Abortion is a controversial topic that has snaked its way through our nation. Some people claim that a “woman's decision about her own body is paramount”, while others believe that a “baby's life trumps all.” Pro-abortion and anti-abortion individuals have never achieved solidarity. People who support anti-abortion disregard a woman’s reason for having one and how having a child may affect their life. Society is focused on a life that has not seen the world. They don’t realize that a woman may not be financially stable, mentally stable, or healthy enough to bear a child. All three articles capture the idea that women should have the right to an abortion.

Imagine this: a woman learns she is about to become a new mother. Words cannot describe the amount of love and joy she already feels for her soon to be child. She now knows her fetus will depend on her body until it is born. It will need her in order to grow and become healthy enough to survive in the harsh world outside of the womb. But, let us imagine this new mother is a smoker; she now has a decision to make for herself that affects her baby directly. She could continue to smoke and potentially give birth to a baby with complications like birth defects, or she could quit smoking for the sake of her baby’s health and personally manage the side effects accompanying quitting. The deliberate ending of a pregnancy is known as an abortion. There are good and bad sides to abortions. Abortion is considered by some as murder, but others say otherwise. All three branches of our federal government have taken part in the discussion of whether abortion should be legalized or not.

I’d like to discuss something that should be a totally uncontroversial topic. Unfortunately, it has become a bit controversial over time. Let’s be honest for a minute, if you think about it, over a billion couples will have sex with one another and rightfully so. My philosophy is that all these men and women should be free to decide for themselves whether they want to or not conceive a child. Whether or not they want to start a family. They have the right to make that decision for themselves. In making that decision, they should be able to use one of many forms of birth control methods that exist. One form of contraception I want to discuss is sterilization.

Today in American an overwhelming amount of human lives are terminated through abortion. Many women today are getting pregnant often through unprotected sex, rape and other things. Once these women realize that they don’t want the child because of various reasons, they result to the method of abortion. After researching for countless hours what I found was disturbing. I oppose abortion because it is considered murder in some aspects; there safer approaches to this situation such as adoption, being responsible and not having unprotected sex, and considering foster care. Sadly, most women choose to have an abortion and are unaware of the dangers and consequences they may come across. In today’s world abortion is a big issue for woman concerning the fact that for years it had been said that abortion should not be legal, but some people believe it should. Many people feel aborting an unwanted child, or killing an unwanted child should be against the law and which I feel it should be illegal. Many people don't' even know what an abortion is, or who can receive abortions. I feel a woman's body is her own, and can do whatever she wants with it, but I also think that babies life shouldn’t be taken away either just because of someone’s decision. So therefore I’m against it.

In today's world it is sometimes hard to have your own set of beliefs. Many people push their opinion on everyone else and do not want to accept others opinions. The United States of America has one common belief. Before the 1960s, the common belief was in God and the Bible. In the 1960s, people started to stray from that idea. The common belief is now is in evolution. Most people accept evolution to be true and right, but I do not. Americans’ base values are not based on the Bible anymore because of the growing acceptance of abortions, the push to legalize gay marriage, and the teaching of evolution.

Women get shamed and judged for even considering an abortion and people never ask the woman their reason behind it. Abortion is not a form of birth control; Abortion is the process of removing your child from the womb before it's due date knowing that it will not survive outside the uterus. Women get abortions to end their pregnancies. Some people call abortions "induced miscarriages". People say that women go and get abortions and act like it's no big deal, killing your child that you created is kinda a big deal and affects the woman greatly. "What could be worse than a mother killing her own child before she even gets to hold it in her arms?" is something often heard.

Wade is responsible for changing the life of millions of people worldwide.
