In 2012, about 5.9 million children were admitted into the hospital in the United States. When a child is admitted into the hospital, on average, they have a longer stay than adults. Being admitted in the hospital for an extended period as a child, creates obstacles to have a positive outlook on life. It is hard for parents to be able to take that much time off of work to be there to comfort and support their child. I would like to have the Prairie Meadows Scholarship to help children that have be in the hospital for extensive periods of time, have a better, more positive outlook on life. When you look at commercials for hospitals, they show the happy kids or the ones who pretend to be happy but what about the kids who are not happy about
I would like to pursue a career as an architectural drafter and a drafting engineer. The Prairie Meadows Scholarship would help me financially and it would make it easier to pay off student loans after college. This is my dream job. I love taking architectural and engineer drafting classes at school. My parents always told me to get a job that I would enjoy so I would be happy to go to work. Architecture is something that I enjoy doing and would like to make a career out of.
I applied for these scholarships because I am Christian, who feels it is important to help others and love being around kids. I have received twice the Ruth Award and most Christian character in athletics. Not only I want to be a involved in Pediatric care, but also child development. I want to help them learn academically, mentally, and grow spiritually in Christ.
In my spring 2017 semester Kean awarded me the Freshman Trustee Scholarship for exceptional high school scholastic achievements, such as acquiring a 3.71 unweighted GPA and scoring 27 on the ACT. Whilst having such strong potential for collegiate success, there is a significant demonstrated financial gap in my parents' savings, where I must allocate my job earnings, and the cost for me to independently pursue a college education. Although my brother is diagnosed with severe autism and ADHD, and will remain almost absolutely financially dependent on my parents for his entire life, my source of financial need stems from being the eldest of five. In two years 3/4 of my younger quadruplet siblings, who are juniors in high school, and I will all
I would also like to continue on the fact that it would help rid of anxiety and stress. This scholarship would allow me to purchase all of my books, pencils, classes, and other basic needs to go to school. Covering that cost would definitely take away stress, anxiety and heart aches. I would not go into serious debt from college which would help me financially now and
I am in a position where I am having difficulty finding the resources I need to finish my degree. I took about a year off from working to take care of my chronically ill father. In addition, I have recently been through a divorce and have a three year old child that I’m supporting. My income is not where it needs to be to say the least. I am also in a position where I don’t have a lot of federal aid in loans left to pay for school. A scholarship would help me to stretch the last of my aid to pay for my education. I would be putting a scholarship to great use and it would allow me to focus more on my education and be the best that I can be. I know that I will get through school one way or the other and that I will give back to Cox and the city of Springfield for taking a chance on me and helping me with my education. Springfield is my home and I plan on working as nurse at Cox for many years to come. A scholarship granted to me would help me to become a nurse and would be served back to the community through the skills that I will have gained through my education. I would be very grateful to receive a scholarship and would make sure that any scholarship granted to me was not wasted. I made the dean’s list fall 2014 and have been keeping good grades. I hope that Cox will consider be as a good candidate to receive one because I have great passion, have a passion to

Through the Weissman Scholar program I will finally be able to decide what college I would like to attend and pursue my dream of becoming a Neonatal Nurse. If I were to receive this scholarship it would boost my confidence knowing that I took on the responsibility of starting college with a strong foundation that will help me get on step closer to reaching my career goal. This program will push me forward and give me the ability to obtain a degree in Nursing and help me one day achieve my dream of becoming a Neonatal Nurse. Since very few of my family members went to college I find it very important to receive an education so you can have a brighter future. My parents have always struggled throughout my whole life to find the money to support
By receiving the McCoole VFW Auxiliary Scholarship, it will help me achieve my future goals of attending Frostburg State University to start my long journey in getting my Ph.D. in psychology. I will have to go to college for a minimum of eight years to achieve this goal. Or after my four years at Frostburg State University I will attend a Medical School to complete four more years in order to become a Psychiatrist. Either decision will enable me to go and pay for eight years of college. So by obtaining this scholarship, I will be able to start paying for this opportunity. I have always dreamed of helping people and being able to make a difference in people’s lives. My dream is to get a career in psychology and either become a psychiatrist
The overall programmatic goal of the Jame Madison University Valley Scholars program is primarily to provide access to higher education and academic support to local, low-income, at-risk, and underserved middle and high school students in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. In order to establish this goal, the Valley Scholars program provides and encompasses a variety of activities for these students, which are mentioned in the previous sections.
As a mother of a young four year old girl this scholarship would help us because not only would it
I would like to thank this foundation and it’s donors for considering and choosing me as a recipient for the scholarship award of $2,500. It means so much to me to receive this award that will allow me the chance to continue my studies at the University of Virginia under their nursing program so that I can become the nurse that I someday aspire to be.
When I first started school at Hillsborough Community College, I worked two part-time jobs to pay tuition while maintaining a full time course load. As graduation approached I knew that the decision to further my education would require more time and funds. While short on money, I still decided to transfer from Hillsborough Community College to the University of South Florida to further my education in Social Work with a minor in Public Health. I personally believe that education is an investment in yourself that is certainly worthwhile. To be able to receive the Eugene and Mary Lou Powell Veteran Success Last Mile Scholarship would make a significant impact on my college experience. Receiving this scholarship would relieve a huge financial
I am super cited and grateful to the American College of Healthcare Executives for awarding me the Albert W. Dent Scholarship. This is truly a great help, and I am appreciative of the opportunity. My full name and mailing address is
Thank you for awarding me a scholarship to further my education at Radford University. In addition I appreciate the graduation gifts, cards and words of encouragement as I celebrated graduation from high school. I promise to work hard and use all gifts wisely. And, most importantly I can’t thank you enough for your prayers, opportunities and support given me growing up in Loudon Avenue Christian Church. Love you, Joseph Sparrow
