Every pre-teen favorite day is their 13th birthday because you’re finally a teenager. My 13th birthday was on September 11th 2010, but who knew just7 days later September 18th 2010 was going to be the day that changed my life significantly. Growing up an only child with a single mother you can image I was a little spoiled. My mother and father got divorced when I was between the ages of 3-4 years old.my father stayed in Pensacola, Florida but after the divorce my mother and I moved to Atlanta Georgia. When I was in 5th grade my mother had a fiancé Lloyd Jason Henderson was in the wrong place at the wrong time and was murdered. He was shot in the head rushed to the hospital and died in the ambulance. He died September 19th 2006. Afterwards she didn’t date much or at least I didn’t think she did within the mean time she had about 5 boyfriends that I knew about. She wasn’t the type to bring constant men in and out my life. So on September 18th 2010 at my 13th birthday party this strange guy walks in through the garage door with my mom. He’s about 5’10 skin the color of caramel his hair was so nice it made you sea sick. He had a muscular build like Channing Tatum, with some diamond studs in his ears and a few visible tattoos. In his hand was a pink envelope that had Brianna written on the front. My first thought is who is this? He looked familiar even though I know I haven’t seen him before. Then that’s when it hit me he looked just like Nelly the singer/actor. Then my mom sys
September 2003 is a date that has impacted my life in various ways. Every person is a book in process, we have a beginning, make critical choices, have a climax, but with no wonder how it will completely end. When I was six years old, I didn’t realize I was going to start my American Dream. I was not aware that I was leaving my love ones, my best friend, and my house to live in a country where I knew and had nothing. Crossing the scorching deserts in the middle of the night, I had no idea my life was actually going to change for the better. Being brought from Mexico, I was directly enrolled in Pactolus Elementary School in North Carolina without any basic knowledge of the English language. As a new student, I was afraid to speak because I did not know
It was Saturday, September 3rd: my birthday. I woke to find my parents awake. “Happy birthday honey”, said my parents. I jumped out of bed and start asking my parents if we are going to the beach. “I don’t think we can”, my dad said. “Why?”, I asked. I looked out the window and saw the waves reaching the walls. “No”, I yelled. “Sorry, Gilbert, the waves are too strong”, my mom said. “We can still do other things like mini golfing and laser tag”, Dad said. “Okay”, I
October 23rd, 2002, a very dreadful day for my family… my day of birth. Maybe it was wonderful, but I’ll never know the truth. My dad will not actually tell me what he was thinking in that moment, and I will never hear my mom talk about that day, or any day, or actually anything ever again. I’ll get to the death of my mom later. As I came home from the hospital I have no memory of that, but my earliest memory is around the age of six. Six years old, and sitting on a bar stool. I’d sit, sip a Sprite, munch on some crackers while my dad got shit faced drunk. I remember the small room. Smells of smoke and alcohol fill my nostrils. I sat on a bar stool so long that my butt print was engraved in it, kind of like the fat guy that I used to talk to. He was up
One day, coming back from a half-day at school, I arrive at my house only to hear a crashing noise. At first my mom thought that my dog was stuck in an area in our house, but then we walked in. The back window was broken, and there was glass, a rock, and dirt all over the carpet. I walk to my room and see a redheaded teenager running away from our house. I only saw a bit of his face when he turned around to look back at the house one more time. I noticed that he was wearing a green shirt, a green backpack, and some blue jeans. A couple minutes later, my mom called 911. When the police arrived, they asked me to tell them everything that I saw. From facial features, to the freckles on his face. Once I gave them the description, they put me and my mom in the police car and took me on a drive to find him…
It was early June, and my birthday was right around the corner. My mother and father told me this tenth birthday would be a birthday I would never forget. Sunday morning we woke up out of bed, ate a tiny breakfast, and packed the car till mom's last purple bag barely fit. I asked where were we going and why we had packed so much, but I never got an answer. I later discovered that we would be taking a plane to Florida, where I would eventually get lost, and a very interesting car ride home.
We started school almost two weeks before my birthday, while in school i was telling everyone that I was getting a guitar. People who I knew who played guitar were going to help me learn how to play. When my mom told me she was getting me the guitar I didn’t notice that she didn’t say the guitar she said a guitar. I also didn’t notice that she was smiling and laughing when she had said that. The morning of my birthday Aug. 27, I woke up to my mother and sister singing happy-birthday to me. My best friends gave me some candy as gifts while heading to school. While at school all my teachers wished me a happy birthday and some of my favorite teachers even gave me a gift. That day at school was a good day one of the best days I had all three years of middle school. While on the school bus going home all I could think about is getting the guitar and playing it. When I opened the door my mom and sister were waiting for me with a cake. The cake was very big cake with guitars and note’s all around it with a plastic guitar in the middle of the cake with the words “ROCKSTAR” written on it. After we ate I started opening presents I gotten money from family that lived in Colorado, had gotten a few more
My story starts out my verry few years before I started kindergarten. I was a little girl born on April 16, 1998 on a rainy day. My grandma always told me that the entire day it was storming, but the second I was born, it stopped. I was born into a loving family. My mom was a new teacher, my dad a hard working construction worker, so we didn’t have much money as I grew up, but I didn’t care. I had an older brother that always liked to scare me. There was one time that he put on his halloween mask and jumped out from behind the door; I didn’t go
First of all, I never thought I would believe in 13 as an unlucky number or Friday the 13th honestly, I thought it was just fake right until this happened. It was Thursday, October 12, 2013 I was at school looking for something to do for extra money and in front of me was, an ad on the board for a house sitter, just for the weekend. I have baby - sat before so kind of the same thing except watching kids. Later, I went home and called the phone number on the ad the guy’s name was Cody he offered me $200 just to watch the house for him so I agreed. The next morning, it was Friday, October 13, 2013 everyone was working on stories we had to present on Monday I of course had no idea for the story none of the stories are real but they could
I thought my birth year was special all because of my birthday? After all these years I’ve never realized other important events that had happened on my birth year. There are so many interesting events that had happened on my birthday. It was very hard to choose from many interesting subjects such as sports, movies, and actors/actress. My decision that I chose was to do a combination and pick 3 of the most interesting subjects that happened during the year of 1994. At first I wanted to do events on my exact birthday September 23, 1994, but they did not have very interesting events so I had the choice of doing events on the year of 1994.
I was thirteen, a happy teenager headed home from a weekend at the lake alongside my best friend and her family. It was one of the moments in life that I will never forget in hindsight, for many different reasons. We had spent all weekend on the boat, laughing, and tubing. At thirteen, I had my family, my friends, food and shelter over my head. What more could a girl ask for? On the four-hour car ride home I had been calling my parents, and else anyone that I could think of to let them know we were safe and headed home, all without hearing a word back. I began to have a gut feeling that something wasn’t right; my gut knew something that I
I’m going to go back to the day I got you…my birthday! To start I’m going to tell you a little bit about myself, I guess I’m just an ordinary girl, with an ordinary family. I’m 13 years old now; I was born on the 12 June 1929, and I guess I do have a great family, living in a great home. I could name at least 30 people I would call my friends, but we aren’t really close at all. We just talk about normal day things, and I never really tell them my feelings or secrets. Therefore, I’m rather glad I have you, as you can be someone I can
To begin with, I was born on November 5th. Based on how much dates I have been telling you, I believe you deserve a time line. November 5th is my birthday; this is when I turned seven, November 8th is when I had my party; this marked my last happy memory with him that I can remember, and November 17th is the day my father died; he died in a car crash on his way to work. At this time I didn’t have a single clue about what death was. It was something that I couldn’t believe actually happens. This was until my bestfriend died, at age thirty nine, my dad was not going to return home to me or my family. When I was told that he was in the hospital I thought he was sick. This didn’t worry me until I asked my grandfather when I will be able to visit him. He told me that I wasn’t going to be able to and I immediately asked why. He told
April 11, 2015 was a very special day and very exciting to me. April 11, 2015 I became 18 and I got my first car and went to my senior prom all in one day. I had to consider time management in order to make sure I was on schedule to make grand march and prom. Preparing for prom was another stressful part, but rewarding because I got to look beautiful for my birthday, my glow day. Prom was fun and an amazing way to celebrate my turning 18. April 11, 2015 was a special day, but not just because I turned 18 but because I had something to celebrate. Thank you all for listening and have a good
It all started when I woke up I looked out my window to a stranger staring at me I rubbed my eyes and poof he was gone so I thought I was seeing stuff and carried on with my day. I got ready for school and went downstairs kissed my momma good morning and hugged my dad then my amazing little brother was next I picked him up like it was my first time seeing him in forever. I loved him with all my heart! Then I left for school I’m a senior at Jackson high school so obviously, I drove I picked up my best friend like I do everyday first Viola Jackson the most popular girl at the school. Next Delilah Marie she always had the best fashion the last I picked up was the identical twins Alec and Jace Bridgewater Alec is the captain on the football team and Jace is the captain of the baseball team. I have the best friends in the world but as the day went on things had gotten way worse!
It was the day after my birthday. My grandma had brought me and some friends down to visit her and my grandpa. The day after we got there my grandma wanted to take us to a skatepark in columbia but we had a slight problem. We didn’t know how to get there so we had to wait a couple of days. So that day instead of going to columbia we just went to a skatepark in jefferson city. It was fun but i really wish we could’ve went to the skatepark in columbia.
