People who carry or own guns may not have the proper training to wield their weapons. They may be prone to have mental and emotional instability, and may not carry out the responsibility that comes with gun ownership.

Gun control is a vital necessity to the welfare of our nation. Many people out there are supporting the “anti- gun control cause” with the excuse of “self-defense”. I believe that not everyone will handle a gun for self-defense. The possession of a gun is a sign of power. One of the bigger ambitions that one has is to have power and the easier it is to obtain a gun; the faster a criminal will gain power over an innocent person. Guns have numerous uses besides killing your fellow man. Hunting is a big reason to own a weapon. Across the country, people hunt game; small and big. Some people might see this as a cruel act, but in most states the White Tailed Dear is amazingly overpopulated. Not many complain when you kill a cow to eat a hamburger, so it shouldn't be an issue to go hunting. People also enjoy shooting guns at targets. Let's face it - if you're in your home at night with an intruder in the house, who will act faster, 911 or a firearm in the hands of a trained user? The answer is obvious. In an emergency situation, a firearm is almost an essential. One might argue that the odds of you being held up in your own house are slim; well so are the odds of a gun related death. If a gun user is properly trained, a gun can and would protect people in case of an emergency.

There are a lot of people that don’t feel safe out there in the world when they are by themselves.The people need to have the right to Bear Arm in order protect themselves from all of the crazy violence that happens everyday out in the world. People need to have the right to bear arms for self defense in order to protect themselves from home invaders, and robberies, and rapist. The people of the Unites States have the right to feel safe in the world and they should not have to be scared if a shooting is going to happen or not. There has been a lot of random shooting throughout America, for instance a shooting just happen up in Organ at a community college, after the shooter killed and injured some of the college students in Organ he committed suicide.There is a lot more shootings that has happen in this past year, there has been 18 mass shootings in 2015 alone, According to the washingtonpost.com. So the people should have the Right to Bear Arms in the United States of America.

Imagine, it is August of 1789 when and James Madison has just finished and sent to the 12 states for quick approval. Our 10 amendments were born, in particular, the second one, the right to bear arms. It's now 2017 and we are trying to take away that amendment, and it’s wrong. As Americans it is our right to have guns, it's in our culture, and to take it away is to take a cave from a bear. This is because restrictions on gun ownership should be kept to a minimum because guns protect us, we need guns for self-defense and home security, give us a source of food like hunting, and it is our right as an American to own them

Do you want your kids in school with guns? The debate over arming teachers has been above and beyond what everyone thought how big it would be. Many believe that arming teachers is one of the best things to do about the school shooting situations. But why? That’s just adding another armed person into the situation. And that is why i’m here, to help you understand why this is the wrong decision for this country.

The reason I don’t believe that teachers should be able to carry guns because students would feel unsafe not safer. I am a student attending Wicomico high school as a freshman and I would not feel safer with knowing a teacher of mine is carrying a sidearm. I feel this way because I think teachers would use it the wrong way possibly starting something that could be prevented if the teachers did not have a sidearm.

At the two Chicago airports, Aviation Police are not allowed to carry guns. It’s a long standing policy that prohibits aviation police from carrying a gun. O’Hare and Midway airports policy is basically saying they want the aviation police to avoid becoming part of the response because it makes it more dangerous for themselves and the public because of the large population at each one of these airports, I disagree. The aviation police officers are demanding that they should have guns to protect themselves and citizens at the airports in case of an attack. Some people may think that having guns in the cockpit of a commercial airline would be dangerous, however it is quite the contrary. For instance, many airplane hijackings can be prevented with just one gun. However, some people are probably against pilots being heavily armed, but most would like them to have at least a handgun. As a matter of fact, I think arming pilots is a great idea. Therefore, arming pilots is a great idea because it keeps passengers safe, stops tragedies, and pilots will be trained to handle a gun.

Many people against arming pilots have several reasons to support their objections. One is that a stray bullet could penetrate the skin on the aircraft and cause a catastrophic pressurization loss, which could lead to a crash. However, that is simply not true. The fuselage of an aircraft is made of aluminum alloys, punctures to its surface from a bullet, will only make a hole, and the aircraft’s pressurization system would compensate for the small hole.
