Whether going to college or going straight out into the world is what many face as high school comes to an end. When making a decision there are many factors involved. Do they know what they want to do? Does what they want to do require a degree? Whereas the cost and debt of college would put them in is unnecessary, going to college is worth it given that college gives better benefits in the long run, are more likely to get a job, and it gives an experience that you will never forget.

Most jobs only require a high school diploma, but who would be better for a job, a person that has not done anything since high school or someone who went to college and took courses for that job? Although some people may argue this, it is true and even later in life the skills that were learned in college come in handy in real life.

College for most people is there first step into the real world. Most people get a job for the first time to living on their own. This is a time to make friends that will be your friends for a lifetime. College is a “choice” as Dale J. Stephens says, and he is right but going to college will make someone that much more influenced throughout life. Even the cost is what people let stop them from going but in the end everything cost money in this world and this money is using to better yourself.

People may oppose to college because of the crippling debt it leaves you in. IN an article by Dale J. Stephens he claims, “ I argue that going to school and graduating with an average of $26,000-plus in debt is at least as risky in today’s uncertain job market” even if this were true people with degrees are most likely to be hired before those who have “Life Experience” rather than college.
