Fear-stricken, I fled into the night, terrified by what could have come from her creation. “How could such a vile thing bring humankind good?” I asked myself, “ How could such a being not have detrimental consequences? As I left the patio, I thought about Dad’s friend, Luc. He was a hunter and a fisherman, and I asked him once why he didn’t have the bumper sticker ‘Guns don’t kill. People do.’ He said because it was a lie. Guns gave people the courage to commit crimes or kill. I told Samuel Luc’s story. He thought for a moment and said that’s why Americans fear gun laws. Suddenly a piercing cry came from my bedroom. I darted up the stairs following the cry of such extreme agony. The creature rose and began to speak. "You have come a long way, overcome several trials, just to gain your abilities. My question for you is...why?" Alex was a bit startled by the creatures horrendous voice, but Alex stood tall and answered. "My journey has been long and challenging, my abilities have made me a stronger being, I plan to extinguish the evil that haunts this world, but I couldn't do it just being human. My journey has brought me here, where I will acquire my final piece of the puzzle." The creature stood in awe at the young man, and he seemed to be impressed.
