The New PHS The new Plainville High School has finished rebuilding. There has been many changes to the new school. It took them some time but it all came out just as planned. All the students at PHS are very excited to see all the new changes in their school, and can not wait to start the new year with a new school. The students think that this year will be one of the best years they have had at PHS. One of the biggest changes that any of the students like is the new football field. They added a new turf to the field. Also new bleachers and scoreboard. The football program also had changes to their practice field. They regrew the grass and bought new equipment for the field. The football players are excited for the season to get started. …show more content…
The rooms are bigger and have better seating. The staff really like the bigger rooms most of all. The students like the bigger lockers that have been put in. The students like that there is more room to put your things in the lockers. Many students even said that it was better than the new football field. At PHS many of the students and staff like basketball. So for many of them the new gym is the best change of the new school. The new gym is much bigger than the old one. The gym also has new floors and better seating for all the fans. The school also bought new uniforms for the players and new basketballs for the team. The team and the students at PHS are very excited for their season to start. The change that everyone likes is the entrance to the new PHS. The entrance is made of marble stone and has a big cardinal statue in the front lawn. The entrance is much bigger and has better doors for the students to walk in. Inside the front hall has a new cardinal head painted on the floor and all the achievements over the years on the walls. The office is much bigger than it was in the old school, which allows more students and staff to be in there at one
Mark Strand once said,” Old ways won’t open new doors.” Strand meant that doing things the old way or having old things doesn’t give an opportunity for new beginnings and better things or ideas. The article titled “School Choice: Build New or Not?”, talks about unsafe and unhealthy environments that could impact the students and budgets. It is important to rebuild Lincoln Junior High School, built in 1923, in Plymouth, Indiana because it will give students more learning opportunities and fix some health/safety issues. Others believe that it is a better idea to renovate the school.
At school, students have the right to freedom of speech. Some students do not realize that as a student, we cannot say everything that we think we can. At Hazelwood High School, a student had put some articles in their school newspaper that the administrators thought that the articles were not appropriate for a school newspaper. With that in thought, the administrator, which was the school principal, deleted the articles that was not just the two offensive articles but everything on the two pages that were deleted. That in return made many students angry at their principal for taking their freedom which is stated in the First Amendment. However, when this went to the Supreme Court, they agreed with the school, saying that it was part of the school’s curriculum so there for the school can edit and take out anything that they feel is unnecessary. Later the Court went and said that public
It is to my understanding that the topic of discussion amongst the district is to where the next high school football stadium should be built. I wholeheartedly believe that Grace Davis High School is a very strong candidate for this position. With the school almost being 60 years old, I think a football stadium would be an innovative way to rejuvenate Davis high school. Often, when students picture the perfect high school, a football stadium comes into mind. However, I would not necessarily say that a football stadium would make our school perfect. Davis High School is perfect because we are all full of spirit and together we are one big family and what better way to bring us all together than building the school a stadium? With newer schools
It just so happens that the lack of certain classes affect how "boring" or "entertaining" school is. Such classes are that of art, which can be essential to some teenage growth. My school is no exception, Odenville Middle School needs an art class.
“Opponents say school uniforms infringe upon students’ right to express their individuality, have no positive effect on behavior and academic achievement, and emphasize the socio economic disparities they are intended to disguise.” (Procon.org 1). I think that Crestwood High School should not require school uniforms because parents spend about one billion dollars per year on school uniforms. While some believe that Crestwood High School should require uniforms because they may deter crime and increase students safety.(Procon.org 1). I strongly maintain that we should not require uniforms, so students could have a right to express their thoughts. School uniforms would not be good for Crestwood because it restricts students’ freedom of expression
It seems like since the dawn of humanity every teenager has despised school. Who's to point the finger at them for hating school? All they do is go to school and do work then go home and do more work. We have to sit in an unbearably painful chair and do work that doesn't even motivate us to do it. Something needs to change. Crown Point High School can make school more fun by letting students leave for lunch, letting students have their phones out, and having no homework.
Everyone has times in their life when they have to say goodbye. It’s often extremely difficult especially if they’re saying goodbye to someone they care about. My last day of high school was a very bittersweet day because I knew I had to say goodbye to my favorite teacher, Mr. Hoss. Mr. Hoss was my global history and government teacher. He was a very special teacher and truly cared about his students. He knew that I struggled a lot in his classes and he never gave up on me. He also had what the two of us called “Hoss Power” which would come into action whenever I was feeling stressed out. He always knew how to make me feel better with his kind words. He also gave me a feeling of reassurance because he knew no matter how much school work I had to do, I would get it all done. By the time it got to the last period of the last day of school, most students often wanted to go hang out with their friends, or go home. Spending time with Mr. Hoss was much more important to my sister, Jamie and I.
If I had the opportunity to become the principle at Pinecrest high school I would change so many things. I would make high school more like college to a certain extent in order to prepare students for college. For example, I would turn the cafeteria into a food court, make a class called After High School, bring field trips back, and have all teachers go electronic. By making these changes I predict the students attendance rate and grades will increase.
Greetings incoming freshmen! I have been assigned to give you advice as you make the joyous transition to Oak Hills high school. Seeing as I have no real highschool experience or social experience, I am sure this instruction will go beautifully. Ah High school the marvelous and breathtaking time where hearts are broken and young lives are ruined. Highschool helps you grow into bright young adults with life experience and social skills. Because, of course shoving people into lockers and smearing ketchup in stairwells is how intelligent adults behave in the real world. This social and educational extravaganza was made to educate and prepare the adults of tomorrow with its lustrous hallways filled with couples searching for each other's tonsils, its remarkable classrooms with
The first interesting fact that Mr. Howard presented to the class during his presentation was the price of a master plan for the University Athletic Association and its renderings of facility upgrades. I was shocked to learn that a master plan with renderings of 7 to 8 facility upgrades from an architecture costs $90,000. Nevertheless, the detail of each of the rendering to buildings such as: the football, baseball, softball stadiums and among others show that the University is taking steps to further improve the fan experience within the stadiums that will seamlessly correlate with all of UF’s championship winning teams. However, to get great results you have to spend the money to receive the outcome you want.
Thursday, September 3, 2015 the Board of Trustees announced at their meeting that a new residence hall would be constructed for the opening of Fall 2017. If one recalls there has not been any type of survey or question to the university population that there is a need for a new residence hall. However, the demand in the University’s Department in Housing & Dining would say that there is a need for an additional building to accommodate the number of students that wish to live on campus.
Well, me being a high school for Lakeside High School I will or would tell my future child a lot. Honestly, high school has a lot of pro’s and con’s that I will tell my child. I will tell my child about how my school is like a prison and so strict. My school was so strict that we probably got in trouble for breathing. We never could do anything because somebody always would have to complain or grip about us having fun. My school is literally ridiculously strict that I would recommend nobody to send their child their.
If I could make a significant change to the structure or appearance of my school, it would be the air conditioner, because it is so hot especially in the summertime in the gym and cafeteria.Another reason is that the school walls are to plain they look so boring.Microwaves are a huge part of the cafeteria and the fact that it's hot the lines are super long just to heat up your food.
I was once a high school student and I visited a large amount of colleges. I went through the tour of the academic buildings and I noticed that the school was beautiful. However, I was an athlete looking for schools with equally as beautiful athletic facilities. Elizabethtown college does not have great athletic facilities at this minute. Furthermore, the sports and wellness center was an immense selling point from the coaches and the school. This Stadium would be the cherry on top of the new and improved athletic facilities. This new stadium will attract more than just potential student-athletes, but regular students will enjoy having the new stadium. They will be able to imagine themselves sitting in the stands and cheering for their classmates. The new stadium will be able to sit large amounts of people for the rivalry
What would you change about your collage if you had to alter it or make
