From the very beginning of the lesson when I introduced the activity students were looking forward to the “tic-tac-toe” activity. I had students first play tic tac toe by defining the words. When students were doing well with that, I then began having students use the words in sentences. This was a lot more challenging for the students and they began just helping each other out instead of competing. For the next lesson, we are going to spend more time on using these vocabulary words in sentences. I know students struggled more with the word “humane” since it is so similar to human. Some students just drew a person for their picture of the word “humane” so I know we will need to spend more time on it next time. Our goal for next time is to be
More then exceeding my expectations, Seussical the Musical opened on Broadway in 2000 and has since been preformed in off-Broadway settings around the country. Intricately weaving The Cat in the Hat with the various chronicles of Horton the elephant such as Horton Hears a Who and Horton Hatches an Egg, this performance exceeded my expectations. Considering it was a dinner theater in Jacksonville, Florida and that the play’s namesake came from a book my parents read to me as a toddler, my expectations were relatively low; however, the performance greatly exceeded my preconceived expectations. From the high quality of the actors to the surprisingly sophisticated plot, this play proved to be a real treat.
I rush into my home and run up the stairs to my room. I jump on my bed and roll over to my laptop and open it quickly. I log onto the One Direction site and see that I made it in time to see the bid. I scroll and try and find my name and I see I'm in third place for the tickets and the time is running out. I've already bid $7000 for three tickets and backstage passes. The reason it's so expensive is because these passes are the last set of passes for their concert. 5sos is also playing so we would be meeting two bands and hearing both of them play.
In 2025, I will be twenty-nine years old and hopefully married. I will be married to my significant other of ten years Earnest Palmer III, who is a dentist. I would have been recently graduating with a bachelor’s in Culinary Arts and trying to plan to open my own restaurant, BubbaD’s Eateries. Knowing my big headed husband of mine, I probably had a baby then and trying to have another baby. Hopefully, by then Earnest will get rid of the idea naming our son, King. We will be living in the suburbs near New York City but working in the city. Being a woman with great memory, I probably wrote a memoir about my crazy life and trying to sell it to a publisher. If none of the publishers wants to publish my memoir, I will probably sell it the Lifetime
“On my honor, I will never betray my badge, my integrity, my character, or the public trust. I will always have the courage to hold myself and others accountable for our actions. I will always uphold the constitution, my community, and the agency I serve.” This is the oath average citizens take right before they become police officers. The oath shows us why police officers are here, they are here to protect us. The police, and other Government officials, should use police brutality because, if the same people who are supposed to be protecting us are hurting and killing us, then regular citizens are not going to respect laws and authority.
We stared like lethal predators to our next prey. This time it was young man, waiting in a bus station. It was late and dark; the street was empty, therefore it was a perfect timing. This last couple of days were a lot confusing and stressful; I kept having the same nightmare. So I decided to kill again to snap out of it. The man sat quietly concentrated on his cell phone; poor soul, he doesn’t knows that his time is up. I made a sign to Bobby Lee to step up from the dark alley we were hiding and go toward the guy. As he moved closer I instructed Hiram to intersect the guy on his left while I went to his right.
When I was young my Dad would always remind me of how important these years as a kid are. He would always say watch how you act as a kid, for it will set the stage for the rest of your life. So many people I know ruined their lives when they were kids. This small, yet so important statement runs through my mind everyday. I love how everyone says they don’t care what people think of them, but I wish they knew how important it is to have a good image. I am not perfect, but I would like to be close as possible. But as Salvador Dali said “Have no fear of perfection, you’ll never reach it. “ The problem I see is everyone wanting to be someone that they are not. Sure, we all have our idols that we look
On 11/01/17, at approximately 4:33pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian with Franklin County Animal Care and Control was dispatched to the State Route 315 North and Rich St on a police assist. I arrived on scene at approximately 4:55pm and met with Columbus Division of Police (CPD) Officer T. Eklins #1963. CPD Eklins stated the van (green) was abandon on the side of the freeway. As CPD Officer Eklins approached the van, the side door was open and a medium mix (Black) dog barked at him. I had CPD Officer Eklins complete a police assist form. I utilized my snare pole and placed the dog in my vehicle. The dog was wearing a 2013 Dog license. I located dog owner Roger Hamby (1495 Greenleaf Rd). I requested that FCACC Dispatcher B. Grotsky try to contact dog owner. FCACC Dispatcher B. Grotsky had to leave a voice message for dog owner. I cleared from the location at approximately 5:27pm.
The word normal doesn’t apply to someone that’s terrified to throw a gum wrapper in the trashcan. It was a ten-step journey that could transform my life forever. To step out of my chair and making it back safely as if a demon was chasing me seemed simple to others, but mentally draining for me. In order to accomplish my mission, I thought out the steps in my head.
Bilbo, Gandalf, and Smaug are examples of character archetypes. For example, Bilbo represents the hero. Gandalf represents the mentor. Smaug’s archetype is the threshold guardian. These functions or roles are like makeup that the characters wear in the story. In ‘The Hobbit’, Bilbo, Gandalf and Smaug play roles that help develop suspense in the story.
How I work is like… something that I can’t even explain because it travels through me and I blow myself away.
I would like to say my personal code of ethics is only what I feel is right. But I know that I have to fall along the lines of ethics while making my decision. For example, I probably will get hate and be judged by this, but it is my personal ethics, if a patient is a substantial amount of pain and begs for their life to end, I personally believe it is okay, with not only their consent, but also those of family members, to "pull the plug". Now before anyone tells me how wrong I am, I know it is a crime and something NEVER to be done. I would not do this because I know it is a crime and would not want to lose my job and have worse consequences. But to sum this up, Yeah, I do have some personal ethics that are not okay in the eye of medical practice
“I will allow you to go to over Mackenzie’s sleepover as long as you promise to watch PG-13 or younger”, my mom yell up the base of the stairs from the kitchen.
Two to the left and one to the right; cars being swatted onto the rails like flies. Sluggishly roaming down the mountain, thinking this will never happen to us. Driving slow, trying not to break, we continued downhill. At times we could barely see as the wiper was no match for the snow and our chainless tires were no match for the ice. Holding my breath, our car began to slide. “We’re sliding!” screeched my little sister, Zoya. Pushing her hand off the steering wheel, I yelled at my mother “Don’t break!” Then silent and still was the car, finding ourselves in the middle of two lanes. Listening to our tired breaths turned to pants, we drove on.
My Family and I were at home eating dinner. After dinner I told my mom that I had left something on top of the mountain, so she said “‘go up to get it Mary. But she didn’t want me to go alone so I went to go see if my friend was home but he wasn’t so I disobeyed my moms rules and went up by myself anyway. And it was starting to get dark so I had to get the base fast but I couldn’t find it. Now it was really dark and 2 hours had already passed and I couldn't my way off the mountain because it was so dark. And with my luck my phone died so I couldn’t call anyone for help, so I just started walking and walking after a little bit I realized I was getting nowhere so again I walked eventually I just fell and went to
In the gritty world of crime fiction, a detective must be prepared to face any number of gruesome and impossible challenges that come with living in the traditional urban landscape. One of the most difficult challenges is the detective’s never ending fight to keep control in a chaotic society, and a serious threat to that authority is the ever dangerous temptation of the women in his life. Crime fiction uses a division of female sexuality to take power from the women of the novel and give it to the men of society.
