Personal Statement: Top Five Strengths

You asked me to look into career information. Here are the results of my search.

According to the Myers-Briggs quiz, I am an intuitive, a feeler, a judger and am neither an extravert nor an introvert. The two jobs assigned to me were the teacher (ENFJ) and the counselor (INFJ). Those categorized into being the teacher are idealistic organizers, focus on values and visions, are passionate about possibilities for others, and feel personally responsible for making the world a better place. As for the counselor, those people have a strong sense of personal integrity, drive to help others realize their potential, are creative and dedicated, and have the ability to intuit others’ emotions and motivations. The personal strengths inventory was very accurate in its’ assessment. My top five strengths are capacity for love (97.5%), forgiveness (95%), spirituality (95%), optimism (91.75%), and enthusiasm (90%). I am interested in going into either naturopathy or osteopathy. Both of these are filed under “alternative” medicine and do not follow the mainstream views that one would find in a hospital. And because the majority of the U.S. goes to hospitals, it is the minority that practices these forms of medicine. Finding articles written by those who are against naturopathy and osteopathy, I discovered that their arguments contained the same accusations for both fields. They are not “evidence-based” and are considered to be pseudoscience, meaning a collection a beliefs or practices that are mistakenly regarded as science. Additional arguments are that the treatments are useless and ridiculous, the fields are considered philosophical more than scientific, and even that some of the doctors in these areas are simply not “real”
