Between the immense organization, optimization, and communication assets skilled project management brings to a project, it is easy to see why project management is a booming field of study. Furthermore, project management can be both financially and personally rewarding when long term milestones and goals come to fruition.

Project management has existed in some form for thousands of years. However, this definition doesn’t seem to elaborate on all the principles and numerous factors, which define a project as compared to Association for Project Management (APM). An operation usually has the same resources, same tasks and a standard output expectation.

In general project development is changing, from large industrial construction projects to focusing on projects that bring results right to the bottom line by delivering greater efficiencies and cost cutting measures to organizations. Completion is now King in many industries, with healthcare a shining example where service efficiencies and cost cutting are driving the need for Project Management services at an unprecedented rate.
