I am the a paperdoll I went to the boys' and the girls basketball game on Saturday. Bef The girls played against Pierce City and the lost to them, we traveled to Marinville then we got back to the high school and got the car and drove to Miami, Oklahoma we got there with an hour to rest before the boys game started. The boys played really well they won their tournament and got to take home the trophy. After the game we went to get something to eat we stopped at Chick Fil A because the boys were going to go there but they changed their minds and went somewhere else. Next we went and got Andy’s ice cream. It was a good time to bond with the girls that came to the game. It was a long ride home, we listened to a lot of music some that were old
aturday 1777, I had a soccer game. The games started at 12;30, as I arrived at the game, I kept getting nervous and nervous. The frogs were a really good team and this was a huge game to us. This game determined if we made it to the championship or not. I knew all of my teammates were going to give it their all and so was I. If we won, we were going to go to the web and later on that night, stay the night at amy's house. Everyone was counting on the best player, jessa. Jessa was nice and super smart. I really looked up to her. Our team had 14 girls on the team. Our team was one of the best teams, in the district. The game had started, the frogs got the ball first, we took the ball supper quick. We were up 17 points, when the other other team,
It was a fine Sunday Morning. I was about to experience a fun day of baseball. It was a beautiful afternoon for a trip to the ballpark. I could hardly wait to get there to experience all of the fun things. I was with my brother and his girlfriend and my two nephews and me.I got there by car with my brother's girlfriend and me and my nephew. When we got there we went to the park there and played on the playground. Then we headed up to our seats which were all the way at the top ,one of the best seats in the house. I went down to the concession stand and my brother gave me $20 to buy three pops and a small pop for my nephews and me. The guys who comes to you and give you the ice cream and stuff. we got slushies
“Come on guys,” I yelled. I heard the screech of the referee’s whistle. Rushing to the bench, I heard the referee call out “Timeout, Heat.” Everything was on the line and our team’s championship hopes, being foremost on our team’s minds, was all coach could scream about. “I’m not going to tell you how to play basketball,” he yelled out. “That’s your job. I’m just going to say that right now, to us, this is a championship game. If we win this, we move on to the championship. If not, at least let us fall valiantly.” That got the whole team riled up as we rushed back onto the court. The crowd, encouraging as always, yelled out their approval on the fact that we were giving it our all. With just sixteen seconds left in the game and our team down by four, something special had to happen or we were done for the season.
When I was younger, basketball was all I wanted to play, it just looked like so much fun. In fifth grade I had my parents sign me up for CYB, then in sixth grade I tried out for middle school basketball and played all the way up until ninth grade. In middle school when I was in eighth grade I was awarded the captain position and that helped me build leadership and responsibility. All of the players especially the younger ones knew they could always come to me at any time if they needed anything or help with anything. High school basketball was a lot different than middle school. In middle school I was one of the star players so I played a lot but in high school that changed. I sat the bench a lot that taught me patience and understanding even
I fell in love with basketball 7 years ago. What began as a few trial trainings gradually grew into a deep passion for the sport. I realized that I had the flair for it as doing moves like layups came to me very naturally. All I had to do was to observe my coach do an example once, practice the move a few times, and I got it.
Our 8th grade basketball team were putting on a show! Opponents would enter bobcat territory where our team would play a hard fight to take another win. Every game spectators are left in astonishment after witnessing determination, willingness, and our spirit until the clock expires down to its last second.
My stomach twisted at the thought of losing when we pulled into the McDougal High School’s parking lot. I ran into the building where our coach taught us the new positions until it was time to play. The ref blew the whistle and threw the ball into the air. I jumped up with my feet dangling off the ground and slapped the ball out of its orbit and ran down the court. I could feel my heart beating, I lurched to a screaming halt at the three point line and pushed the ball towards the basket. I shut my eyes hoping it would make it. I heard the ball drop to the ground and the crowd that was erupting with cheers, I opened my eyes and saw my teammates smiling. “That’s a girl!” my coach hollered as I ran towards the sideline and sat down on the bench. We ended up winning by 2 points after two overtime periods.
I do believe that it is very important to be involved with not only your school but also
“Friday night games with huge crowds. That atmosphere is hard to beat.” Senior Hunter Martin is playing through his fourth and final year on the Varsity basketball team. For two years in a row, he has been the starting foward. “Basketball hasn’t always been easy but I’m really glad I stuck through it all four years,” Martin said. Looking back on his accomplishments, Martin said that his favorite memory was was win the team won districts his sophomore year. “Nothing can compare to that moment of celebrating with my team.”
“A memorable day is about to start” as I said to my friend before leaving. It was a cold day in Toronto our SHSM (Special High Skill Major) business group was getting ready for a great time together. It was a group of 30 students and 2 teachers and everyone was excited to watch the raptors game and most importantly winning the game. As we reach our destination at the Air Canada Center everyone was thrilled by the environment. Everyone was taking pictures of tall buildings, architecture and their surroundings. The trip was overall related to business and how it is associated with MLSE (Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment). Following the presentation, the group went out for a dinner and back for the game, to see
Hey this new year a has been going great. To start off we had some person come in and bid 11,000 over asking price for the house and lay down 100,000 in earnest money. So I signed the papers today and close March 16th. On the way back to the valley house I got a call at the y in the road and got offered the managers position for gateway to college and the running start program for Spokane. The house and a job in one day. I thought it could not get better but I went to the Dr's and he said I need some massage twice a week for 6 to 8 weeks.
On a saturday morning the philomath basketball team had a basketball game very early in the morning. I went in the gym and saw my team warming up and I remember looking up from tying my shoes and just see what I thought was a NBA team. When I was walking over to the lay up line I heard there shoes shaking the ground as they would walk and jump the ball not even touching the rim when they would shoot a three and the two post that were 6,2 I know that doesn’t sound talk but for us in 7 grade that was tall. We go back to are bench as we hudl up and I remember my Dad whispers in my ear just post up strong the first time and i promise you he will get scared and not want to play. I remember looking at are crowd and seeing my brother and all his friends laughing and not even looking at the game in front of them.
Yesterday we weren't champions, yesterday we were just a typical team. We weren't expected to be Minnesota State, Class A, Girls Basketball champions. We were going up against the number one team in the state, the team that beat every other team by at least 30 points. Everyone thought that we would have gotten beat by 30 points too, but it was yesterday when all of that changed.
My basketball team and I were going head to head against Lamar Bruni Middle School for the second time that season. The parents loved to cheer us on and capture so many pictures of us, they were our cheerleaders all season long. We were 5-0 at the time and losing that game was not an option for any of my teammates nor the coaches. Unfortunately, I was not able to give it my all in that game due to me twisting my ankle in the third quarter.
One rainy night in November, I arrived to the church gym for my first basketball practice of the season. As I walked in the doors creaked and you could smell the gym floor. As I already heard the basketballs hitting the ground, bouncing up and down. My friends Brittany and Destiny walked in right behind me through the door. That was when we realized we were the only girls surrounded by all guys. As practice came to a start we began to run, it felt like we were never going to stop. Up and down the court as we ran suicides, you could hear the squeaking of shoes as we went from the next line back and then on to the next. Before we started scrimmaging, the two captains were boys. Brittany, Destiny, and I stood in amazement as we were the last three standing there. You could see by their expressions they didn’t want any of us on either team.
