The Theme of Power in Macbeth

Based on the story of Macbeth I noticed how one cannot handle too much authority. This type of dominance tends to create a sort of hunger for more control and lights a fire of ambition to gain more power which cannot be put out unless confronted by a strong opposing force. Power tends to corrupt the mind.
When you have power, what do you want? All you want is more, to be in charge, to control everything, to be great. For example when Macbeth is confronted by the witches and told that he will be “Thane of Cawdor” and “King hereafter” he is surprised and then after he officially becomes Thane, He and Lady Macbeth soon begin to plot the murder of the King of Scotland to ensure that the prophecy is fulfilled according
