Purdue University, established in 1869, serves a wonderful place to attend a four year college. It has everything from Big Ten sports to clubs and activities that anyone can join. ("In The Arena: Episode 07.") It is proven fact that one in every three space missions has a Purdue graduate on board? Purdue also has the world’s largest bass drum! (“10 Fun Facts About... Purdue.”) Purdue performs highly in their curriculum, especially in the agriculture and engineering fields. They offer many scholarships, like the Purdue Promise, to make their tuition fee more affordable. The goal for their 39,409 students puts emphasis on making the college experience very memorable. ("Undergraduate Admissions.") Since Purdue dominates in their engineering program, it allows them to also have a fantastic mathematics department as well. Donu Arapura teaches mathematics and does a stand up job. As students in this department they can do an assortment of things, one being internships. When people hear the word “college”, many panic inside at the thought. But, when I hear the word “college” I think about Illinois State University. In early July, I attended an Open House at ISU for my very first official college visit. As I stepped onto campus, I couldn’t but help to feel like it was my future home. Many aspects of the tour made me draw nearer to choosing this college after finishing my High School career. Illinois State University seems to fit my personality very well, has an amazing program for what I want to study, and is an outstanding campus for my academic strengths and weaknesses.

Upon my visit at Texas A&M University at College Station I was intrigued by the unique traditions of the university. The campus itself was not like other big city campuses, it had its own zing. It is an open minded place and I aspire my mind to be opened to what is out there. College station is with today’s movements and they are moving forward. The school’s atmosphere is friendly and inviting, it is definitely somewhere I'd like to be. Accordingly, on the hand of my education, the engineering program is wonderful.
