Along with health being a main benefit to participating in a sport, many personal skills are developed within an individual. Communication and social skills develop as a teen becomes more involved in a sport. Teamwork is considered a great example and is naturally learned through participating in team sports and games (Castle, Glenn, 2011-2013).
