I have been involved in Science Olympiad since seventh grade, but I did not hold a defined leadership role until elected president at the end of my sophomore year. Initially, I was hesitant to run; my primary opponent was the current president and had all the advantages of an incumbent. However, I was not deterred; I saw signs of mismanagement firsthand: team-wide procrastination, overuse of funds, and stagnation.

I have been attending Anthem Prep for five consecutive years and I am applying the role of Freshman Class Representative. Being president of the Sophomore Class would be a wonderful opportunity to exercise my strengths and abilities. I think, with my strengths, I would be a great candidate for Class President.
