“Aww! He is so cute!” I said as I saw my aunt’s new chihuahua. Last week, my aunt got a puppy. He’s so sweet and so cute! A cute little chihuahua. This is how I met him. I was sitting in our kitchen, about to eat, when my aunt went it. I ran over to her, happy to see her, and in her hands was a small, black and brown chihuahua. My aunt told me he weighed one pound. Of course, I immediately held him. I couldn’t resist. He was such a cutie! With pointy ears, big black eyes, and a small nose, he was the center of attention at our house. The puppy didn’t have a name yet, so we tossed around a few names. None of them were a good name for the pup. The next day, after my aunt came home from work, I went over to her house to play with him. He still
That night my parents forgot her outside in the backyard. But I remembered her. I went downstairs, let her in, and gave her some leftover turkey from earlier that night. We both went upstairs and with her literally on top of me, keeping me warm, her slicked back fur and a smile on her little puppy-dog face, we fell asleep, bringing the most perfect day to an

When I was eight years old my family and I owned a dog by the name of Beefy. One afternoon someone mistakenly left the garage door open. Beefy being the adventurous black labrador he is, scurried away down the street and throughout the neighborhood. After a few days have passed, Beefy still did not return.
We called him Tank. He was just sent to the Fort Myers ASPCA from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was alone and homeless after the Hurricane Katrina destroyed his hope for a future. It was fate that he was meant to be with our family. Seeing all of the good that was done to get my new puppy a forever home struck a place in my heart and made me appreciate all of the awesome work that this organization has done, not only for my dog, Tank, but also for the millions of other animals desperate for a better future. This is why I chose to feature the ASPCA and the many things that they do to make a difference in our world
I remember the very first day my family and I got our Italian Greyhound, Cyrus. My Sister wanted to get a dog so badly so we all got on my dad’s computer to order one. My Mom wanted a dog that was cat-like so we chose an Italian Greyhound as our dog. We were surprised to find out that he would be coming from Nebraska in only three days. This meant that we were totally unprepared to receive him but we still did from the airport. Even though he was shy at first he grew to be a hyper little dog and to love us. Even though I love to be with him I don’t know much about his kind, so I decided to find out where and when they originated, What their body is like, and what it is like to live with them.

When I was eighteen years old, my dad bought a puppy for my birthday. It is a Chihuahua breed and its name is Princess. When my sister and I got home and there was a tiny crate in the corner of the living room. I asked my mom, “Are we getting a puppy today?” “I guess you’ll have to wait and see” she said.
“Nah I want him to also have a good nickname from his name. Hows Oliver?” I asked. When I said that my dog barks as is if he likes that name too. Me and my mom started laughing! Finally, my mom works out the money and stuff with the breeder and we walk out where I notice the dog seems a little Perplexed about where he is going. As we reach the car we put down a blanket in case the puppy gets sick. We drive down the dirt road I sit back in my seat and realize the puppy was finally
She was a lot of fun to play with and she was very energetic. We did not get her that day, but the employees told us that the dog we were interested in was going to be at Petsmart the next day. We went to Petsmart and we were going to make the final decision if we were going to get her. My sister and I really wanted her but my dad was hesitant about the idea of getting her. He did not know if we were ready for another dog. My sister and I really wanted her so we exclaimed “ we will do everything to take care of the dog!”
In 2010 both of my dogs, Daisy and Cody died in December. My family and I were mournful about our two dog’s death ,so we decided to get a puppy. Our family looked on a website to find puppies and we found a lot of dogs we liked. My mother liked a two year old dog named Chester ,but I liked a three year old Pug named Scooter. Finally, my family found a Saint Bernard named Ollie that we absolutely fell in love with.
I was around 12 years old when i heard my mother yell my name from the kitchen. Alarmed, i ran to the kitchen and saw her holding my step-father back. I was very confused, it must have been very serious if she called me into one of their argument. While still holding him back trying to keep him away from me, she told me to call the police,”Call 911!”,she said. I ran to the first phone i could find; they were all ripped from the cord. I didn’t know what to do, i couldn’t go back to the kitchen where i was exposed to my step-father. I ran outside to our next door neighbor; knowing they had their huge pitbull unleashed i hesitated to take another step. What was i going to do? Go back to the kitchen and tell my mom i can’t call the police because
There are so many kinds of dogs in the world, but why did the shell decide to make me this dog? What if it wasn’t the shell, what if it was the wish I made of becoming a dog, or I was always a dog all along but I didn’t know it? My dad was getting scared and so was I. He stared posting images of me all around town, and he already talked to the police. NO matter what, I had to do something. So, I stared to think maybe I could go around town and try to find one of those papers and show it to my dad maybe he will get a hint that it was me. And that exactly what I did. I found one paper, but I couldn’t reach it off the post it was stapled to. A little girl came by be and noticed I didn’t have a coler on and she asked what I was doing here and

After an hour of playing with him we still couldn’t get over the moment of us getting him. My mom got each of us a toy to give to him. I gave him a red lobster and my two sisters gave him bones. I also got my dog a bone, water, and food on that Christmas morning. Since Toby always bark, I cannot wait until he comes inside. Finally, he stopped barking. For a long time, I did not know if he was ever going to stop barking. We were in the happiest house on the street that day, our house was almost dancing. One big memory I have with my dog was putting him in the back of my Tonka truck and driving him around for
