The reason that I would like to run a duck lodge and guide duck hunts is because duck hunting is what I am most passionate about. There are thousands of duck lodges located all across North America. Duck hunting has increased in popularity over the past 15 years mostly due in part to the popularity of it on T.V. With that being said this has caused a large increase in the number of lodges being created, to be able to keep up with the demand. Jobs in this field are found all over North America, they range from Alaska all the way through Canada, and as well as all over through South America. Jobs relating to this career are mostly found around high trafficked areas of migrating waterfowl, places like Stuttgart, Arkansas (known as the rice and duck capital of the world), Salt Lake City, Utah, around many small towns in North Dakota, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. General duties of this field would be equipment maintenance, time management, farming, earth moving, and lodge maintenance. Specific duties of this job would be agricultural management for waterfowl, conservation efforts for waterfowl, and being successful when guiding other people and ensuring clients safety. Hours of work ordinarily required for this job could vary, duck guiding and hunting is very seasonal, most states only allow a general 60 day season. During those 60 days you could be up 2 hours before sunrise and not going to sleep till after the sun sets. Several questions could determine the
“Hunting and racing are a lot alike. Holding that steering wheel and holding that rifle both mean you better be responsible.”-Dale Earnhardt. Earnhardt’s quote is saying like racing, hunting requires safety. Before the hunt can ever happen there are safety precautions that must be learned. Hunting safety is essential to protect not only the hunter but also the community. People fall victim to hunting accidents every year due to not practicing proper firearm or hunting blind safety.
Hunting nowadays is becoming more popular around the world. There are many different types of animals that you can
Many people have misconceptions about hunting. One such misconception is that hunting is easy and any person can go sit in the woods and wait for an animal to cross the hunter’s path. However, people who believe this are sorely mistaken. Hunting is not just sitting in the woods with a rifle; there are many other aspects that must be considered. An individual must have all preparations complete, purchase or gather the equipment needed, and know what to listen for while in the woods.
In America, deer are an animal hunted widely throughout our country. Each winter citizens have mixed emotions about the sport. Some say its barbaric and cruel, while others argue that it’s beneficial and useful. Although people may say hunting is cruel and barbaric, have they ever thought about the upsides to be gained from hunting? While this is a topic that can be argued viciously back and forth, I believe hunters win the argument. Deer hunting keeps the population down, protects farmers’ crops, boosts economic sales, betters a person’s mental health, and teaches lifelong lessons on respect. These are just a few of the amazing benefits that can be gained from hunting.
Paragraph 1: To begin with, respect is a big role in duck hunting. Not only for the animals in the area, but non hunters, the environment, the law and other hunters. Respecting the animals include; only taking what you need (bag limits of max 10 ducks a day), using the right equipment effectively for a humane result and looking after your hunting dogs. Sharing skills and tips with other hunters
The biggest misconception is that game wardens spend all their time hunting and fishing. The good wardens and agents have no time for this as they are in the field managing the other nimrods out there during hunting season. I hunted and fished much more before I became a game warden, not at all after I became one.
Sometimes the hunters even like to stuff the animals they killed so they can mount them in their house to show off. These hunters hunt all sorts of animals, not just one that you can usually find in the US. In other countries, it's more often than in the US to find poachers. These are hunters that kill endangered animals for the bragging rights and for the thrill of the kill.
Have you ever enjoyed being outdoors or just enjoyed the wildlife? Or even just wanted to enjoy a job that you would love and not stress over? If you have, then I suggest you being a Game Warden! My future career in life I would like to become a Game Warden. A Game Warden is a person who enforces the laws on fish and wildlife. In this paper, I will be discussing some objectives you need in order in becoming a Game Warden. The three objectives will be, what a Game Warden is and what all he has to do for a PT. What the surfaces and species a Game Warden protects and what they need in their studies. Then what kind of money different types of Game Wardens make.
Hunting is a sport that men and women around the world have enjoyed for centuries. However, today there is so much controversy over whether it is ethical or beneficial for animals to be hunted. People who do not support hunting are not aware of the benefits it offers for not only the hunter, but also the animal population. There are hunting seasons, specific types of guns the hunters can use, the time sportsmen can hunt, and many other rules that keep sportsmen from hunting unfairly or overhunting. Sportsmen must buy license and tags to hunt legally, which keeps many people from hunting. The people who go against these regulations face heavy fines and in some cases, jail time. People who do not support hunting probably are not aware that because
Geographic Trends: The demand for Fish and Game Wardens are a lot higher in places that have more hunters and more wilderness for people to roam. Places like Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa demand a lot more people than a place like Florida or Minnesota. In Michigan, you can make an annual salary of $57,000 compared to a place like Indiana where you would make $50,000. The more demand, the more money rewarded.
Anybody feel like voluntarily waking up at the crack of dawn just to sit in the middle of the woods in a blind and probably see nothing for hours on end? Wait, what if I add that it’ll be in the middle of winter so the temperature will not only be freezing, but you’ll also have a frost bite approved wind slapping at your face? No takers? I figured that would be the response. You’d be surprised though, because when I was around five or six years old freezing temperatures and being stranded in the woods sounded like paradise, especially with my best friend, my Dad, was right there with me.
Before you start hunting you have to take a hunting safety course, it is to the ages 6 and older. What you do is hunting experts tell you all about the safety and tricks of hunting. After about a week of going you have to take a test, it is a fifty question quiz and you have to get a 40/50 or up to get your hunting licence. To get your licence you have to go to a store that provides it like Walmart, Bass Pro, etc… What the person does is when you pass the test you get this little ticket. You give the person the ticket and they put you in the system really. You should already know from the beginning, but you have to choose if you want to use a rifle or a bow in arrow or both. Either way you can still hunt.
Hunting is the practice of pursuing wildlife in order to kill it. Individuals who hunt do so for a variety of reasons while wildlife activists oppose hunters’ views and practices. Many people in rural areas of the United States hunt in order to harvest lean, organic, healthy meat for personal consumption. Some individuals hunt because it is tradition and a significant part of their heritage. Others choose to hunt as a means to escape the ins and outs of a chaotic society while taking in the serenity of the great outdoors in a therapeutic manner. Some hunters enjoy hunting for the thrill and the challenge of the chase. Other reasons people hunt include trophy hunting, travel to exotic locations, spending quality time with family and friends, and wildlife conservation. Individuals who are against hunting typically argue that hunting is inhumane and is considered cruelty to animals. Due to the benefits of properly managed ethical hunting, hunting should be legal within the United States.
My Business is called Bucks and Ducks Guide Service. I am planning to start a guiding service specializing in White-tail deer, and waterfowl. My goal for Bucks and Ducks guide service is to make hunting enjoyable for people who don’t have the resources available to them to make a good, successful hunt. Bucks and Ducks guide service is run by myself, and my co-owners Brendon, and Camden. We have a combined 10+ years of experience chasing these beautiful animals.
Although poaching is an illegal act, it is still a growing problem in the world because it is making the extinction of various animals more probable. Not only it cruel, but it affects the environment and ecosystem where these animals reside. Although various people, usually trophy hunters or those uninformed, argue that it isn’t that big of a problem, there are realities to it that won’t be stopped unless we act upon it and bring awareness of the situation.
