The group gathered at Henry's two story house out in the thickets of Westwego. It was a upscale neighborhood from others , but not the richest one in the area . They placed there bags on the living room floor , looking around the place since its been remodeled . Colleen looks at Sam and Henry. “ I vote no matter what , we stay and sleep in the same room.” They both agreed to her idea , they got on the computer to research anything they can find on Scratch . They found a article about Pontchartrain Beach Amusement Park , it opened in 1928 managed by local owner Harry Batt . “ How about we chop his head off ?” He began to laugh , both Sam and Colleen looked at him with a smart ass expression. “ It was a joke , geez , just trying to get a positive vibe going.” Colleen threw her pizza down. “ This isn't the time or place for jokes Henry , our friend is not well and our lives are in danger because of a dementic clown we brought back from the dead.” Sam swallowed his pizza. “ Why did he come back?” “ You know why Sam , we awoke him.” “ No I know that , but I mean how , what was he really , to just be brought back from hell like that?” They were all silent , biting into there pizza. “ You mean like he was the undead before this?” Colleen replied. “ I don't know , but something just isn't human with this guy.” Henry took a sip of his cola. “ Lets not think of anything until we find some answers , no assuming or jumping the gun.” They all agreed , Colleen takes a big bite into her pizza , starts gagging from the taste of blood in her mouth , she starts choking. “ Colleen you OK?” Henry says , laying her on the counter pushing down to stop her from choking. They layed there in silence , thinking away , listening for any sound for Scratch. The hours went by , it was two in the morning , Sam wakes Henry up . “ Cover me , I'm going to the bathroom.” Henry noded as Sam walked into the bathroom to use it. He turns the water on , splashing some on his face , looking down at the water . He then hears a Scratch coming from behind the towl door , he turns around and sees a large scratch mark on the wooden stain door . He hears a laugh , turning back around seeing Scratch behind him in the mirror , holding a big clever knife full of blood. He panics running out the bathroom , running right into Henry's chest. “ Sam calm down its me , what happened?” “ In there , he was in there.” Henry walks in the bathroom , he sees the scratch mark and a puddle of water from the sink over flowing , he turns it off , turning off the lights and walking back to the living room where Sam is laying down shaking. “ He's gone man , nothing in there now , next time I'm gonna stay outside of the door and wait.” “ Whats it matter Henry , he doesn't want you , your not affraid of anything.” “ Sam I'm sorry , its who I am.” “ Yeah well you will never know the feeling of fear until you see it for yourself.” Sam hides his face in the pillow , turning his back on Henry , Henry goes back to the floor laying down . For the first time in a long time he says
It was the summer of 2015, and this was an usual summer; hot and humid. Me being a college student at Emory University and working at Six Flags I was always busy. Today was one of those days. I have to clock in at Six Flags at 6:00 pm, and then be on time for finals at 8:00 pm.
The boy didn’t tell the police. For several days he didn’t tell anyone at all. He looked at the newspapers twice a day for news of killing, but he didn’t find anything. More than the farmer's gun, he had been frightened by the strength of the farmer's resolve. It had been like a chunk of stone and compared to it the boy had felt as soft as a piece of white bread. The boy never knew what happened. Perhaps nothing had happened.
Mrs. Cooper told her it was a type of writing that Sam could feel called braille. Cally tried to remember how Mrs. Cooper touched Sam’s fingers to talk to him and tried to talk to him with touch, Sam smiled. Mrs. Cooper gave Cally a sheet of paper that had the deaf-blind alphabet with pictures of how to do touches. Cally learned how to talk to Sam using touch. Sam and Cally played outside and the silver-grey dog appeared again and Mrs. Cooper knew that the dog belonged to someone. Cally’s father saw the dog and was angry, he told Cally they are not keeping the dog. A homeless man named Jed came for the dog. Then, Jed saw a picture of Cally’s family and told Cally, she had her mother’s eyes. He went on to explain that a year ago, he was at a scene of an accident and a woman had this puppy and asked him to find her family and give them the dog. The dog was finally home. Cally noticed Sam was not there anymore and went to find him, his swimming bag was missing. Cally ran to the stream and saw Sam in the water, she jumped in to help him but didn’t have the strength. She pulled him to a stump and she knew she had to speak to call for
The late 1800s and early 1900s saw the creation of the first amusement parks in the United States, resulting from the ability to create mechanical rides due to the industrial revolution sweeping the country. This activity was primarily localized in the state of New York, along the boardwalk of Coney Island, Brooklyn.
“Well,” Mrs. Johnson interrupted, “how about we settled down and talk about our plans for the morning?” Everyone agreed and sat in a circle discussing their ideas. Next, they decided they should head to bed due to the early times they would have to wake in the morning. As they woke up, they put on their layers of clothes, grabbed their bags, and headed for the Johnsons’ business. They would be staying in an attic, which luckily had a bathroom, but would have to sleep all in one room. They set up their belongings and set rules which they would have to follow to stay safe.
Now, as I stand upon the soon to break limb, I regret everything. Seeing the river below sent a stream of tingles down my spine. I’ve never been afraid of heights until now. The river, a disturbing mossy green, appeared cold to the touch. Even with it being Summer, the depths of the river looked like a cold shower I never wanted to take. I would, in a certain degree, rather get ratted out by one of the teacher’s inside than jump from this ungodly tree. From my peripheral vision, the two boys were hollering. Finny more than Gene. Consistently, Gene loved the thrill and excitement of danger. With every fiber of my being I praise God that the two boys didn’t dare invite anyone else to the impending doom of my death. Below, I hear the noise of a nearby toad. It’s mouth depicting a loud ribbit. Perhaps predicting my impediment that was soon to come. I glance towards Gene. Silently asking if this was an exceptional idea. He looked at me with a pointed look before proclaiming “you’ll be fine” and turning towards Finny “won’t she?”. Finn thought for a second “Notwithstanding, Kristen is a girl. For the same reason, she won’t! She’s invariably schlemiel.” Anger flashed in my eyes and by the looks of it Gene could tell. With a searing eyeroll and quick turn of my stature, I was
I hurried out to take the pup back to the nest, trying not to cause anymore trouble. I took the pup back to the nest and played with his soft fur with he rested in my lap. Time rushed by, and I spent most of my time in the barn with my brown and white pup. I don't think I could ever thank George or Slim enough for the pup. Slim walked in and he said the pup could get hurt if I pet it more, so I went to the bunkhouse. On my way to the bunkhouse, Carlson and I met up, and we entered the bunkhouse together. I went directly to my bed, I was very tired from all the barley bucking I did today. When I went to the bunkhouse, Curley and every man except George, Candy and me left to see a fight. They believed that Curley’s wife was with Slim, but he was in the barn, and she wasn’t in there. I got up from the bunk, and went to sit with George at the table. George brought up Andy Cushman, haven’t heard that name in a long time, but I remember, “his old lady used to make hotcakes”(56). I got distracted and started drumming out a song I heard not so long ago on the table. I really want to move to our own place an’ live offa the fatta the
Beginning of the Park. The “first” thought of the amusement park started in the middle ages. They had fairs and carnivals, but parks as a whole were brought into trend in the 19th century. These events were called pleasure gardens and trolley parks that had began in the United States and Europe. Since
The stones looked out of place and uneven as Edward wandered the street. He hold one hand on the wall as he walked. One time he almost slipped, but he steadied himself on a railing. It almost made him vomit. The drunkenness tore him apart every day, but he could not stop it. Joy appeared in the ale he drank, and when the glass was dry, the sadness hurt again. He had tried to forget it for years, but the memory always came back. Edward remembered himself standing in the chaos trying to help a cause he did not remember. The entire memory bore violence, blood and a death in the family. That day was a turn of events for him. He remember him holding a rifle and shooting warning shots in the air. Edward was sixteen, a man grown, with start of a beard
Nick walked over to the boy and touched his blade on the side of his face. He made a small incision in the same positioning of the scar he bore. “This ain't supposed to be a constant reminder of what you saw tonight.” He said into his ear, finishing the incision. “This is supposed to be a constant reminder of what could happen. Don't make the same mistake I did kid.” Nick pulled the boy up, and started to loosen the tension in his shoulders. He was immediately jolted back into attention when he noticed the boy was about to throw a punch. “I wouldn't do that Kid. You're damn lucky you ain't dead.” The boy stopped himself after noticing Nick still held the knife. Fresh blood dripping off the end. “Run kid. Run and don't look back.” The boy followed Nick's advice and took off running in the other

All of those games, which were his brainchild, were sold worldwide. One

“So kids, every Halloween, it is said that her ghost, roams the empty hallways of this very school, searching for another female student to take her place.” The students were now on the edge of their wooden seats, eyes wide, listening to every word Mr. Morris said. All of a sudden the loud bell breaks the silence, making each one of them jump.
“Hey Mom!” I said happily as I walked in the door of my house. I had just gotten home from school.
