Beep, Beep, I reached over and hit my alarm clock until it shut off. It was only 6 o’clock in the morning and I was already getting up. I was going fishing with my Dad, Pepe and one of his friends, Harold. We were going to Milford lake which is about 45 minutes away. My dad told me that they never have any luck at all when they go fishing, and something bad always happens, and we were wishing that nothing would happen this time either. Pepe was running late and the morning was not starting the way we wanted it to be. It took us a while to get everything packed and the boat hooked up to the truck. By the time we got everything together and packed it was almost 7:30. We were off to go pick up Harold and we waited outside for him for about five minutes, we honked then he finally he came came out. …show more content…
I fell asleep pretty much right when we got on the road. When i woke up we were almost there. The weather when we left was not too bad and a little windy, but when i woke up it was really cloudy and the wind was blowing about fifty miles per hour. We had a heck of a time getting the boat off and into the water. We were the only people who were on the water it seemed, they were all smarter than us. By the time we drove the boat to the spot that we wanted to go the clouds had gotten even heavier and the wind had picked up another fifty mph it seemed like. We got our poles baited up and put in the water for probably ten minutes and felt drop, drop, drop. It had started
It was the summer of ’95 and one day I woke up and felt really sick. I lived alone ever since the passing of my dear husband, John, since I lived alone I needed someone to take care of me just in case something really horrible went wrong! Well anyway, I had called my daughter that morning and she sent little red riding hood on an adventure to get to my house to spend the night. About 45 minutes later I heard a loud knock on the door, being the curious
It was the first day of summer, about 10 o' clock in the morning and my phone rang. It was a number I didn't recognize but I answered it anyway. "Hello Ms. Mullen are you coming today?"
A Lot of people go out on the lake every year to go salmon fishing,I am one of them.I go out salmon fishing every year with my grandfather and brothers.I am an avid angler and fish whenever I get the chance.what happened this day was something I had never expected to happen.
Once we got out there is was scary my friend drove me around and we went about 40 mph. I almost flew off the jet ski into the water. After that we got to a cove where we just relaxed and swam for a little bit. Then we went back after a while to eat dinner. We ate then we got in the hot tub and relaxed. The second day we went to the “jumping bridge”. That was so scary because we were all standing on the ledge a bridge while they counted down. It felt like free falling and I was terrified. After that I got to drive the jet ski. I was super excited. I was driving and a big wake came at us so I slowed down and the wake came over the nose and soaked Trey’s dad and I. We got home swam, and had a good
Fishing is an activity I have enjoyed doing ever since I was a little kid. In fact, one of my first fishing voyages was with my grandpa when I was about eight years old. He was an avid fisherman who went fishing almost every day and knew everything there was to know about fishing. Grandpa got me hooked on fishing. After Grandpa died, my dad picked up where Grandpa left off. We had a pontoon, and Dad took my brothers and me fishing whenever we had the chance. To this day, I still love fishing just as much as I had on my first fishing trip with my grandpa. Many people enjoy hobbies that are relaxing and peaceful, and others prefer exhilarating activities that never have a dull moment. I enjoy fishing because it has some of both.
The first time I went fishing was with my dad.We were fishing at a campsite out in the middle of nowhere. On the way to the lake we saw a little baby fox running through the woods. My dad told me a story about when
While roaming around a corner store with my grandmother, I saw some old fishing rods in the back corner of the store. After looking at them for a few minutes, one rod seemed to stand out more than the others. The price tag on it, was a bit of deal breaker though. On a student budget, three hundred dollars seemed a bit out of my price range. The more I thought about it, the more it didn't seem like the smartest purchase to make.
It felt like I was under the water for hour when realistically it was only a few seconds. Finally I the pressure release and bombed up to the surface. I immediately burst out into tears, my dad swam to me and tried to comfort me but I was so shook by this I couldn’t even talk. I got back on the boat and my parents tried to calm me down as we went back to the house. I finally fueled it together by the time we got to the house and announced to the whole family that” I will never water ski again!” Luckily we can laugh about it today but I still haven’t water skied since, maybe I will try it in a few year who knows but I will never forget this
It was a cool windy summer morning in Clear Lake, RMNP, and my family and friends decided to rent a pontoon boat, to enjoy a day out on the lake. We planned on going on the lake for around five hours so we packed up some delicious sandwiches and drinks, then headed down to the marina to rent a pontoon boat. As we get to the marina we look out onto the water to see the waves vigorously lashing against the shore. We then approach the guy at the marina and ask to rent a pontoon boat for 9. He then shows us to our boat and we load up all of our stuff on to the boat. By that time the wind started to pick up a bit causing the waves to get even larger than before, I could say I have a minor fear of boats but I really enjoy just getting my tan on
Davie just retired from the military and is content with starting a new chapter of his life. He is a loyal man with nothing but good intentions. Davie grew up in Tampa Bay and knew MacDill Air Force Base was a fishing sanctuary. He and his childhood friends had plenty of memories of slaying the flats on base when they were kids. Davie had a friend named Derrick whose grandfather was in the Army. Derrick’s grandfather was able to get Derrick, Davie, and their good friend Martin on base because of his military ID. Davie made a promise to Derrick and Martin that once he retired from the military it would be just like it was when they were kids. Derrick and Martin held him to his word.
I t was my first day on the job as a coast guard. My experience that day is one that I would never forget. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was going on a mission to save a girl trapped on a boat next to a bridge.
I start to move out of bed and towards the door of my room. I know what I’m going to be doing today, I will be spending all my time with my family on our boat fishing. From around 6 in the morning till 7 at night. It should be fun to hang out for a whole day in the hot sun with the family.
My dad came home from fishing and brought a cat fish. So, we had so much food we gave food to our neighbors some cat fish. After we all ate we were trying to sleep .Then, a bear came
t was a sunday afternoon after i had gone jet skiing with my friend. It had started raining so we thought we would go eat subway then maybe come back. We had the two jet skis attached to the trailer behind our old, rusty red, rickety car. We also had a water tube attached to the trailer. Which probably wasn’t a good idea. So we were on our way back from the lake, going to subway to get a sandwich. Then the rain just starts raining like the whole ocean is coming out of the sky. It was crazy. Then we looked back to check on the tube and the jet skis. Yeah this is the uh-oh part. We looked back at them and we had the jet skis check, but the tube was gone. Uh-oh. We turned the car around to try and retrace our steps but who knows it could have
We left while the sun was fully up and the sky was blue with fluffy white clouds; there was not a sign of rain anywhere. We walked on the pier to where we had to board our cruise ship. Many cruise ships were docked. Some were coming in
