I see what happened now, when I pasted the source it gave the option to just keep text only. This took the italics off since I did not keep the format. Thank you, I am really trying hard. I am kind of a perfectionist with my grades so I am trying to keep my 4.0. This is my first time ever taking summer courses and I am learning that I probably shouldn’t have signed up for 9 hours with a child because it is pretty overwhelming.
On June 27, 2017, my summer camp had started it’s adventure. I went to a City called Oxnard, 2 hours away from Los Angeles and 30 minutes past Malibu beach. As we arrived. I had went with all my friends growing up. Monika, Silvia, Rachel, Julie, Mya, Cathy, and Mary.It was around 9:15 pm and we decided to head down and eat at Panda Express. The teachers decided we couldn’t have any meat since this was a church trip and it was fasting time. But since everyone was hungry we decided to go behind the teachers backs and then my friend, Monika, came up with a brilliant idea.
When I was first notified that I had to attend the Summer Transition Program, I was upset. I thought that it was a complete waste of my summer. Now, I don’t want to imagine what would have happen to me if I wasn’t part of the program. Deep down I was afraid of moving all the way to Virginia. I knew no one and was all alone. Thanks to the Transition Program, I made life long friendships and acquaintances, got acclimated to living in virginia and have some of the best experience of my life.
I am going to tell you a little bit of what I did this summer. School just got out and the real work begun, I started work on the first day of summer. I also played in a golf league in Gregory this summer with my dad.
For the longest time, my surroundings were in my home in Round Rock, Texas. From August of 2015 through May of 2016, I was home-schooled online for my last year of middle school. Due to this arrangement, I tended to stay indoors more often and speak with only my family members. I had no real friends, so I became socially isolated and remained that way throughout the summer.
There were many things I enjoyed about my summer. I learned some valuable lessons and had a lot of fun. This was my last official summer before I become an adult; next summer will be filled with college preparations so I had to have fun while i still had the chance. Over my break I worked, I spent time with friends, and I also started driving.
Throughout my eighth grade year I’ve learned many skills that will benefit me in the future, specifically high school. All of my classes have contributed to teaching me these skills in order to have a prepared for high school. The skills I will be addressing are time management, organization, and the importance of research. When it came to assignments, using all of these skills were important if I wanted to have the best quality work and have it in on time. These are the skills that I’ve learned this year that will help me in high school.
It was shocking to me, but this happened to me while in high school. Actually, I was in summer school, and I just didn’t feel like going to class. Well, someone hadn’t prepared for his oral report and my parents would’ve made me go to school if I had stayed home, so I planned to spend the day going to school but hiding next door at an empty vacant school (the school was an older section of my school, which was be torn down). I brought food, water, and some books to read and hunkered down at some old park benches hidden away from the world.
What we learn as a teen can be difficult sometimes. Different people learn to be a teen many different ways either boy or girl. As a teen I have learned that you can easily get into trouble, or go through some break ups, or maybe even losing someone you love, but there will always be an adventure waiting for you.
My summer has been pretty great! I have been mostly helping out my mom in her garden, she has like a million roses that she grew her self and we grow blueberries, raspberries, red current, goose berries, black berries, tomatoes, cucumbers, and pears. If im not helping out around the house im either hanging out with friends or practicing. I practice 5 hours a day if I can. I practice by stretching 30 mins then 2 hours of soccer, then 1 hour of muscle building exercises, but after that I have to practice sprints, 100 meters, 200 meters and 400 meters 20 times each.
What I learned from my teammate, Hannah, was that Alce and Calixta actually met in Assumption and fell in love. However, they could not be together due to their very different social classes. I also learned that Bobint and Bibi were terrified to go home and face Calixta because of the way that Bibi looked. Surprisingly, Calixta was actually happy knowing they made it home safely.
“I think I will go as well,” Danny says in his quiet and peaceful way. “I need to meditate.”
There are many small things that you learn in a classroom that you do not think will help you in any way. However, things that you first learned in the classroom will be useful when you are in conversations or you are arguing a certain point. An example is the debate activity we did in class which many people took lightly and they really did not appreciate. I will be addressing 3 things I have learned this year and how they are useful when it comes to the real world and the classroom.
Introduction: Have you ever wondered your BFF could betray you. I enjoyed all those moments but remembering those moments which prifty me. Playing basketball and football with rapid breeze passes us, ignoring everything that goes moves us. No one would ever break us. He was unique, mysterious, observing people and questioning of everything. Didn't care about what does the world said about him. But when he betrayed me, I didn’t believe it, he stood against bigger kids, just for me. I cried and cried, conjecturing what did I do fallacious
Summer school was as fun as it sounded, really it was boring, and we learned a lot, participated every day. So what did we do in summer school, what did we do every single day, and yes it was very scheduled. First we did annotations on a text, then we wrote on a little program called myaccess and then last but not least we read an unstoppable and then again wrote about it. Imagine doing that every single day of summer school, we learned but it was kind of boring sometimes just sometimes we did something out of the norm, like watch a movie, but then yet again we had to write again, about setting plot, and characters. So what is it we all learned, did we learn enough or do we have write yet again.
Amund gingerly transferred the ice-blended green tea latte into a plastic cup and handed it to the customer. "Have a nice day!" he said with a forced smile as they grabbed their drink and left. Only 30 minutes left until my shift ends, Amund thought to himself in anticipation.
