Plagiarism, a form of using or copying another’s work. It is completely immoral and wrong to do because you are taking credit for another’s hard work in which you didn’t put forth any effort. Taking someone’s work word for word or even just summarizing what someone said is considered plagiarism, if you yourself did not come up with the complete thought you should either sight it or do not use it. It is however okay to have a similar thought to another’s work, but with today’s technology there are many websites you can go to and check to make sure you didn’t accidently plagiarize. Compared to a hundred years ago, many teenagers were not drinking alcohol or doing reckless acts. Young people were definitely not getting as many tattoos or piercings back then either. One way to be original is to brainstorm with techniques, such as mind mapping and story webs. Another way is to try and put it in your own words, switch out the boring words and use new and exciting words. You can also try to do some research on that topic to find new information that the previous writer has not included in their story.
