They say there are no rules in filmmaking but some may see it otherwise. Having these features involved in movies go along with the genre and tonality. Some of the greatest and iconic films over the course of history involve technical editing and directing skills that are all put together strategically. There are several key aspects that include the plot, characters, and especially the theme because it lingers the entire film. The film “Pulp Fiction” directed in 1994 by Quentin Tarantino is based on the life of hitmen starring Samuel L. Jackson & John Travolta. Another famous star in the movie is Uma Thurman played as the hitmen wife along with many other characters that make this film so iconic. It is interesting to analyze this film to see how it manages not only to preserve the thrill of a gangster’s life, but how the intentions were not all bad. Pulp Fiction is known as an iconic crime and drama film. Along with the unique cast of characters, there are many connections to pop culture and also shows the transformation of the character especially “Jules” and “Butch”. Music is incorporated into the film to fit in with the epic theme. Not only is the film exquisitely created, but also the songs and sound are also what make the film iconic. For example, Chuck Berry’s song “You never can tell” played in the scene where Mia and one of the gangsters had a twist off dance in a 50’s American restaurant. On the other hand, the set of the film was recognizably the 90’s. Another iconic scene that is also in the beginning of the film is when Vince and Jules discuss American fast food. More specifically, they talk about “Big Macs” and McDonalds. For example, in the scene when they are both driving, Jules asks Vince about a Big Mac saying, “What’d they call a Big Mac?” Vincent then replies that in another country a “Big Mac's a Big Mac, but they call it Le Big
