Climate change known as global warming has been steadily increasing over time. Global warming is a catch phrase of social confusion. Society feels uncomfortable with this notion. Is it real or fake? Little do people know that human progression and population growth adds to carbon emissions in the atmosphere. The term greenhouse gasses mean H2o or water, Co2 or carbon dioxide, and N20 known as nitrous oxide. Through looking at recorded snow fall totals, Lake Freeze overs, and agriculture impacts one is able to start seeing trends in environmental changes. By looking at record snow fall records we can get a sense of historical air temperature and see how a specific location has been warming. Lake Freeze over data also gives good indications of an average air temperature increase. But there are still many people in this world that doubt that climate change is real. Yes earth goes through different periods of time where the climate has changed drastically. Look at the Ice Age, there was a time where a huge glacier stretched all the way across Vermont and in some places that glacier was 2 miles thick. Take for example, former Texas governor Rick Perry, who is in charge of the Department of Energy stated in 2011 that, “Global warming was an unproven scientific theory.”(Sidahmed, M. (2016, December 15). To the new presidential administration the topic of climate change has been looked at as a joke or even as a false idea. What we now know with the amounts of glaciers residing and the rise in temperatures and sea levels I believe that this subject is a bigger topic than what they believe. This subject needs to be taken seriously and we as humans need to take responsibility for some of our actions that have impacted climate change. According to scientists the burning of fossil fuels is the main source for the large amounts of pollutants humans are creating. Fossil fuels such as coal and natural gas produce large amounts of carbon when burned to create energy that we all use. Many people think that the burning of these fossil fuels is not that big of a deal and there are other major contributors in the climate change controversy. The burning of these resources produce thousands of tons of carbon that are released into the atmosphere everyday Most everyone in the United States uses some source of energy produced from fossil fuels. Cars are the second largest source, creating nearly 1.5 billion tons of CO2 annually (Natural Resources Defense Council 2005). Some research shows that climate change is a load of crap. Climate change is a natural event that occurs in cycles of warmings and ice ages, some examples of which are: ice age about 10000 years ago; Mediterranean see froze to ice a few centuries ago; Sea shell in the Artic Ocean suggest a period of warming. The spontaneous worldwide eruption of volcanoes and peak of meteorite and asteroid activity during the dinosaur era would bring more damage to climate that we humans. These so called “scientists” create speculations of these so called “global warming”, “carbon foot print” etc. and conduct these so called “researches” to continue being financed and receive guaranteed income. In other words, the chain of bureaucrats between the investing party and the so called “Climate Fund” pocket a good chunk of the monetary funds before they even reach the over exaggerated or even non-existing issue. Someone makes them up based on evidence that we already have. These theories are for your own belief and there isn’t a right or wrong answer. To understand the debate one must understand the cause and effect of greenhouse gases on our climate. Greenhouse gasses are gasses that trap heat and keep warmth in the earth’s atmosphere. Without greenhouse gasses the earth would be a sheet of ice and uninhabitable. Greenhouse gases are made up of 4 different types of gases, but the biggest contributor is Carbon Dioxide (CO2). CO2 is both created and absorbed by the naturally occurring carbon cycle but it is also created by humans in ways such as the burning of fossil fuels such as coal and oil, through human waste products, and also through chemical reactions and pollution. Global warming has been an on-going issue for many decades. Most people would argue that it is a hoax; while others argue it is true. Climate change can cause a domino effect of catastrophes throughout the world. Once it affects one group, then that affected group will affect another, and so on and so forth; like a plague. Global warming is an authentic problem and we need to find more efficient ways to eliminate it, or at least contain it.

But the article published by Dr. Mark Sircus on “Global Warming -largest science scandal in the history” refutes the theory of global warming. Dr. Sircus states that there is no linkage between carbon dioxide and temperature leading to global warming, the sea level is not rising, arctic sea ice extent is now higher and climate change is due to solar activity. Dr. Sircus also points out that that the recent weather changes are not in line with global warming and “we are in the beginning of a deep freeze” (Global Warming - Largest Science Scandal in US History). NASA and the scientific community states that global warming is not a hoax and there is a rapid increase in Earth’s average surface temperature due to greenhouse gases released as people burn fossils.
