Marxist perspectives central aims are to provide an empirically well-founded description of phenomenon, to get the social implications; and to illuminate the historical process through which this phenomenon came to exist in the real world. Positivism is based on a notion that science is an only way to learn about the truth and this perspective belongs to epistemology which is denoted as philosophy of knowing. Additionally, Marxist perspective concentrates on the study of facts of a subject, and then to draws out themes and its connections to make conclusions whereas positivist perspective focuses on deductions from axioms and on the development of ideas through statistical logic. Much as this did not have access to modern techniques such as statistical analysis which provided the basis for sound research, it maintained the use of empirical data extensively wherever possible.
