The Wild
My Family and I were at home eating dinner. After dinner I told my mom that I had left something on top of the mountain, so she said “‘go up to get it Mary. But she didn’t want me to go alone so I went to go see if my friend was home but he wasn’t so I disobeyed my moms rules and went up by myself anyway. And it was starting to get dark so I had to get the base fast but I couldn’t find it. Now it was really dark and 2 hours had already passed and I couldn't my way off the mountain because it was so dark. And with my luck my phone died so I couldn’t call anyone for help, so I just started walking and walking after a little bit I realized I was getting nowhere so again I walked eventually I just fell and went to

So I decided to wait until morning to look.
I woke up around 6:30 in the morning and I realized I had not eaten in days and I was starving. So I went out and started looking for something to eat, but I couldn’t find anything, then out of the corner of my eye I saw a rabbit so I jumped for But unfortunately I missed and the rabbit hopped away. So I went back to the camp, and I sat there and I was thinking how was I going to catch any animals then it hit me.I started out in the woods looking of a curved stick and eventually after looking for one for about twenty minutes I found one I tried to break it but it was to hard so it was a good stick. So I started walking back to camp when I got there I took one of my shoelaces and tied it to the stick the shoelace was nice and sturdy so I knew this was going to be a good bow.
So the next day I went out to the woods again and started looking for arrows. I found a few good sticks and took them back to camp and started sharpening them. I put a little crease in the end of the arrow and then put in the quiver then I shot it and surprisingly it went pretty far probably a good 20 feet. So I took it out and started looking for food then I saw it a rabbit sitting right in front of me I put the arrow in the quiver and I shot it. I took it back to camp and I realized I had to skin it so I used my rock knife to skin it and I found another straight stick to stab the rabbit and then I cooked it over the fire. I was
Once we got to our land which was about 9 miles from where we were staying in Faulkton, SD. My dad dropped me off on the edge of a mile long tree grove. My dad said “if you see anything let me know, text me don't call.” I jumped out of the pickup and started my long walk through the trees. As I walked through the cold and snowy trees trying to kick up a deer I heard the snap of a twig about 25 yards to the left of me. When I looked I realized that it was an impressive 12 point buck that was rubbing his horns on a tree and breaking off some small twigs. I got down on my knees as slowly and Quietly as I could without spooking the massive deer away. The deer didn't even notice me as I sat
When i was a young buck back in the day my dad bought me my first bow i was so excited. The next day we went to L and M and bought arrows feild tips and a relese, then we went home to target practice. I was shooting at ten yards i missed the target and i hit the lawnmower tire, my dad grounded me for two days.
When we put the boat back in as we are driving down the bayou we see some duck swimming in the woods and we stop and pull up and tie off the boat and start walking to them. Well, as we are chasing them we jump some up but we don't shot. Well, when we find the ones we were chasing and we shot my dad hits one and it lays there and as we go to get it gets up and flies away. well we decided to go get the boat and the decoys and hunt there well on the way out my cousin gets the bright idea to try to climb over the log instead of going around it and I said ¨ have fun trying to get over that log¨ and he said ¨ I will.¨ When he gets to the top of the log and gets stood up he losses his balance and slips and falls as he is falling he drops his gun in the water and luckily it hits his legs and he catches it and when he gets up he looks like he is going to cry and then I bust out laughing and so does my dad then my cousin just starts laughing. When we got to the boat my dad said do you all want to hunt here or go were we normally do and we said were we normally do and he said ok. When we get there my cousin takes his waiters completely off and dumps the water out of them and puts the back on and when we get to our spot there ducks are everywhere. We end up going home with every body limited out which mean everybody kills their limit
The next Monday coach gave us practice off so I headed home again. That night I went over to my brother's house and borrowed his shotgun because it had a fully rifled barrel with a scope. This gun was much better than mine. While I was there we talked about where he had shot his deer and where he had saw other deer. I headed home that night with little hope that I would actually get a deer at all. It was really cold when I got up the next morning. I headed out to a spot near where my brother shot his deer. As I walked out the snow covered ground crunched under my feet. I got set up in my spot and settled down for the wait. I was sitting there for about forty five minutes when I heard a noise.
First, one snowy morning Annabeth,Sonya,Niko,Raymond ,and I were all geared up to go on a hunt for deer.We all said our goodbyes we went out into the forest. We just killed one deer then we heard a snap,it was a deer.We ran after it the we lost it.We looking around and then we turned around and a elk was charging right at us.
We drove in the truck towards the direction of where the doe ran. Adrenaline was rushing through my body. Was the doe going to be there? It was my first time shooting a deer. I desperately wanted to find her dead in the field. My heart was pounding with anticipation and excitement. For a minute it felt as if my heart was going to burst out of my chest. When we pulled up I saw her on the ground. There she was, my first deer. Beaming with pride and joy, I looked at my grandfather. He looked at me with a smile and said, “That was a great shot I am proud of
Ha! Ha!”I chuckled.I started building a shelter but the darkness fell over me like a blanket. So then I said I will keep on building the shelter tomorrow so I went to sleep. The next day when I woke up I worked for almost 3 hours until I finally finished building. “Hooray!”I yelled.Next I said I decided I will take a nap and refresh my head. One hour later, on that day I said time to start hunting for food or finding water. Therefore, I asked myself which one should I do first. Then I thought I can last 3 days without water and three weeks without food So I might as well do water. Finally I started looking for water, so I walked miles and miles and made marks on trees with my pocket knife to know how to get back. Then a couple miles away I could of swore I saw water, and it was awesome pool sparkling water. Then when I was on my way home, I saw a bunny, so I tied my pocket knife to a stick which made a spear and killed the bunny. So after that I walked with the bunny on my shoulders and then finally arrived back at my shelter .When I got back, I thought about making a
I thought to myself, "Surely it won't rain today." Another hour went by and down came the rain. It didn't slack up for hours. Suddenly though, it seemed I had a slight change of luck. Staring into the pouring rain, I saw two eyes glaring at me from the far right bush. Could it be? I might actually kill my first deer! Slowly, he made his way to the middle of the field. He looked to be about a five-point buck. My dad placed his overly large gun up to my shoulder and told me to hold tight. I placed the target on the deer and pulled the trigger. After a big bang, off the deer ran as my shot missed its
We woke up and i was so happy to get out there that i had 30min to spare so i sat there on the couch waiting for my family to get ready. After they got ready we all went to are blinds but i wasn't old enough to hunt
As I was standing in the street holding rocks in my hand, two men asked if I wanted candy, that caught my attention real quick even though I knew I should have ignored them. I walked up to their buggy and was going to talk to them, but before I knew it I was hit with something and thrown into the bottom of a buggy. I tried my hardest to fight back but they overpowered me. We came upon a cave later that night, I was camping with two men, Bill and Sam. This was the first time I had ever gone camping and I was very excited.
We seemed to walk on for miles and miles, but finally my dad stopped me, and slowly said in a soft whisper, “We are here.” We traversed for a couple more feet, until we found the latter. I handed my dad the gun and started climbing up the stand. Getting in and out of the stand is the worst part for me, especially when the latter is slick, and slimy from dew. When we were climbing up, we saw the silhouette of a big deer run by the stand. This is gonna be the day I get my first deer. We got up in the stand, and looked out into the huge field. The first signs of daylight were creeping over the landscape.
It took about a month for me to learn how to fight. He was also a good archer and he also learned me how to use a bow and arrow because the soldiers were many and armed and we just could not fight against without not have any weapons. So I became a good fighter and archer. So one night me and Bill went to the soldiers camp, most of them were sleeping, but when we went to their airplane, some of them that we did not noticed started to shoot at us, we shot back at them with our bows and fought against them. Unfortunately they were to many, they beat me and Bill and took us to their prison. After a few days in prison, the soldiers leader wanted to kill us. In the moment he was going to kill us, we heard gunfire outside and after a moment something
Bang! That was the sound of a gun. Getting closer and closer to a deer skeleton. Then after that I hear laughing and my dad and Uncle are laughing at the deer when it dropped right in its track. We went back to the house to grab the four wheeler. We hooked up the carrier to the back of the four wheeler. We lifted the deer. We took the deer and gutted it. We brought the meat to Gary’s. After the meat was done we took the deer to maple wood so they can cut the deer skeleton out. A couple months later I got It back. It looked awesome. I got home and put it on my shelf. Every time I look at it I remember my deer dropping when I shot it. This Deer Skeleton made my day.
It was getting pretty dark so we had to be quick. Will brought some flashlights for us to use, we asked him why he had them and he said he's afraid to walk in the dark alone. Alex and I just started laughing at the ridiculousness of way just said. I told him the last time I was afraid of the dark was when I was five. It was my first time sleeping without a night-light and I thought there was something in my closet. I kept on crying and crying until my mom came in and showed me that there was nothing there, ever since that I've never been afraid of the dark. We started to descend the hill to search for the ball it was fall however, there were so many piles of leaves that resembled the ball. It would have been hard to find it. At this time it was getting pretty dark so we turned on the flashlights to get a better look. I told my friends they have to stay with me or else they would reach out to giving me $50 to replace the football. 15 minutes had passed and we were getting tired I said “we can come back tomorrow and look for it then.” They said okay that's fine but how are we going to get out, no one had taken directions so we were lost in the forest just the three of us. So we just guessed which way was out and we started walking in that direction. A couple of minutes had passed and Alex tripped on something, his
After that we sat in silence for about 20 minutes until the cold began to nip at my feet and the tips of my fingers which made me very restless but I tried to do my best so I would not scare away the deer. When we hit the 60 minute mark I was bored out of my mind, I thought I would go crazy, but suddenly my Father grabbed my coat and pointed out Words the west side of the field that we were watching. I
