When I googled the definition of a prep school before starting this assignment I learned a prep school is a private school that prepares students for college. With this in mind I began my research on Darlington Prep in Georgia. I had never known anything about what happens at prep schools besides a one year tuition is around the price of a new car. While doing this research I found there are many advantages and disadvantages between the two types of schooling, public and prep schools. The main advantage I learned about attending a prep school is all of the classes are based off of college readiness. With having the students prepared for college, the schools main goal about 90% of all students who attend a prep school for at least 3 years

Why choose to go to Charter School rather than public school? Charter schools are public school of choice, meaning families choose for their children. Federal legislation provides grants to help charters to manage start-up costs. They create better educational opportunities for the students therefore they have higher expectations in teaching. Charter Schools and zoned (public) schools are tuition free but unfortunately not everyone can get in to Charter school, since it works by lottery. Everyone has the opportunity to apply and has a choice to attend Charlet School if the students are lucky enough to get in. Charter schools are more effective for three reasons: they have higher graduation rates, teachers are more prepared and devoted to their students, and teachers take a greater responsibility for their students as they compete against Zoned Schools.
Public education is the most important form of education. It provides people with the common ability of social skills. Which can not be replaced with home school. Home school does not provide the amount of people and the situations that are presented to you at a public school. Some would argue that private school is better
This article written by Ron Lieber focuses on a prep school that prepares students for their secondary educational level. There’s a twist in this school. Although they are trying to prepare you to compete for those college admissions, the school as well teaches you the farm lifestyle. This school with the type of teaching, guides the students to learning about wants and needs. With this teaching style, they get to learn how to grow and produce food for themselves. Teaches you the basic necessities to survive in this world. Teamwork is a big priority in this institution. The place that they are located, they are limited to any internet. Limiting them from materialistic items. Although somehow they do get in contact with it. Many have tried to
When I made the decision to get an Elementary Education degree, I realized I wanted to start looking at colleges that specialize in education degrees. I fell in love with 2 colleges; The University of Montevallo and the University of Georgia. To make my decision, I have cut down into the three most important factors for me; cost, location, and size.
Welcome to Pencey Prep. This Is a school that is full of fake students and teachers. Basically everything about this school is fake. Because everything about this school is not truthful, even everything in this brochure will be almost completely fake. teachers here care very little about their students, and all they care about is money and themselves. Students that go to this school are very spoiled and out themselves in front of others because they think they are more important because they go to this
In America today, Americans have progressively paid more attention to the schooling process, trying harder to get the best education possible for their children. Catholic schools and Public schools both have advantages and disadvantages. Today, parents choose whether they would like to have their child in a public or private school. Both schools provide education and opportunities for students, but the decision of where to go is based on preferences of the parents. As educational institutions, Catholic Schools and Public schools are similar, yet different.

The first time I attended the summer enrichment camp at The Mississippi School of Math and Science as a 7th grader, I knew I wanted it to become my high school. It was such a rewarding experience, and I felt right at home. The mission of MSMS is to “enhance the future of Mississippi by meeting the individual needs of gifted and talented students through providing innovative learning experiences and leadership development in a residential environment...” In other words, MSMS gives students that desire to learn on a higher level an opportunity to learn in a residential setting. Residential high schools such as MSMS are quite different from regular high schools. A person may choose to attend a residential high school for many reasons. Consequently, these reasons include the environment, the faculty, and the class size.
Charter schools serve students better than public schools because charter schools have a lot to offer. If parents send their children to private school they would have to fork out the tuition bills themselves. Since charter school financing is taken care of by the public, parents don’t need to worry about having enough money to send their children to school. So many families that cannot afford to enroll their children in private schools can have the option of sending their children to charter schools. The public financing that charter schools receive makes it free for all families. Many charter schools have special interest classes and give students a choice to choose classes such as the performing arts. Those students that attend these

Improving access and equity in education are professional and personal goals, as I believe they are critical to the health and success of our citizenry. If selected, I will be honored to be part of Blackstone Valley Prep and will work enthusiastically towards achieving
