What I learned is you can set a goal and tell yourself it’s easy but in reality it’s not. It’s expensive you would have to work really hard in life. I learned you would have to get things you need first not what you want. Well you can get what you want but until your settle down and have money left over. Then you can get things you
Pursing a career as a medical doctor is an opportunity for me to mentor youth in underserved populations. As a child, I was raised in the low income, urban community of Roxbury, MA. Although not as notorious today, the neighborhood had garnered negative attention for its high crime rates. My mother emigrated from Haiti and raised me as a single parent. Due to our financial circumstance, Roxbury became our permanent residence. I have always felt there was something lacking in Roxbury in comparison to other towns I visited. My teenage years were largely spent in the suburban town of Stoneham where I attended high school. There was a literal difference in air quality and a psychology contrast in future prospects. While native students of
There are few certainties of what one will encounter during life. A common joke names two: death and
When I took my USC tour before my freshman year, I fell in love with the campus and became very interested in exploring all the opportunities presented by the ambassador. I fell in love with the beauty of the Horseshoe and greatly appreciated the generosity and politeness of the people I met. I want to inspire prospective students to fall in love with USC as I did. I would also like to explore this opportunity to develop as a person and make good friends in the process. It gives me great pride to tell people I attend the University of South Carolina and cheer on my team at every football game. When people ask me why I went to school so far away, I generally stick to three answers. The weather is great, the sports are amazing, and the people who comprise the University are fantastic.
At this moment, I work a full-time job and attending to Broward College for Registered Nurse, while living with my parents. I have been working for an Endocrinologist Doctor for three and a half years now. My family are extremely happy for me the fact that I’m trying so hard to complete my future goals and they are giving me guidance to go above and beyond. My home is in located in Sunrise, FL, I have lived here for twenty-five years of my life so far. Also, I just started in August of 2016 for the pre-requisite courses to be accepted in the Registered Nurse program. While employed with a full-time job, and attending to college it will take me up to four years to attain my pre-requisites. In fact, April of 2017, the doctor I work for will be
Over the past summer, as well as the past 5 summers, I have worked at a place called Camp Vineyard. It is a fantastic summer camp run out of the Vineyard Chattanooga church where they bring in kids from over 20 different churches across the southeast and give them a place where they can experience God in a traditional overnight summer camp way. From the many fun activities such as the ridiculous games such as giant multi-ball soccer to the neat groups, which allow kids to build rockets and shoot them into the air and archery, there is never a dull moment throughout the day. In both the mornings and the evenings we have sessions where kids learn from a couple different speakers and have a time of worship. Finally, one night every week we also have a ministry where in the past kids have learned how to pray for others, sought both physical and spiritual healing, and have been spoken to by the other kids around them. It truly is quite an experience to see over 400 kids from 6th grade to 12th grade praying for each other and speaking into their lives who some have been changed forever because of this.
This semester has gone by quickly and within this short time, I have already learned much more than I did before. It is now time to write a Portfolio Essay, an essay detailing what I learned and how I have improved my writing skills in English 102. This semester I wrote four essays: Informative Report, Academic Argument, Academic Analysis, and Proposal. With each essay, I displayed my strengths and weaknesses and improved them through teaching, drafting, and revising. This Portfolio Essay will reflect on the growth my writing and I have undergone through this semester, as well as areas I could still use improvement on, by reviewing my own work.
Over the past week, what am I learning in the class is where I have to put in mind the discipline strategies when I work with children. In addition, it is also important to support and appreciate the efforts of the children in their work by giving informational comments. Informational comments will help children to reinforce their work and to try experiment things in different ways. They can also learn vocabulary words depending on how and what the teacher will say.
What I learned from my partner's answer was she doesn’t receive any forms that relays any information about the curriculum that’s being learned in her daughter’s classroom. She typically knows what her child is learning because she sits down every night to go over her daughter’s homework and review together, apart from the fact that she needs to sign the homework for the teacher every day. She confessed that sometimes she struggles with the homework because she doesn’t remember using some of the methods, in the homework while she was in school herself. When occasions like this happen she tends to google or YouTube the answers. Like mentioned earlier she’s the one who puts most of the efforts to communicate with the teacher. She believes if
19 years. Years that have been full of experiences, some ordinary and others not so much. All of these experiences along with a number of other influences who have been a part of them has led me to who I am today. With the help of these influences I have been fortunate enough to discover my voice and why I have it. My influences, values, engagements, and opportunities have all contributed to my political identity. My outlook on my beliefs and political development continues to form with each new experience I encounter, and it is my hope that these will help me fully evolve.
College is about building skill, so I have taken advantage of enrolling in calculus AB is build up my math skills before college. As this would prepare me when I start college develop my knowledge for my major. With math and science being my strong suit, I am interested in majoring in engineering with requiring high math skills. I have taken the opportunity develop my math skill early so I am not unprepared for this major as it is best to have prior knowledge as it will help me learn and understand it better. Plus, I am able to save money and time reallocate these resources to something important in college thus I can take even more classes related to my major. I remember the first day of taking advantage of this opportunity.
I don't know if life wants to give me more experience about what I'm learning in class, but I have to add this. Today December 2, 2015 at 12:45pm I got a ticket for leaving my car at the time they were cleaning the street. My fine is $74.00 they give me 21 days to pay that if not I'm going to have to pay more. I can not believe I got a ticket, this is my first ticket and I feel terrible. Growing up sucks now I'm going to be extra careful and read the
Yes my decision would be the same. This is because every week I would lose $125 a week from what I make. Although, I would make $120 per day and a total of $600 per week, it would be less than hiring Jim. I would really be making $475 a week because of the renting and gas fees. So I would still go with Jim because I make the most profit with him.
I was born on May 14, 1994 in Houston, Texas. When I was born, I was premature, as I was delivered 6 weeks early. I weighed four pounds and was considered a miracle baby because my lungs were completely developed, which is unusual for babies born early. I stayed in the ICU in an incubator for 16 days, until my parents were allowed to take me home.

The choices we make early in life have an enormous impact on our future. I have always known that I wanted to directly impact people’s lives. My personal experiences have had a large impact on my motivation to accomplish all my dreams. In the future, I would love to influence another generation of students to soar for their dreams.
