Football is a great sport. I also did football myself. When I was nine years old I joined the Tri County Hurricanes. When I first joined the team I was trash. I did not know how to hold the ball, throw the ball, nor catch the ball. When I was practicing at home and on the field I got better and better every day . So I got back on the field the next month and I out ran people, caught the ball, and I made the QB( Quarterback ) spot and wants we got done all you done all you can smell is the wet grass and all you can hear is the football players hitting each other back to back to back. Then the next day I was doing a football drill and my coach had throw the ball and I had caught the football the wrong way and dislocated my thumb ….. I was yelling and crying. My mom took me to the Emergency room. I went in the room and 30 minutes late the doctor told me said to me ¨ you will be just fine when I pop it …show more content…
All the pain was hilled and I went home from the emergency room and I did not go inside until about seven to nine o'clock ,practicing for our first game. I came back to the field beating and running my hardest, come to find out my coach told me I was the best player on the team for 2012. Then he nailed the mvp sticker on my green and orange jersey. Till this day I still have the same jersey I had when I was nine years old hanging up on my wall. I was #34 a.mahogany (the best player of 2012). It was also my last time smelling and touching the soft grass in 2012 because i was too old and we was going to New Orleans to go to see my family in my home town. But when we came back again and I joined the same team again and got #42 and I did the same thing I did in 2012,but that was no good because my team was not helping me do anything like tackling, blocking, not running. I had to do it all myself and we did not make it to the playoffs because they do not know how to play like a team but if they did what I did practice at home they will get
I was nine-years old in 1952, and it was on a brisk August Sunday afternoon when my Dad took me to my very first 49ers game at Kezar Stadium for an exhibition contest against the Cardinals, from Chicago. As I remember the weather was overcast and the temperature a cool 60 degrees.
It all started in 7th grade, our football team was at the time undefeated and we were in our second to last game. We were up by quite a bit and our team was feeling sanguine, our coach didn’t put too much thought into it, and called a run up the middle with our star running back Michael Lundy. He Got the ball and ran for Three short yards then suddenly tripped over a pile of angry, impassioned, irritable teenage boys. Michael had landed wrong and you could see by his expressions he was hurt, his dad came on the field and helped carry him off. We were forced to continue the game without Michael, which wasn’t all that bad because there were only three minutes left in the game. We the Philomath 7th grade braves had won our second to last game
It was a nice day so I wanted to see if my friends could play, I rode my bike to Alex and Tony’s house. I got to the door and rang the bell.
Well for me, football is my top favorite sport. When I was in school, I had a problem with authority, and teachers would often make me mad. I tried hard to control my aggression, frustration, and anger. I jumped into drugs and cigarettes to fights and gangs. Because nothing I tried worked, I went to football tryouts. I felt happy and excited for the first time in a long time; I eventually got on the field and ran and ran.
Football wasn’t just a sport for me. It shaped my life in a lot of different ways it helped me become the person I am today. I started playing football when I was twelve years old when I started play it became the best sport ever. I started learning how to do a lot of different stuff on the football field. Football allowed me to take my anger out on the field.
Football is a game of passion, a time when nothing else matters and the only thing that matters is going out there having fun and fighting for the guy next to you. Football has always been something that I loved and had a wild passion for. I’ve made friendships and memories to last a life time and I can always be grateful that football did that for me. Now of course I’ve had some bad memories during football as well, I remember walking out of the film room on the last day of spring ball and having Coach Antle grab me and say “Gage, I think I want to try you at a new position, I want to put you at defensive end. We need you more there and we think you can really excel there.” I remember being so furious, I had played linebacker ever since I could remember and now the last day of spring ball my senior year everything was about to change.
My stomach tightened. I had never played free safety before. The ball was snapped, and I watched as the tailback widened out to receive the pitch. Never had I felt such an adrenaline rush.
His little legs churned as fast as they could driving him straight at his opponent. I sensed Matthew wasn’t too sure of himself since he had never expressed any confidence playing our football games or in practices; but this time, the young defender responsible for guarding him was smaller, and Matt had the advantage. He staccato stepped and faked running to the right just as we had planned. His opponent accepting the feigned shift, ran in the misdirection. Suddenly, Matt was all alone in the end-zone; and the football, a perfectly thrown pass designed for Matt, was spiraling toward his small opened hands. The ball hit his palms and bounced skyward, but Matt quickly reached up and grabbed the football securing his touchdown. The families in the stands cheered, and Matt returned to the sideline with a smile and a little more confidence. I coach Matt’s third grade 7 on 7 football team, and this is my third year of competitive football league coaching. Coaching is a luxury I afford myself with my limited free time, and it brings me a lot of satisfaction.
This is probably the most popular and used play in football. This play requires that the running back runs off the outside hip of the tackle.
I never expected my life to turn out this way!! 2020 Darren Clayton enters the NFL draft to contend against top players most teams wanted. I was surprised that I had made it that far.Now imam take you back to my childhood. I was only 10 years old in 2010 I wasn’t really a football lover, I was mostly a basketball fan. I mainly played basketball and watched it more than football. I never played football in my life the only sports I played was basketball and baseball but I never pursued it to the fullest it was just something I would do in the mean time to kill sometime in elementary school and middle school. In middle school I got curious about football so I joined the flag football team and played at an tournament against other people. At the tournament we played three teams, we only won
Do you ever wonder how to play a sport called American football. Well if so, then you've come to the right person. On a football team you must give it all and then some, you can never give up/quit. On a team you don't say that they are your team you call them your brothers. You give them your best they’ll give you their absolute best. This is where the quote “ I got your number I got your back” comes in.
I could say that football was the best way of getting rid of my stress in school and other personal stresses than any other ways. It also made a stable relationship with my friends in school not verbally but physically from football. When I got closer to the students in school, some friends of mine informed and demonstrated me ways to defend and rush in many different styles. Due to learning many different styles of defending and rushing, I was able to recognize naturally what kind of movement should made by all positions in order to make a successful play like in baseball when the catcher gives the signal to the pitcher. Even though we weren’t the champions at the state's level or the best players in the school history, the importance was that my team and I have enjoyed and ardented playing football. I learned that football is a sport; you have to try your best and never give up with your team, even in hard trainings and number of loses of games. Personally, I would express football as a fight against 2 castles of an country, the defensive line is the wall of the castle that is defending and offensive line is also a wall but it is full of army of soldiers who is trying break through
My whole body is completely numb as I set my feet in the torn up, muddy battlefield known as the gridiron. I glance up to the scoreboard we’re up by 3 with 30 seconds to go. My chest is pounding through my shoulder pads and a tingling sensation runs through my arms. “It’s fourth and goal, if they hold them here they’ll win the game!” comes over the loud speaker as I hear hundreds of screaming fans cheer. I can barely see from the sweat dripping down my eyes as I look over to the sideline to get the play call. Coach calls 43 Mike Will Cover 2. This is it. This is what I have worked for. My hands are shaking with anticipation as the quarterback starts his cadence. “Down!” I scan the lineman. “Set!” I know this play it is coming right for me.
Stepping onto the field, all eyes on me, the crowd chanting, “block that kick! block that kick!”. That’s the only thing I remember from our 25-22 loss over Sun Valley my sophomore year. As a kicker on the football team you have a hard job. It is 10% physical and 90%mental. Having the teams trust is a real confidence boost, but after that night, I wasn’t sure if I had that anymore. Crying, a quiet locker room, not being able to sleep, all of the sad faces. That’s not what the end of a football game is supposed to look like. “Maybe I’ll get over it”, I asked myself. Little did I know this would help shape the future of not only my football career but also life in
I just got it last night and I have already gone through it. What am I going to do? I go through all of it like it is candy. I need to start pacing myself or this is going to get out of hand. I get more tomorrow but if anyone found out, it would be bad. I need to make sure no one is around this time. Last time, I almost got caught. Maybe I could get him to give it to me before the football game.
