c) The benefits of positive working relationships with the community include working in a more enjoyable environment, and being creative while exploring new opportunities. • As an educator, it is always beneficial in the workplace to be friendly and trusting. If you are not a trusting person, it will be tough to grow and move to a higher status. If you trust your co-workers and students, it helps to form bonds with each other. • We all need to be respectful when working or interacting with others. Working together and agreeing with similar opinions/ideas can help everyone in the community to reach their goals. Each member of the community will be valued for their ideas and creativity.
Think back to a time in class when there was an open-ended discussion. The teacher would start the discussion with a question or topic and the class would respond accordingly. Usually each question or topic had multiple points of view. The discussion would start when a peer would state their point of view and then another would either support that idea or contradict it with something else. There would be no right or wrong answer, but it would bring to light many suggestions most people in the class would not have thought of on their own. New ideas are born through discussions and opinions. Thinking about and accepting other’s opinions is how we grow and mature. That doesn’t mean we have to agree with them, it just means we have to give their opinions some thought and respect them. Maybe they
The benefits of respecting others on a team are that all individuals feel valued and confident to communicate easier with each other. When people feel respected they work more effectively together towards the same goals. When
For reasons such as this we should try to be respectful and conduct ourselves accordingly.
I think that in general, many of our problems can be solved with mutal respect. Without this principle, people might walk all over you, take advantage of you, not give credit where credit is due, and all a whole host of other dishonest things. Outside of the work place, as well, I think this principle needs to take form as it is essential for cohabitation and mutual understanding,
everyone should feel like they are allowed to speak his or her mind. We believe there should be an open and supportive workplace environment that allows for a space to raise questions and voice concerns. Everyone benefits when employees use their voice to prevent mistakes by asking questions. However, always conduct yourself professionally. Be kind to others. Harassment and exclusionary behavior will not be tolerated.
Giving back to your own community is a very positive action, and after college that is what I would like to do. I want to give back in a way that will give minorities a chance to be accepted into something they might think is impossible. Now that I am older I see the opportunity minorities have verses the opportunities other kids have. Since I am going into the communications field I believe if I came back to Corinth twice a year and gave classes on public speaking kids around here would appreciate it. Even though public speaking is taught in school it would be comprehended better from a person you know personally and from the same background. Many kids around here do not get the same chances as others, not because they are not able or
Consequently, we are co-operative, consultative and ultimately supportive of one another in our activities at BCAS.
The survey will help us determine what is working well and identify areas for improvement in our working culture. The benefits of a positive work culture to you being improved morale, customer service and productivity.
I also appreciate how you shared that all parties should have a code of conduct concerning business. In this discussion, I would like to add to your discussion concerning how a firm should work together as one unit with fairness versus unfair (Ferrell, Fraedrich, Ferrell, 2015).
I am glad you enjoyed my introduction. It’s nice to see we have so much in common. Respect is such an important value in my life. I was raised to show people of all ages respect and to treat others how I would like to be treated. There have been times in my life where I have experience a lack of respect from people I have shown it to. It is not a great feeling and those experiences drive me to be more respectful and kind, rather than the opposite. As you mentioned, respect can create a connection with a variety of people. Especially, in health care respect is so important. As a patient, when I go into see a physician, I want them to listen, understand, and help me in the best way they can. Knowing how I react to health care providers
I have been fortunate enough to live my entire life in the city of Brentwood, TN. A lot of stereotypes come to mind when telling people where I live my everyday life. Such as, money, spoiled kids, nice cars, selfishness, and many others. Every so often you find those people who don’t care about what kind of car they drive, or what brand they’re wearing. Although this type of community surrounds me every day, I have always chosen to give back. Giving back to the community is one of my favorite things to do. Not only do I give back to the community, but I also help with big organizations worldwide. I have been working with a service group since I was in the 10th grade. Every year 8,000 is raised to make one boy or girls wish come true. This is
Winston Churchill once stated that, "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." This quote suggests how one should view and understand his influence towards their community. The impact is not simply made by receiving, but it is what one is willing to give back to his community. Churchill stated this quote to get the public to serve back into their community. In regards to the quote, I have given back to my community by sharing my time and services to my church, my school, and organizations that I volunteer which has allowed me to develop as an individual.
The purpose of this campaign is to inform the community and parents of all the positive activities that occur within the Pocono Mountain School District. Building and strengthening positive relationships with parents and the community is an important aspect of school culture. This campaign will also build awareness of what educators do every day to meet the needs of the students and the community. There is one primary goal to PRIDE on Each Side: Promote the Positive. The goal is for the community to see the school district in a positive light. Two hidden goals would be to build staff moral and for the district to show movement towards the use of social media. Building staff moral would be constructed by the staff being aware of the positive activities in the district/school that sometimes go unnoticed because of the pressure and size of our district.
I want to explain why respect and communication are very imperative for me. First, everybody knows that communicate and respect is basically a matter of talking and listening. I do believe that communicate and respect is a crucial part of all organization. Without this skill, a leader is disadvantaged in a friendly relationship with staff. Without being able to express themselves and listen to others, they cannot a success and cannot build a collaborative work environment.
During my time at Wakefield, I was lucky enough to join and be accepted into many clubs and honor societies within the school. During my Junior year I even calculated that I had completed over one hundred service hours that year alone to fulfill all the necessary requirements to maintain my membership in all the extra-curricular activities I was a part of. One community improvement activity, in particular, stands out as especially meaningful because it has helped me realize my dream career and set the goals I need to set to achieve my dream.
