper insight into their inherent personality traits. For some people, they have had prior knowledge or underlying assumptions about their personality, but this test provides clearer information about each of their identifiable traits. According to the MBTI in Human-metric personality test, my scores were 22% (E) extroverted thinking more than introverted, 9% (N) intuitive as oppose to sensing, 16% (T) thinking more than feeling, and 12% (J) judging as compared to perceiving. Thus, my personality type is ENFJ. The ENFJ personality group is described as a minority group that consists of natural-born leaders, and people filled with passion, and charisma for example, Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey; they are notable members of this group, also known as the protagonists (16personalities, 2016). The protagonists apprehend pride in providing guidance for others to improve individually and to improve the community at large (16personalities, 2016). The protagonists find it naturally easy to communicate with others and excel at communicating with other people in person (16personalities, 2016).
That is, until I was nine and fainted at the sight of my own blood when I cut my finger.
