3 samples of hair are picked from 3 suspects that maybe the murderer of Mr.Mowder. Another sample of hair was extracted from the crime scene left by the killer. Under the microscope, 4 samples of hair were observed. Sample A or Schwab’s hair sample was light brown, wide, had a presence of medulla, and dark shadings on both sides of the hair. Sample B or Clark’s hair was darker, thinner than Suspect A’s, and still had presence of medulla.The shading was uneven on the sides. Sample C or Klotz’s hair was light blonde or grey, wide, had no presence of medulla, and no shading. Finally the hair sample found on the body of Mr.Mowder was light brown, wide, had presence of medulla, and dark shading on the sides. The essay is Alderich’s firsthand account of the females in her immediate family and how they use their hair styles to define themselves and represent their self-identity.

Have you ever been through a journey faced with complications that lead you through frequent steps that can occasionally make you want to give up? I decided to do my capstone project on The Journey of Natural Hair, mainly focusing on the selections of afro-textured portions throughout my project. A journey of natural hair is a route you take along with your hair as you encounter different changes and ideas pertaining to your hair. The Natural hair journey technically starts when you are born because everyone is born with different varieties of natural hair. My reason for choosing such a topic is because it is something I can relate to. I have also experienced many of the common stages along my natural hair journey. This topic stands out to me and is something I enjoy talking and learning about. I understand that many aren’t able to self-experience a journey of natural curls which varies with race and background. Exposures to chemicals such as hair relaxers can permanently change the texture of the relaxed portion of hair. As I research further into my subject I hope to learn how certain things can manipulate the hair. I also seek to learn new things the journey has prepared as it continues step by step. I can achieve this by gaining more knowledge about natural/afro-textured hair through others experiences and studies on it.

The weave ponytail is usually done with curly or weave hair. Cornrows updo with a weave ponytail usually last two to four weeks. I ran to my makeup collection, yes collection, I don't know how much makeup I could own, I practically owned it all. I don't even wear that much makeup, I just like to have it. I quickly took a beauty blender, dabbing foundation over my face. I put on a light amount of concealer and then powder before I blended a bronze eye shadow on my eyes. I quickly took my eyeliner, drawing a sharp wing and then applied a light coat of mascara to my eyelashes.

I always grew up a bad kid, making my mom mad, sad, and having no idea what to do with me. When I was around 3 I decided it would be a really smart idea to “clean” our front rooms carpet. Thinking that laundry detergent cleaned everything, I figured it would work on carpet. I put that thought to the test when I decided to grab some powdered detergent and sprinkle the whole thing on my front rooms carpet, and then dump tons of water all over it. While I’m still not sure how I ended up getting away with this, I did anyways.

Various people have the constant need to make themselves appealing to others, all the while making themselves feel terrible. There are various possessions out there that they could do, from changing their hair to makeup or even your clothes. This can accomplish various possessions, the most prominent being self-confidence. Not various people do but you could even change your outlook on life; if you were once an emo person then you could try being happier, go lucky. In order to change their hair, they may cut it or even dye it. This may be your simple everyday colors or it may be something completely out there, such as red or even a multitude of colors. In the movie Hair I didn't see the day to day violence as seen in Catch 22. In Hair you see young people displaying the feelings against war with love and peace. The movie brought awareness to war by showing a possible alternate way of life in which love, happiness and freedom dominate. Berger showed sacrifice by allowing Claude time to visit the girl he likes and unfortunately got stuck in Claudes place. It did however show one reality of war when Berger was walking to his death onto the plane, heading to the unknown. This could of been his perception of hell. I’m sure to his family or anyone else’s family war is hell.

Chris Rock’s documentary, Good Hair, investigates the notion of what good hair is. Dominant society views good hair as straight or essentially caucasian hair. This is not only problematic to the self-esteem and confidence of black women, but it can also cause black women to appropriate Asian culture. Black women unfortunately take advantage of Asian culture in search of what society believes is good hair. Many black women wear weaves in order to align to what society believes is good hair. However, when they buy this hair, they do not realize what Asians go through. Likewise, Asians who give up their hair do not know where or who this hair will be going to. Vibrant colours, outrageous costumes, masks, dresses, stilts, lights consuming my vision making it impossible to concentrate. The early evening air seems to cool my throat as I take deep breaths trying to stay calm. Pushed around by the seemingly never ending crowd, it seems almost impossible to get to my destination. You see I have arranged to meet someone very special right by the hot dog stand and I am determined to get there no matter how hard I have to fight sea of festival goers to do so.

At some point in a woman's life, she is, if like most women, unhappy with her hair. A woman with straight hair wishes for curly ringlets. A woman with curly hair wants stick-straight locks. Thick and coarse desires to be fine and thinner. Fine and thin begs for thick hair.
