On the fifteenth of this month I went to the Arizona Military Museum. It is located within the Papago park military reservation off of McDowell in Phoenix. I went to it with my brother and his girlfriend. The museum had so much to look at since there was artifacts from so many different wars. Some of the wars on display were the: Mexican-American War, World War I, World War II, Vietnam War, Global War on Terrorism, and Iraq War. There were displays going back as far as the Spanish colonial period to the present. All of the displays were filled with artifacts such as: guns, ammo, uniforms, communication devices, knives, explosives, and medical equipment. They even had a helicopter and jeep from the Vietnam war. I had expected the museum to be
The setting took place at a bowling alley aboard the Military installation of Twentynine Palms, CA. They were celebrating a 5th birthday party of Child C. The following description is about two 4 yr. old boys. Child A had light skin, with curly black hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a white and clue stripped collar shirt and blue Nike shoes. Child B was taller than the first boy, had light skin, straight long black hair, and big brown eyes. He was wearing blue jeans, and a blue shirt with red sleeves, there was a picture of spider man on the front of the shirt. One the right side of the shirt, he had a black ribbon that said, “Birthday boy.” He had red Nike shoes, and was standing right next to Child A. There were four children bowling
Another aspect of the museum, caters to those who may or are a military brat and those who served. On the right side of the museum are old war uniforms from nurses and Lt. Commanders and drafters who were called off to World War I, II, Korean War, Vietnam and other country
On July 17, 2015, I visited the Palm Springs Air Museum, located in Palm Springs, California. The Palm Springs Air Museum is a history museum which helps to educate the public on role Air Power played in early American history. The Museum exhibits aircraft from many wars which include World War Two and the Vietnam Wars. The Palm Springs Air Museum uses related artifacts, artwork, and sources to conserve American History. When I first walked into the museum immediately made a left which led me into the Pacific Theater. What truly caught my attention was the Pearl Harbor Diorama which included all eight battle ships that were anchored there and it explained the entire attack on Pearl Harbor.

During Parent’s Weekend at Marquette, my family and I went to the Haggerty Art Museum. While I pleaded with my family to not go, as I am not a huge art fan, my Mom’s opinion overruled mine. From the outside, Haggerty looked like it would be small, but in reality, was quite large. When walking in, I immediately assumed that the art would not make any sense to me like at most art museums. However, I was quickly proven wrong as a lot of the art we saw was what I would consider impressive. They were not the drawings of a line or pieces that look like a child made them that you see at most museums, but what I call “real art”.
For this assignment, I visited the Veteran’s Museum on Mifflin Street. Admission is free to this museum and the only employees there are a gift shop/front desk employee and one security guard. The museum is self-guided, with the option to use headphones to hear recorded explanations about the exhibits. Most patrons walk around and view the exhibits at their leisure. The museum has exhibits about all of the wars the United States has been actively involved in since the United States became a country and highlights the contributions Wisconsin natives have made in these wars. The special exhibit at the museum when I visited was an expansion of their World War I exhibit. Information at the museum was mainly conveyed through displays of
The summers of 2013, I went to Cedar Point. It was me, my brother, my mom, dad, and my dad’s friend. My dad said, “we are going to get on all of us the roller coasters” and the rest of us said “ok.”
We had been walking back from the Jorgensen general store when Jimmy saw a kid his age and they started playing catch. We had been sitting there for hours and my wife had been talking to his wife and they invited us to their wagon train because I had told told them how we don't have one yet. Leaving independence, Missouri tomorrow March 8th.
In the veterans history project my initial thoughts about this project were very overwhelming because there was a lot to get done especially when turning in papers. When it came to getting started with the project and completing it, many emotional feeling came into play because one person could not do this project alone. Some of the feelings I experienced or felt was being worried about it, nervousness, and stressed about the whole thing in the beginning of the project.
I went to World War I Museum with other AAP students last Saturday. It was a fantastic trip for me. Moreover, he World War I memorial was a remarkable place to see the whole Kansas City. There were a lot of things are intrigued me, especially the artworks.
I was born in February in Nineteen Ninety-Nine. As a little kid all I would do is whine. I played on a soccer team with my friends. We would always hang out on the weekends. I went to a small, private elementary school.
My trip to the Grand Canyon was the best experience I ever had so far in my life. My grandparents from Korea came along with us. Even though I saw them last year it was still an enjoyable moment that I had. Grand Canyon is located in Arizona so what our family did was fly to Las Vegas early in the morning and arrive in Nevada around 9 o’clock am. Driving to Grand Canyon was also five hours with heavy traffic. Driving and stopping every hour was hard to do but at the end it was all worth it. It was good that I had couple electronic devices and my family to keep me in company.
On Monday, I went Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian. This museum is located in 4th Street and Independence Avenue, SW Washington, D.C. I want to know about American tribe’s story. So I visited there. By visiting museum, I could experience about American tribe’s culture, clothes, language and so on. In that time, I could find ‘Oklahoma’. Oklahoma is one tribe of American tribes that I found in class. There is a ‘Kaw calumet’. It is a product of Oklahoma that represent a sacred badge of friendship. It is used by some Indian leaders in opening ceremonies of treaty meetings. ( These ceremonial pipes marked the solemnity of the occasion.)
My experience to the Dallas Museum of Art was a bit different from the last time I had attended the museum. I was curious to see what pieces of art there would be and if it would be the same as the previous visit which was long ago, but to me all the pieces of art were so different and very interesting. It may have been because I saw all the pieces in a new perspective since learning about the different types of paintings there can be and knowing how and where sculptures come from. Even though I do not know much of art I really gave it a try into seeing what the artist may have wanted us to get out of his work. By reading a view of the chapters made me aware of art, I wouldn’t call myself an expert, but it was actually nice knowing that a
The historical site that I visited was the Overland Trail Museum in Sterling, Colorado. The main part of the museum that I will focus on is the Pioneer Village that they have there. I really liked this museum, because it is a more hands-on museum than other museums that I have visited. In the village, they have many different buildings. These buildings included Garrett Barber Shop, a schoolhouse, Evangelical Lutheran Concordia Church, a doctor 's office, a Dailey Store, The O 'Connell House, a Filing Station, a train station, and a train car. Every time you went into one of these buildings, there was a brief summary of where the building used to be located and the building was filled with things you would have found in that building a long time ago.
